It's kind of like how some finds an attraction towards researching and studying certain things while others might find a sexual attraction towards it.
I'd say this is just "cute" as the art style is simple but clear, the cartoony proportions of the limbs and shapes of the body and faces has a charm and style that is one of my personal favorites to exercise when drawing. Especially since it's much easier to animate and add details to the style with shading and such.
It comes down to personal preference.
But if you ever want to just try or be able to pick up animating like a pro as easily as picking up a bag of chips then simply download Krita. You can easily download a portable Windows, Linux or Mac version. Portable means you just extract the folder and start the software instantly.
Here's my personal favorite perfect tutorial for getting started with the bare bone basics but enough to make some real art and animations like a pro:

Simple basics in no time and I made my own test animations in less than 5 minutes then some fine tuning. It's really fun stuff on the side when not programming or 3d modeling

WolfDY understandable, when I debate with people I try to see things from their perspective but if it nothing more than baseless hate with no facts or reasons to back them up then I ignore them. We all have to deal with stubborn people from time to time. For example people who say that changed is a furry game therefore its bad. So what, it is a game that features anthropomorphic creatures doesn't make it a bad game. Look at sonic, crash bandicoot, ratchet and clank, skyrim, okami, spyro the dragon, etc. Are they going say all those games suck because they dont always have a human protagonists. They just see one thing they don't like and write the whole thing off, that why part of my code of honour that I cannot say something is bad unless I give it a FAIR SHOT without bias. If you go into to something with negative expectations then all you are going to get out of it. Despite all that debating with people can be fun even if it is something you don't agree on. For instance some have said if they had a gun or weapon in changed they would destroy the latex goo monsters. As much as part of me does agree with wanting to be able to fight back I think it would ruin the flow of the game plus they are harder to destroy than they think. Could you imagine playing outlast with a minigun, you wouldn't be scared of something that you are more then a match for. But that did get me thinking about what could defeat them and what weapons I would use if I had to fight them (gloo cannon from prey 2017 For the win). I love stuff like that, when a simple question turns into a fun conversation.

Reese Whittington not really in this case. A hunter is only good if they have the right weapons for the job. You are fighting creatures made of latex and they would be hard to kill even with weapons. Shooting, stabbing, or blunt force trauma are almost useless on them because they have no internal organs. The only to really stop them is to destroy their masks ( black latex monsters only ) freezing, burning, acids, and crushing to an extent. Not many weapons would be helpful in this case so think that anyone could just go in with a just a gun and be fine would find out too late they are not the hunter. They are the hunted.
