In Southern Iran We have A lot of Date and Coconut Palms and we make many things from those trees like Alcoholic Drinks, Sugar , Coffee , Syrup, Basket , Distilled Drinks , Compost , Oil ,........

When you reach the pH level 7-8 is better for the soil where the date plant is planted. And we can use NPK Fertilizer 20:10:10 to make it growing better, and after 2-3 years, we can use NPK 16:16:16. If the plant is getting bigger and ready for flowering or if we want to push the plant bearing the flower, we can use NPK Fertilizer 9:25:25.
We can use any fertilizers around us, we also can use manures as organic fertilizer or compost too, to make better soil for the date palm plant.
And don't forget watering the plants, if the plant needs (depend on the climate in our areas). Watering the plant as much as it need.
And the important things on date palm plant treatment is giving cares, just like our children.

Could a similar effort on sapling generation be undertaken?preferably from seed!!!!!
Seeds do not produce the same fruit ( variety- obviously a date but not a medjool) as the parents and only half will be females. Cuttings from a good mother is how it is done.
I'm growing dates from seed. Is there a way to find out early if a plant is male or female before they flower? How do you keep the tree from getting too tall?

As it rains sooo much there , if your in part where it doesn't rain much then you can plant it
