Hi Ksenia. Salina Cruz is definitely not the best option to see the Pacific. This place is not touristy. It is a loading place and not at all pretty. But, you can go to Huatulco, which is a beautiful place that is 165 km away. from Salina Cruz or go to Puerto Escondido, which you will love. There are many foreigners living in this place. Huatulco is expensive, but Puerto Escondido is not....good Lucky.
Hey! I was not in Salina Cruz itself, but close to it - the place is called Punta Conejo. Being not touristy is exactly what I loved about it! So beautiful and tranquil, amazing beaches and a surfers' paradise. Puerto Escondido was on my map, but I had to cut it short because of the cold I got in the middle of the trip - will definitely visit next time.

You are a brave girl and i admire your travels but need to give you a advice. If you want that BMW of yours to last long time keep the rpm in range of 3500-4500rpm, that engine is going to fail the way you drive it constantly keeping at 2000rpm and causing poor oiling. Sorry for being rude but it is honest advice. Stay vigilant
