The thing many people don't realize about the ork vs imperium relationship (especially space Marines) is that the Orks LOVE the imperium cause they're one of the few factions that don't run from a fight.
Well not the orks from the beast arises lol

Imagine an entire Kriegsman regiment purely made up of Psychers, or as the Kriegers would probably put it "Psychic Artillery"

It's dangerous due to the fact that they risk becoming closer to the warp and attracting the daemons within
Although their culture definitely protects some more than most they're one of the few planets that are trusted to make mixed units so they can actually perform combined arms warfare

At least might be lower alpha at the very lower end but yeah usually they would be seen as too dangerous especially if it manifests while they're really young though.
A Krieg Psyker would be quite the battlefield enhancement.

I would personally love to hear another Crixus tale. Field Test was a good story but Walking Dogs was a solid banger
A death Corp of Krieg psyker seems almost too terrifying to countenance. They'd have Mastery over hallucinate of powers making any enemy they wish think that they were stuck within the worst possible concept of a losing battle. At least that's my assumption of what their powers would be given their regiment and history. Unless you went up against a really really confident warboss or the tyranids or necrons because both of those don't really give a rip about psychological issues considering their troops do not even have the brain capacity to think. ( Orcs this is a bit of a stretch cuz some of them are capable of thinking) but aside from those two particular factions I think they be super effective against everything else. What the enemy tries to charge you before they even reach the psyker just the hits them with a wave of psychological torment and fear that the whole point and purpose of battle itself is useless and all they're doing is dedicating themselves to a pointless death. Such a concept seems almost right up the alley for a psychic who comes from the planet of Krieg
Another one knocked out of the park. I'd expected a simpler tale of trenches, artillery and shovels but this was so much better.
I'm glad you enjoyed the direction it took! I'm sure a lot of people were just expecting a pure krieg piece but I agree on this being a whole lot more interesting idea

Krieg Psyker trading deadly devotion to be a better weapon for his planet and people, the weight from that must've hit harder than even his own power. Good lord, they made a good choice

Kid was essentially firing Deathstrike missiles with his mind. (I caught the meme reference). And all Kriegsmen are clones iirc. So the ability to grow Deathstrike missile batteries, with none of the logistical hurdles of the machine, with the added bonus of the unshakable loyalty of Krieg...by the Emperor...
They're not clones per say although very similar each of them is genetically unique but can pretty much be made in the same industrial manner as clones
All it would take is one to fall to chaos....
This was so well done. The thought of Krieg Born Omega Level Psyker, now that IS a scary story...
Can literally puppet an entire planet and turn them into kriegs men.
A regiment, or even a Death Korps army would be nothing, compared to a single, powerful Krieg LIVING SAINT.

Incredible as always vox! Few things are as terrifying as a regular Kriegsman, and up until now i had never considered the possibility of a PSYKER Kriegsman. I guess you learn something new everyday!
Neal knows how to write characters that you just want to delve into more lore and literature about. Did you listen to waking dogs? That was by Neal and the world eater in that is another fantastically interesting character

I think its related to the fact krieg originally rebelled, so now all the people of krieg feel they are unworthy because the betrayal of their forefathers.
I just assumed she was referencing the rebellion on Krieg for which all Kriegers seek to redeem

They all shared it. He did something all right and it must have been pretty bad and I the obvious thing that could have went sideways is throwing a little Warp around.🤷♂️

Ironicaly, the eldar use to field armies of phycers as described here during the war in Heven. It's what they were designed to do, and why they seem to have such deep emotions and conection to the warp.
Krieger just used his psyker powers to turn the everyday imaginary artillery bombardment of his backyard into reality

Fantastic work and a fascinating story. The inquisitor is definitely playing with fire on this 1. The last time an army of human psykers roamed a planet battlefield Malcador witnessed the destruction and chaotic power rort on the planet, just before the council of Nikaea was held.

The burden on a normal psyker is enough but having that emotional turmoil forced upon them from birth before even being recognised as a psyker would be straining the limits even beyond training. It makes sense that the poor boy is so unstable. I wonder if the inquisitor considers the durability of her tool and not just it's effectiveness

I always wondered why we never see recruits from Krieg into the Space Marines, either. Seems like they would make a pretty badass chapter.
