Ok, I'm a Filipino and I admit that Bangkok is far and way better than Manila and Bangkok's temples make them unique in the eyes of foreigners while manila have old churches but this is just infrastructures and it is not impossible to my country to have this too, modernization is not a big deal. There’s a huge language barrier. Even though Filipinos speak English, their listening comprehension is horrible. I’ve managed hundreds of Filipinos and many just don’t understand the main point or comprehend what was said in English. Immediately switch to Tagalog and then they understand the point more.

In terms of Modern Infrastructures I think Bangkok itself is way Better than Manila but Philippines which is my nation Still UNIQUE and most specifically MANILA Why? Because the OLDEST UNIVERSITY IN ASIA WILL BE FOUND IN MANILA Which is University of Santo Tomas or UST. One of the TOP 1001 BUILDINGS YOU MUST SEE BEFORE YOU DIE Will be found in Manila which is De La Salle University Main Building. Manila has a Unique Transportation in the World which is called JEEPNEYS. The OLDEST CHINATOWN in the World is in Manila, AND PEOPLE THERE Are MAJORITY ENGLISH SPEAKER and so many REASONS

I’ve been to Bangkok and I can say it’s almost similar with Manila. There are places that are clean and progressive and some areas are dirty and have slums 🤣 both cities have a long way to go
