Hi, thanks for the tips and guide on how to use the deck. In fact, I have recently took the deck to a few LCs here on my city and here are some opinions and changes I made: - First LC there were too many Gardes with Mimikyu and Snorlax. I was able to win almost all of them but they were not easy to beat (Hawlucha helped a lot on this matches) - Second LC, the deck was very favorable into different MUs, but the deck feels very slow in the final turns, specially if the opponent's disrupts your hand and Mew is not around. Based on what happened, I changed some things to have better consistency: - 1 Aroma for 1 Nest Ball: gives you opportunity to find you anything and if you fail it, whatever thing you bring will be useful for the ultraball or play - 1 Cologne for 1 Ogerpon: 3 Ogerpons is okay and they are very easy to find. Cologne helps with Mimikyu, Flutter Mane or IronThorns - Personal change: 1 Penny for 1 Grass Energy: Hawlucha is very usefull against set up decks, so why not use it two times?
Thank you so much mate! The insights of Chien-Pao and Raging Bolt were really helpful. I just won a League Challenge with a very similar deck list: Radiant Charizard > 1 Grass Energy = optimal price trades and Chien-Pao and Raging Bolt matches. Thornton > Super Rod = I'm getting back the pokemon I want, potential Ogerpon into Regidrago Star, free active switch with mew and Radiant Charizard. Jamming Tower > Pokéstop = Sneaky 1 price Gardevoir kills, Anti amulet in Raging Bolt and stop Seal Stone / TM Evo turn 1 plays.
@@Mightybean2014 Exactly. Lost Zone, any decks with low HP evolving basics like Gardy, Chienpao, Zard, Pult, etc., and single prizer decks like Ancient box HATE Kyurem. Because if they're caught slacking, half their board is over in one attack. Plus, for stuff just out of range, there's Dragapult's spread. And if your opponent tried to hide a weakened EX on the bench? Oops, gone. It's an AMAZING finisher, and all those decks losing advantage just from their opponent adding those two cards is nuts. Regidrago's consistency is hit or miss at times so it's not too OP, but it's a huge buff. Also, chances are you're probably able to set up another Drago at least partially by the time you use the attack but don't win for some reason, so while you have a turn where you DESPERATELY need some cards, the payoff's still good relative to the downside.
I have a few Bannette/Salvatore enjoyers at my locals so I am dropping 1 grass for a Poppy as a tech at the challenge tonight. I also dropped 1 research for a Serena because I like the flexibility and ability to save some key items from the hand
Thanks for this. I def think noivern is a trap and trying to commit to it is often just a lose condition. Had been playing raging bolt and penny but tried out hawlucha and tina vstar a few games after watching this and i am totally convinced on those two cards, absolutely great inclusions, and being able to do 280 and only get rid of 2 energies feels so much better than bolt
I want to give this list a try, but the Noivern/Penny combo is just so strong against Raging Bolt. Setting up the Drago with Noivern's attack, then Penny'ing your two prizers off the bench just gives them zero options to win and it's amazing. I love the Hawlucha though, especially with the addition of Penny to use it again. I've been running RadZam, but Hawlucha is just quicker.
Thanks for the vid! But missing the sauce lol (thorton, raging bolt ex, giratina v, and radiant charizard. Thorton a ogerpon into zard and attach a fire energy for a sneaky last turn.)
Tina v hurts consistency a lot and only solves the stall matchups but not always. Not worth it imo. zard does the same but can change your entire prize mapping and win you a lot of different games so much convincing of an inclusion. Less consistent but better comeback potential
I gave this list a shot yesterday at my locals, the Hawlucha did wonders against the Comfeys & Ogerpons and I definitely felt the value of Tina rather than Raging Bolt. Solid list Gabriel and thanks for the knowledge as always!
Do you think Squawkabilly is too large of a liability? I was building around the same idea you mentioned - "consistency is king", and felt that Squawk inclusion would fit that theme. Doesn't seem a bad starter either, thoughts?
Its really only bad to bench against Gardy, other than that its usually nice for them to knock out something other than your main attacker. They will usually be taking 2 prizes no matter what anyways so assuming you are going for them to hit a 2-2-2 prize trade it will not make a difference, you will also have mew down which has only 20 more HP.
Haxorus from NightWanderer prolly is just to high roll i assume as another addition? with 230 dmg output and mill 3 i can c it working, should help getting more cards into gy rotation as att option for regidrago and also oneshots Ogerpon + in comnbination with hawlucha´s ability u get to knockout raging bolt quiet ´´simple´´ aswell which also has the upside of not being able to start as acitve Pokemon, compared to a radiant Charizard/Bloodmoon Ursaluna which could do some clean up in the lategame aswell but can end up being dead early on/clocking ur board. new to the TCG so i´d appreciate any feedback to learn from
@@mudtke could be a decent card to include, the problem is I’m not sure if it’s worth the space. Lugia plays mist to block its first attack which can be rough at times. It could be ok though. Not 100% sure yet
I like radiant zard in this deck also. But the hawk is a good idea 👌🏼I don’t like using Tina because I find it hard to load up energy. I use Noivern because its covert flight is great against chien Pao and raging bolt. Only 70 damage but they won’t be able to hit you at all.
its just kinda hard to setup a lock and most the decks its supposed to fix are running stuff that shreds rn or a ton of gust, the setup turns usually require putting other guys on the bench. Its feasible just a bit hard to pull off to where most people have just decided to cut it in favor of more consistency attacking.

@@mapi1780 Thank you! I considered scoop up but having prime catcher is really important when the decks goal is to often gust on the second turn. I could see maybe penny
