True. It's not an IQ Test. It's a communication tool. And all language communication tools require familiarity, coaching, effort and time for proficiency . All these highly intelligent Japanese, Russian, Iranian scientists and so on who don't speak great English can back that up.
I really like IELTS teachers. They re always very gentle and supportive so candidates can relax and feel themselves calmy and confidence. As a person who gets nervious with the conversations even in my native language (which is russian), I find this very important.

He is Iranian, and his language is Farsi. From the examiner accent I am pretty much sure she is Iranian as well. Nevertheless, your point is very valid. It’s not hard to improve from 3.5 to 5.5. In two or three months it is very doable. But higher score needs more practice.

The important thing when taking the speaking test is that you don't need a quality vocabulary but you have to be confident that you will. Wish you will be confident and pass the IELTS exam!
Hats off to him for sitting for the speaking exam in the first place. I believe that the best way to improve your English is to immerse yourself in it and surround yourself with it. Activities such as thinking and speaking to oneself in the language can tremendously benefit them and make them more confident and comfortable with the language. Recording yourself speaking and watching the things that you love, but in English are great ways!

I started learning English on UA-cam a year ago and got 5.5 speaking and 6 in total in my test on May 29. At one point we were all like him and sometimes you just need to practice and hopefully like me you will reach your dream score. Sorry for the mistakes
Totally agree, I remember in 2016 when I moved to U.K. my English was also same level as this candidate. I feel a lot more confident at the moment and have definitely improved myself. The hard work pays off. I am planing taking an additional IELTS test and hopefully will be able to continue my studying further at the Uni.

To be honest, few minutes into this video and I was already compelled to move over to a different example from this series. However, I actually felt a bit warm reading the comments here and ended up watching a major chunk of this video - and this guy really had the guts to give it a go! The examiner is really patient and sweet too. Came here to learn more tips in English, took away a really motivating example of those people who dont give up. Hope he achieved success and his ambitions! He is so brave for this while I'm scared to even take the test for now. And as everyone said, this is just IELTS not life, and this is just a language, not the measure of intelligence.

It’s important to show video like this, we are all want to see people who speak perfect, but we seldom see how it is difficult in the beginning, how you begin to understand little by little.
