- In this video, we share an IELTS Speaking Mock Test of a candidate with a band score of 4. We have inserted the examiner's feedback and the reason why she got that band score at the end of the video.
She made a mistake at the beginning of the test. When she was asked to say her full name, she started to say some numbers, which is very wrong.
In part 2, she made another mistake and she started to read the cue card instead of answering the questions.

I mean, she barely could speak clearly.
According to me , she didn't speak properly and then has more repetition in answer.
All ielts trainer said to everyone single line answer is not good effect of the examier.
you was very easily given 4.0 band then you will be gave approximately 6 or 6.5.
I have talked to Anna. As i think she is co-worker on Ross Ielts Academy.

Even though she is not fluent she tried to keep the conversation going. She is a very confident woman. We can say anything from here but she is sitting by her examiner . Any way she has been able to make all audience laugh by repeating the cue.good luck

From my experience I would say speaking is kind of tough if u have anxiety problems or get too scared we cant blame us for that , its natural. For me I speak quite nicely but I get scared when I speak in front of someone and tend to forget everything. For those ppl who have confidence i really respect them
i also have the same experience as you .When i'm talking to myself i feel comfortable and more confident to talk but when i'm talking to others i always stuttering and forget everything that i want to say. So huge respect for the people who are confident when talking to other people, especially taking the IELTS speaking test
That's true, when we were anxiety, we usually are not showing the real ability.
That's why you should practice more😅. We should speak with examiner as you speak with your friend

Who has made fun of her? 😂, nobody has done it and to make fun of her. 'And she skipped the part when the examiner asked about "what the poor written communication skills are". Such an interesting and easy question. IF you think she has answered all of his question. Lol

Despite her pronunciation was bad, she was so confident. She did great!
She did always try her speak clearly and confidently.
This types of examiners is badly needed to make the examinee feel confident. He had a gentle smile on his face the whole time whatever the answer was which is why the examinee feels like she is at home and that helps her a lot to express herself. I attended in IELTS 4 years back where i got only 6.0 at speaking test but actually i had got myself prepared to get more band score. Unfortunately my examiner was just like a robot or something like an army interrogator which made me extremely nervous and forget what to say properly.

Nice one. Well i think he has soulmate, as you said he has attractive qualities, so a lot of people want to be with him
One of those things that I realized very soon, was the pronunciation and the fact that she pronounced the words with a different accent which was understandable but she couldn't pronounce them with the real accent as the way they are pronounced correctly by a native. And the other problem I realized which she was struggling with was the lack of vocabularies which she needs to improve it so that she can use them with phrases, and.. That would be a great score, learning the structures and how the words are used in sentences. And also it's important to understand the interesting questions which the examiner mentioned "communication skills" topic, that topic sounds good to me, and a good answer would be really awesome to complete the topic.
Her initial confidence was not bad but she didn’t delivery in proper way only for the lack of vocabularies.
Definitely she will turn 180° & make a example in IELTS speaking.

@@flowers24210 Yes, I did my IELTS about a month ago. My overall band score was 7.5, for the speaking component I got a band score of 7.5 as well.

It was stressful at first because I was very anxious (and so was everyone else taking the exam) but after the listening and reading part I felt confident since I had practiced before and the exam is exactly like all the practice tests online. @@user-mg7ug9sh3c
The most important for me when Taking IELTS speaking exams was to enjoy and express yourself. Do not pressure yourself and try to be calm as much as possible. Besides, treat it just like a normal conversation with a neighbor or friends. Since, some of the questions are common and sometimes we also put it in a conversation or we used to talk it rather. Like for example, What do you do for your free time ? Do you have a big family ?. It is just normal questions❤️. It would be better if we have a peace of mind during the exam and I do believe things will follow. Everything would not lead to futility.

This is quite difficult to do, which you are saying "Be Normal". Not as easy as you said, if you need desired bands.

When we listen to some one speaking fluently and just beautifully, we understand him/her well, but when it comes to us to speak, we can't make a speech like them. That's a psychology. And sometimes lack of vocab in our native language

The exaniner is so good and helpfull, but some examiner even don't have a bit of smile to encourage you for speaking and make it easy for you and a sence of confidence
I like his voice, warmly and clearly.
Just to be fair, she did her best but to pass this exam, I think she needs to learn basic English and Comprehension and then if she's already confident then she can retake the exam.

The examiner has a lot of questions to give her the opportunity to speak of different open topics, even if you can take all the time of the part answering just one of it.

It seemed to me that it is a majestic speaking. Perhaps, She spoke deliberate with this way. she is striving to speak idiom but it was not a peace of cake but she deserves 6 bands because she has reserves of vocabulary words which leads to treasure of education . Appriciate.
