Nick Offerman ( an actor, by the way 😊) and one of the producers of “Parks and Recreation “ were big fans of Lagavulin, and they decided to bring that into their show. Lagavulin, on their part, I think invited them to the distillery (I’m not sure if that was on the show) , and then they decided to release this 11 year old with Offerman’s name on it, as a special yearly event. So far they released 4 bottles: I’m not sure if the first one had any finishing cask, but the second one was finished in Guinness casks, the third one in charred oak casks, and the fourth one, the one you have, in rum casks. We never know if there’s going to be a new one the following year, but personally I have my fingers crossed for a cognac finish for a fifth release. 😊
Nick Offerman loved Lagavulin 16 so much, he was able to work it into the show by means of his character loving it too. They were in London for some reason during an episode and as a wedding gift, his boss sent him to a mystery location which turned out to be the Lagavulin distillery. You can also find 45 min long video of Nick Offerman sitting in front of a fireplace, just drinking Lagavulin. (Look it up - it's funny!). This was all before he co-lab'ed with them.
love you guys

Port finish
@@germantarapow9112 I could live with a port finish.
That charred oak cask is amazing, the only thing I can find close is Port Charlotte 10.

Been waiting for this! 🥂
I believe it is the 4th Offerman/Lagavulin collaboration. I have the second (Guinness cask) and third (charred cask).
Jeez boys, five minutes of research before hitting record could save you a lot of maybes, I dont remember, and I dont knows…
