Honestly, they have the formula for it, and it would feel better to control IMO. You just assign each pin to a button and you only control one character. Dodging would make way more sense and you wouldn't have stupid situations where you're controlling someone who wasn't the last pin you used. I got hit so many times because I was controlling Fret after shooting a Noise, when I'd finished that and started slashing at it with Rindo. Buggy. Not unexpected, with such a weird system, but still. Just giving us a single character using all the buttons on the controller as pins would have worked.

NEO's gameplay was genuinely a breath of fresh air for me, to the point I started actively looking for fights unlike other rpg's because of how fun the combat is. So I'd rather it just stay how it is personally
