@@bartvanos1466I remember when she was on a show and she introduced Margaret Thatcher has " the woman who has put the Great back into Great Britain" and you say leave politics out of this!
I knew someone who interviewed Cilla Black on local radio ... off air, she used a posh accent, and was really stuck up... even on this show, she doesn't use the clownish Liverpudlian accent of Blind Date, etc..
A lot of nonsense, she was nothing like that, I met her twice and glad to say she was exactly as she had appeared on TV, talking to everyone, having a laugh, signing autographs and even attending an unofficial fan club do, staying longer than she intended, to the point she had less than an hour till her live show, she was STILL waiting and chatting with fans at past midnight afterwards, she certainly wasn't stuck up. A lot of stories are repeated by someone who knew someone who knew someone and it's too easy to rubbish someone when they are no longer around to defend themself.
Very much of its time. Think I was very young when this was broadcast.
Love the Burke’s Law music at start.
Such a natural, love Cilla
Cilla. Under-rated singer, shame about the belt. But lovely vibrato. How creepy was TV in 1965?
Bruce 37 and already looks 57. He was never young.
His act was old as well.
Black was one of Thatcher's greatest admirers!
Let s leave politics out of it.

You’re dead right. She had airs & graces off camera and was totally different from how she appeared on camera.
That's sad to hear. Cilla comes across as such a girl next door type.
