    The Obi-Wan Kenobi show really has it all. Utter stupidity. Obi-Wan looking pathetic. Darth Vader looking pathetic. A couple of good moments, I know, I don’t believe it either. And huge, galaxy breaking, plot holes that destroy the Original Trilogy. This episode's huge story plot hole has to be seen to be believed. You could say, it’s the perfect example of modern Hollywood.
    Let’s talk about the disaster that is Obi Wan Kenobi episode 3

      They mostly hate the old stories. Thus why they subverted the characters when they did: The ones that genuinely love Star Wars want to honor what came before, and the ones that want to push the agenda hate what came before and want to tear down the ones they see as being the old guard in favor of their own creations.

They would make Vader a woman, Luke a black guy, Leia a feminists who basically takes Lukes role, and everyone else is either a black guy, gay guy, black girl, feminist, Lesbian, Transgender, Non binary, or very Fat. And the only masculine males would be very very toxic and turn out to be controlling and lying to Vader.

    • @garym6315
      @garym6315 Рік тому

      I think they actually painted themselves in to a corner by having the original trilogy actors in the sequel trilogy and the TV shows. If they'd bought Lucasfilm now, they would have rebooted the whole thing as a "less problematic" version. But they messed up by connecting The Force Awakens to the old film. It ties their hands as to what they can do. Hence why we get stuff like this where they try to retcon Leia's prominence in the entire saga. If you can't remake the trilogy then make prequels that re-frame your perspective on events.

    The stormtrooper on the transport scene is a great example of how they really couldn’t have given this script any thought at all. It would be so simple to write it so those particular stormtroopers weren’t assigned to look for the Jedi, that they were doing something else. You’d still have tension until that’s revealed or maybe you don’t even reveal it at all. But this show seems to go out of its way to raise basic questions that are never addressed, let alone answered. Like how they’ve treated Star Wars since they bought it, it feels like the people responsible for one installment are not given the full details about the other installments. When you show in the previous episode that there are images of Obi Wan floating around to people trying to capture him, the audience is going to note that and then wonder how others can’t recognize him later on. This is so basic that I really can’t imagine that anyone who was aware of the previous episode would write it like this on purpose. It’s like they assigned different people to each episode and only gave them the most basic description of the overall story.

      Although, I would love to have seen a second movie with Saffron taking over Wash's role as Serenity's pilot. I think a change like that would've been needed to add an interesting layer of conflict to a second movie. Otherwise, it's better that there's only one movie. There would have to be an interesting element to a second movie, or it would just be like the second Downton Abbey movie: It's fun to see the characters again, but the movie is ultimately uninteresting and unnecessary and only spoils where the previous movie ended the story.

I think back to Afro Samurai vs Kuma where it's revealed that Kuma had tears in his eyes the entire time they were fighting. And while he fought Afro he screamed in agony about everything that he perceived Afro took from him. Would have been great to hear Vader do the same, as his fixation on Obi-wan is partly because of this, and also because he wants to sever his old bonds, but still, it was always passion that motivated Anakin to become Vader. I understand that the things and people he was passionate about are no longer around, but he could have still still felt passion and showed some sith hatred for the man who took everything, even three of his limbs, and left him to die. This Vader should have been a continuation of the one from the end of Episode 3 where he finds out Padme is dead and destroys everything via force energy. If this was the case then the scene where Vader killed civilians indiscriminately wouldn't have looked like a typical Sunday for our Sith, and made more sense (he'll kill anyone to get to Obi Wan).

It's not only had a ton of the crap edited out, but it's obviously turned the show into a full fledged movie instead. It's fantastic, the work that went into it. There's scenes that have been brought back from the prequel trilogy to establish certain shots, and callbacks to moments that make some scenes feel more organic. Then there's the only flashback scene in the series - it's now been edited into the final fight, instead of randomly in the show. I would seriously recommend giving it a go.
