    this is a scissor lift table i use 16mm linear actuator for lifting, i also use 60X60mm tiles for the table it comes out nice and brilliant looking. all metals are 1x1 and 1x2 tubular.
    power supply should be 12 volts and atleast 5 amphere up.

    thats brilliant !... great design and very versatile too. I could use that for lifting my bike or scooter or as a workbench for ripping sheet wood or any woodworking or metalworking project. It could also be used to push heavy awkward items of furniture around.

      @johncooper7242 it is way too high at the lowest point you would have to lift your bike at least 2 ft to sit on the top.

    Best design I have seen so far! Not sure about the tiles? I thought they were metal plates. The electrical actuators were a great touch, you have inspired me.

    Great video. Great design. I've been looking for something like this to learn how to put the bearings in correctly. My only suggestion would be adding some guarding on the outside of the bearing slots so that you dont accidentally pinch and crush your fingers as the table actuates up and down

      They look like some kind of fiber cement board. They aren't regular porcelain or ceramic.

      @@g.e.o.r.g.e... they are ceramics im a tiler by trade the only thing id suggest is to add another support under the centre of those tiles especially for a road bike application

      I noticed that also the tiles.even if he add sipport on that still breaks.maybe 1inch plywood then a thin metal plate on the surface

    You need to add a safety mechanism. If those actuators fail when at full height, its' going to be a messy and danger disaster. Suggest a one way latch for the lower rolling mechanism that locks the top bed at intervals so if it fails, it will only drop to the last latch. You can make this unlatch when lowering and spring loaded with a return when it reaches the lowest position.

    I want something like this to lift motorcycles during service/ repair job as it makes it convenient to access the underbelly

      This actuators can't lift a motorcycle. Better use hydraulic jack

      A platform bike lift will set you back about £350. Food operated. Hydraulic. Or, look up “Abba sky lift”. A bit dearer but looks like a nice piece of kit. Others can be operated by worm drive using your electric drill.

    So cool!! Is it possible to put the linear actuator lower down so that the scissor lift is almost totally collapsed on the ground ( given that the stops you made was placed further away)- or does the linear actuator only lift the table if it is in a sloping degree?

      2hannablom5803 it would be possable but I do not know how there would be other people that is smarter than me that could do what you asked.This unit is way too high from the starting point.
