That was a 75 minute mistake by Israel. If that's a mistake, imagine how long a deliberate attack will last? They attacked the Liberty because they thought that the intelligence gathered was getting passed on to Egypt.

An Israeli film titled ( Rouh Shakid) was made on the killing of the Egyptian war prisoners from 1967 war, decrlaring that 250 soldiers were shot alive,.but in Egypt no such story was confirmed by both the Government and the soldiers' families.
So this justification for the Israeli attack on the American ship, because the USA President did not allow Israel from attacking the Golan heights is in contrast with the fact that this heights mostly is under occupation by Isreal since 1967 war.

Lockwood said he or they did not know who was attacking them. Did not some of the survivors on deck see the Israeli gunboats with their Star of David insignia ?
Those were the reports from the initial flyovers before any attack took place. When they started attacks, they used all unmarked jets.
