@@bondbrookebond Hello back. Thank you for the interesting historical notes. (I did start to wonder what was going on.) I think that you may want to edit the notes in the description, to change slightly where the parenthesis is, so as to include the words "on this record" (because unfortunately with where you have put it, it looks somewhat as if Ruby Murray and Brendan O'Dowda were *actually* on this record (instead of only rumored to be). I did find (a version of) the Ruby Murray record on UA-cam last night, but it did not seem to say there who the male voice was. Still do not know what Patrick O'Hagan supposedly had to do with any of this, since he seems to have primarily sung Irish traditional songs, which this isn't. Also not sure why the Ruby Murray and Brendan O'Dowda recording was released on the very same day as the movie's release, while the one with the actual movie actors was apparently not. 🤷♀️ (Questions for Disney here. I'm assuming you don't know either.) According to Wikipedia the movie's release date was June 26 in the U.S. and June 24 in Ireland. (Again not sure why but I think that was very nice of them since it is an Irish story and based on tales by an Irish author.) (June 24 also just happens to be Midsummer Day/St. John the Baptist's Day and therefore traditionally one of the most magical days of the year. I somewhat suppose that Disney was probably totally unaware of this but it's an interesting day for that particular movie's release anyway.) Anyway thank you again for the interesting information. ^___^
RIP Sean Connery
good singer
I never did get to see/hear the record.
Until now.
Thank you for posting.
Happy birthday Sean Connery! 🏴
Yes Happy Birthday old chap.
miss classic disney
Never heard Sean Connery sing before. He doesn't do a bad job! Wasn't Janet Munro in Swiss Family Robinson?
Yes I believe she was. And Sean sang in the Bond movie Dr No, "Underneath The Mango Tree"
@@bondbrookebond Yes, I remember that now! With Ursula Andress.
A little bit different from the movie.
Especially the bits of "The Irish Washerwoman".
Thank you for posting.
"You're my dear, my darling one" is also not part of the movie.
I didn't know before that they had made/done a separate recording.
Hello Kitty, I have updated the info at top in description, something I meant to do a long time ago. Thanks for your comments.
