Well, everyone knows, you put a Sappy sticker on you saw and it increaes the value a good 4-5 hundo, no questions asked!
That helmet reminds me of a Lego man.🤣
It was ordered because of that.
He's had that since the Eastside videos.
It doesn’t require a chin strap because there’s a big round dot on top of his head that it sticks to.
He looks like marshmallow the wrapper/producer!
OG logging hard hat so you can hammer out the dents when branches fall on your head
Kevin!! Good to see you two back in a video Jacob. Stay safe out there :)
Seeing those massive trunks bounce around like match sticks when the top hits the ground is something else. Wouldn't want to get smacked by one of those. Glad you guys are playing it safe. Cool video. Cheers.
5 meter chunk of 6 footer is accrding tp basic math around 10 tons (depending on density) so that's a lot of weight bouncing around.
it will never stop amazing me how much a tree can bounce and move around once cut. love your content. top em and drop em!
dont forget about the diameter marks on the loggers tape crucial for measuring standing trees w out calculating
The look you gave him with the "wedges from Madsen's" LOL. "Dude."
great work as usual! that big leaning one was pretty crazy. jack came in really handy.
I knew that 88 was gonna come in handy Jacob!!❤
12:45 perfect swing lol just bustin your chops 😂😂😂
Great Work Jacob!! That’s some serious ‘Buckin’ Billy Ray’ falling style going on right there.
I loved it, I learned that tree jacking trick on a huge cottonwood only problem was it was a 20 ton jack and blew out the seal, finally got it with three smaller jacks a friend taught me that and more wish he was still around he was a great guy,be safe out there.
Another Great Video Jacob. Nice Work Love it when The Big Trees 🌳 get cut . Hopefully all that nice wood 🪵 doesn't go to waste.
Was hoping to see if the cutting improved the landowners view.
I was in Oregon in the mid seventies and spent the day in the woods with a logger. He was a feller, he went in to work in the early morning and the buckers didn't come in to work for another couple of hours. He had a 9 horsepower McCulloch with a 55" bar on it. He carried 2 bottles one wit bar oil and one with saw mix with him, a chain file and an ax and a couple of wedges, that was all. He only cut about 3 trees for a day's work. but he had to cut the bark off before he would start his cut for 2 reasons one the bark often had dirt in it and the other was he needed to remove it so he could reach the center of the tree. He was very careful about where he directed the tree so that it wouldn't break when it hit the ground . He was also very careful not to hit another tree that was down so he didn't break up any wood. I learned a lot that day.
We bought that same jack last year. It's worked great for the couple of trees we've needed it for. Also worked great lifting up a stuck bus😂
Borntrager was easy to work with.
Awesome to see Kevin back on the channel!
I hope your logging those outta there. Those are some hammer second growth.
Good job Jacob. Steady and smooth.
so interesting to see you using the jack ,
dude you're such a likable human being
Awesome videos and content! I accidently found you watching other videos, immediately subscribed and have been watching your videos. My heart goes out to you about Jed, I just recently lost a really close friend that I met through work, it really shook my heart and mind so my thoughts and prayers go out to you and everyone that knows him. I'm not a tree guy or logger but do help maintain my brother's property, others and do firewood. My wife got me a MS362C for Christmas to replace my old worn out 455 Rancher and my buddy told me you need to get a bark box, so I looked into it, ordered it and it showed up 3 days later. Awesome to see that Gordy is the man of West Coast Saw and see him in your videos. Keep up the awesome work! Would really like to see a very in-depth review on the Milwaukee battery saws as I have a ton of Milwaukee tools and batteries and looking at their saws for a liming saw rather than a small gas saw. God Bless Jake.....Oh and you have have a awesome last name ;) .......Josh Rogers
Nice job and great to see Kevin again!
Great video. Good work ! Excellent to watch Kevin and Jake !! ❤❤
That 880 makes my 462 look small hehe good stuff
Great job guys, you never disappoint...
What a rush, love it!
I feel like a proud dad watching you now being the teacher, you dressed as you are look like Jed. You have gone and grownup on all of us. 😢😂
14:40 the way those cuts lined up was so satisfying 👌🏼
The whispers made me laugh out loud 😂 excellent stuff per usual jake!
Nice work! It’s definitely tough to make a clean not on the larger DBH trees like that especially with the nasty root flare
Love it Jake!!! Keep up the great work and please stay safe. Mark from AZ
GRAND Finale!!!!!!! AMAZING😁👍👍
I love your vids and I've cleared trees just for a view on a mountain side as well. I felt,, what a waste of good timber too.
Love watching ur vids only found ur channel a few days ago now ur getting me into tree cutting lol
Welcome to an amazing channel. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have
Great work
Big trees.
Great job Jake, I just got the axe handle in the mail. I can't wait to hang it. Stay safe my friend.
great job & video, Jake. good luck to Hyram, nice one Kevin
The three of you did an amazing job on those huge trees. Thank you for sharing!😊
Great video!❤❤❤
Great job with the big trees 🌳 👍. Good information on how 🤔 it is done ✔. I learned a lot from your videos 📹. The best of luck with his new business. Bless you 🙏 ♥ 🙌.
Love it!!!!
We wanted to see the improvement in the view! Great video!
Gettin er done!! I thought of Jedd while watching this. Thanks for sharing Jacob! Stay safe, look up and keep rocking!
Nice job Jake!
Good job man
Very aswome job guys
Great video really enjoyed the video
Congrats Jake you hit the big league, you have a Kevin to carefully fill your bar oil for you! Great vid showing the falling skills you've acquired 💪
Good to see Kevin again.
have you ever considered doing a showcase of all your exuipment you use, like all your saws etc
The 880, a motorcycle engine that just happens to have a chainsaw bar attached to it.
Nice jobs fellas
Sappy Supplies sticker on a Chinese saw - "Be careful, that's a load bearing sticker."
i like the smiley face shield😃👍
"ASMR timber felling with Trrreeeessssoooonnnnn"
That is badass.
Solid trees
I have learned to never trust a guy with a blue saw. Nice of you to tell him it was the chains' fault, and not the fact that he just couldn't match his cuts. If I had clients asking me to cut trees like that in order for them to have a better view, I'd tell them to get f'd. I love cutting trees. Ones that actually need cut.
Dude it's good to see Kevin! Lol
Wow impressive
Sappy Supply Go-Fast Sticker 😂
Please do a video of how you retrieve this tree.
Kevin is amazing with a camera!
Those blue thunders has a problem with their chain break going too far forward that it gets stuck. Need to unscrew the left side and lift it to put it back.
I’m by no means a tree hugger but that was some nice cedar. Know how it goes tho
Gonna love the 880 great vid them were some pigs 👊
Sick vid! Amy advise for people starling out?
There's them hinges talking again..
Awesome
Wish we got to see what the view looks like now!
Careful of those critical area ordinances, removals on slopes, and leaving the brush. Might come back to bite ya some time.
Nice job young feller😉🤣😂
nice video !
You guys ever run into squatch out there?…..or predator? That is some thick bush you’re in. Awesome!
Great video Jake - u need to work in my state some time - timber is a big business here in Arkansas
such skills to drop the huge trees where you want! with out any one getting hurt, but the blue chain saw!
are they going to use the trees for anything?
Fastest I've ever commented. Nice work Jacob
As big as that bar is, it's STILL not big enough. That is some huge wood
i want the smiley face helmet
XD
Awesome stuff! However is it not good practice to put the wedge in the croch rather than the most outward part of the tree? Or is there a risk of it splitting out at all?
Think ol bluey is blunt lol 😂
Young Guns! T-shirts available at Madsens. 😂
I missed Kevin and his smiley faceshield
Hi jake what are those spike metal bit near the begin of the blade
“Or go to Madsens, like Kevin does” lol
Hope it was a no clean up job 😂
Good job!
Would love to see more 500i content
What size axe you carry? I almost bought me a chainsaw chainsaw but just couldn't so I bought a cs271t.
Is Kevin the one who never had a mango?
Haha yeah
Will those trees be harvested?
Was that west coast saw dogs on the blue thunder....should raise the value at the pawn shop were I would probably by it
I remember him he used to be one of the groundsman for eastside treeworks everybody knows that famous hard hat is he a contractor Faller now as well?
holy smokes 5ft and 6ft dam those were monster's but nicely done Jacob. Because ill be the first to admit i wouldn't have attempted them and im not a green cutter meaning new cutter but those aren't for the faint of heart or any green cutters to attempt thats forsure 1 wrong move its game over those take skill and experience to cut but id love to wedge one that size over for sure.
My brother has a 661 and it’s a boat anchor with a 36” bar. Can’t imagine how heavy the 880 is, do you have your cdl because I’m pretty sure it qualifies as heavy equipment
Hi Jacob - What size bar did you run on your 661 for this video? 36” or 32” ?
The neo tec saws are better than the holzforrma saws. You should review one. I have the ns872 and it eats. Straight outta the box. 25” bar I had in a 22” tree and was pulling hard. Couldn’t really bog it. It’s a ms380 clone. The ns872i is the upgraded version. You should try it. Show me what I’m missing 😂
I’m a tree cutter but something about killing these big cedars hurts lol.
I've missed happy face Kevin!
Where are those handles available at again my man 🤔
Good money from those trees
how do you not bend the saws bar when you carry it like that to the trees
