I have one of these in Mongolia did some research on it it’s engine is also Mercedes not ssangyong 2.0 2.2 are both Mercedes’ engine. Cannot fault the car it is a work horse ours over here can carry 11 people in comfort. Engine does not struggle at all to say it’s 2.0 diesel. Off road it does not bother it one bit but I had it lifted with spacers totally different machine now. Steep gradients poor surfaces no problem at all put in low ratio and surprises how easy it will climb. Very strong car for the money.
I have recently bought the 2.0 S Turismo manual gearbox. I can honestly say what a fantastic big car with van capability. This is my second Ssangyong. don't worry about the brand they are great reliable cars on at the moment a small budget.
Hi Robert, I saw this at a recent car show and to be honest, I was impressed by its looks ( though it can be subjective); an MVP with a SUV presence, that's what I am looking for. The only reservation I have is the brand. You had mentioned that you owned a Ssangyong before - may I know it's reliability? Can it last more than 10 years? As you know the risk of owning such a 'not so popular' brand is that once it leaves the show room, its resale value drops significantly. Appreciate your advice. Thanks
Hi Amelie, We have several cars 10+ years old that come in for service and repairs and we generally don't see anything more going wrong with them other than the usual stuff you would expect with a 10 year old car of any brand.
I agree. Ssangyong are awesome cars. They are made to last. Nothing fancy but they are build to take massive beatings. Even the interior materials are bullet proof like. Super tough and sturdy
+Jason Mcpherson Great to hear Jason! The new 2.2 with the 7 speed box drives beautifully (and we actually have some of these 2016 spec cars in stock at the moment)
+Bescol Motors Unfortunately, I have to wait until the model comes onto the motability scheme so have to wait until January to order but I am really looking forward to it. The improved engine and gearbox will just be the icing on the cake for me! Just need to find out what the new advance payment will be.
Hi to all the car guys and girls I have a ssangyong rodius turismo and it has had a accident with the passenger side front end and I can't seem to find the rodius parts it's a 2015 model and whenever I search for parts it just comes with ssangyong korando turismo are they the same?? Please help me I need a new dashboard and front belts and bonnet and left wing and left headlight and a grill I really need assistance please thanks and its a abs grey colour
+Stuart Hitchcock Hi Stuart, We do indeed have the 2.2 reviews and they are embedded into our website, see: www.bescolmotors.co.uk/new/ssangyong/turismo and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Legion426 I know! I had issues with the source video disks sent to us. He just basically sums up the main points. If your interested though I would recommend taking a test drive because for a big vehicle they are great to drive. You can find your local dealer at www.ssangyonggb.co.uk/dealers
Ahh...Motability, the golden opportunity to buy the type of cars that those tax payers who have to pay for them can't themselves afford even though our automotive transportational requirements are no less and no more than those of motability drivers. I've had to run my same 10 year old banger for ten years, No 3 yearly replacement for me...nope just bigger bills as the car gets older, I can't do without it either or I'd lose my job that pays my taxes that goes towards several of my neighbours £20,000 car and insurance every three years. I'm not criticisng the genuinely needy but I am criticising the need to buy large expensive cars that are beyond the need of most owners, a fiat panda will get most to the shops or their aunty marys just as easily as a giant ssanyong Turismo will.

A seriously practical family car, I might have to look at test driving later this year.

“5 adults and 2 midgets”😂😂 quality
Great informative video, just a shame it was badly edited as it would appear to cut off before the presenter has finished
