It was a good competitive close fight. My opinion: Triple G won that fight again. But my issue is the 12th round. Everyone knows GGG won that 12th round but 2 out of the 3 judges scored the 12th for Canelo. Oscar De La Hoya knows a Trilogy makes $. Boxing is a Business 1st 🤷♂️.
GGG fought hard for the first 30 seconds of the 12th but Canelo clearly won that round.
Why would they set up a trilogy if GGG lost twice. It would make sense if it was 1 win Canelo 1 GGG.

I'm a GGG fan. However Canelo won this fight. The last fight was an eye opener to GGG fans . He clearly respected Canelo power and was 2nd to his speed.
This time Canelo fought toe to toe and stepped up to challenge GGG. Triple GGG was not able to out box him and most IMPORTANTLY was unable to implement his way of boxing. Why? Because he felt Canelo power
I'm a Canelo fan but hands down I give much respect to GGG. Classy guy and gives no excuses. With that being said, I thought GGG won the 1st fight and 2nd could've been a Draw. Looking forward to a Trilogy.
The last fight GGG clearly won in my opinion. This time around it was even harder to score. I still felt like I could give the edge to GGG. But I feel like this fight could have been a more fair draw result than the last time. Last time GGG clearly got robbed. Here I cant really say the same. It was in Las Vegas, under the promotion of Golden Boy with a Golden Boy fighter so of course if it was really really close they would give it to Canelo. I absolutely loved the fight itself though. I dont think I have seen 2 guys so well matched in a really long time. They could fight till the end of times. They barely ever clinched and when they did it was always clean. Referee barely had to do anything. Boxers can learn alot from these 2. I f**king hate Las Vegas and creeps like Oscar de la Hoya or Floyd Mayweather taking advantage of the rigged system over there. There is already alot of controversy about the scorecards, there was supposedly taken a point from GGG for a headbutt, but the referee never deducted one. Also 2 out of 3 referees gave the last round to Canelo but I really felt like GGG won the last round. My love hate relationship with Boxing is something I have learned to live with. Nowadays I am just analyzing the game and giving people my honest opinion. Yeah I was rooting for GGG, especially with all the PED controversy surrounding Canelo but this was a damn good fight so cant really be mad. We got treated with a legendary fight.

It was a close fight.. maybe a tie even, but since GGG was the Champ the Judges desicions should have been in favor of GGG. You have to beat the Champ without reasonable doubt to get the belt. The fight was super close it should have been GGG to win since he is only defending his belt. Some people will say Canelo was the constant aggressor during the fight thats why he won... well what about their last fight GGG was the aggressor in that fight yet they made it a draw. Their fight was close, yes Canelo did some damage but GGG won rounds too it wasnt a one sided bout. Plus GGG was eating up most of Canelo's best punches and still didnt go down. The fight should have been a brilliant draw. It was a fantastic fight by two brilliant warriors and none of them deserved to lose. Their fitness, skill and durability were on another planet to other boxers and deserved every penny /cent they got.
As a neutral i thought GGG just edged it. GGG is such a great champ and real man who lets his fists do the talking not like Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan who got exactly what he deserved on the under-card fight.
Can GGG keep going and training the way he does? Over 300 amateur fights 40 professional fights - how much can the body and brain cells take and would he still have the desire now?
Maybe it's time to call it a day and bail out with dignity.

As a person who speaks both languages (Russian and English), I confirm translator wasn't accurate enough. He wasn't translating whole question to GGG and wasn't translating full response. Also, we all saw he asked several times to repeat questions. Maybe he couldn't hear, but for sure once he wasn't paying sufficient attention. We can understand he was nervous. But there should have been another translator.

I agree it was a hell of a fight if any of the judges had it wider than 1 round either way i could argue poor judging but in my opinion it was an amazing fight win lose or draw and im content with the decision and these are the type of fights true boxing fans yearn for. Suhhvon Singanonh yep was a great CLOSE fight. I personally scored a draw but could live with either guy by a couple of rounds as they were hard rounds to score.
If GGG got robbed it was of a draw, if anything.Abel on the 7th round told GGG " We are loosing". Canelo gave them what they wanted so GGG Could do what they thought he could do to Canelo. The outcome was different then what Abel expected for GGG. At least Abel is happy with Canelo's performance, which is kind of strange but admirable. GGG is a great fighter and so is Canelo, the only way this is going to be put to rest is with a knockout which we now know will not be easy for neither fighter. Great fight!

This fight was an instant classic. Amazing fight, I thought GGG won as he pounded Canelo from the 4th round on. But Canelo stood toe to toe with GGG, much respect for him being able to stay up after the shots he took from GGG. Its a shame they stole the first fight from GGG as its tainted the series. I hope GGG gets another shot but hell he's at the tail end of his career now.

1. Under cards showed, weigh in weight and actual fight weight, but it only showed GGG and Canelo weigh in weight?
2. Score cards during fight, showed GGG was ahead by 2-4 points for majority of fight, how the hell did GGG still lose?
3. On official scorecard Glenn Feldman, wrote A HB on comment section explaining deduction of point, GGG was never deducted a point by the ref for an (accidental headbutt) or any other reason, so wtf?

"Robbery" in boxing means the judges decision is TOO far from reality.
In this case, as you say, the fight was pretty close. It could be to ona side or the other.
But, as Canelo went forward the entire fight, maybe that's the reason the judges gave it to Canelo.

Also, judges do know about the fighters they're watching. For someone to go at G time and again and not only avoid getting hurt, but land more power shots. Gennady fought his heart out, but Canelo game plan and execution were perfect. Also the consistency of his performance. Despite a strong strong rally by Triple G in the late middle rounds (about 3 4 10pt runs rounds (between 6-11) where he did dominate throw and land a ton, it was still not a big enough window. Canelo weathered the storm and came back to snap Gs head back late in the 11 and 12.

Instead of defending and hoping for the cards Canelo came back like a bull. He'd obviously hurt G to the body because time and again G threw and was immediately leaning forward to protect. So, keeping cool calm and focused, Canelo started stringing punches together and landing. The last minute GGG head snapped back more than a speed bag. He responded with 1 solid jab and a decent right.

golovkin is such a headstrong beast. he takes his losses as oportunities to grow. i thought he won but what is done is done, there is corruption in boxing but you could make a case for both fighters as to who won. it was a close fight and with this close fight, the judges will naturally favor canelo as he is the golden boy and younger fighter who can produce more money. so it is obvious that the judges would give the close rounds to canelo. this is just how boxing is and if canelo fans could understand that, then maybe we could come to understand one another. im not saying canelo fans are wrong to celebrate the win, as i said, u can make a case for both the boxers.

when its a very close fight, we tend to go for the person who we like more. and you can tell it was close if you can put aside who you like more and try to see it with an unbiased perspective. then u find that u could make a very solid case for both boxers. i thought that if anything this should have been a draw and the first fight gone to ggg. if u want to see who you think won, try watching the fight with the sound off so the commentators are quiet and judge for yourself. then u see it was extremely close so u wonder why there is so much hostility between fans.
