- Lorna Slater blames UK government for workers at Circularity Scotland (CSL) losing their jobs.
Ms Slater was asked by Sarah Boyackwhen the Scottish government and its agencies were informed of Circularity Scotland's financial position, including the company's reported need to send staff home.
The Scottish Government blamed Westminster for the latest delay to the DRS, after the UK Government decided glass should be excluded from the scheme so it is the same across Britain.

Seriously “We warned the U.K. government”, the truth is that the U.K. government told them that they had yet again overstepped the devolved governments authority and this scheme had to fit in with the U.K. as a whole so the same regulations were the same around the U.K.. They are using this stupid failure to try and justify independence, which is pretty pathetic response for their incompetence.
These people are an excuse for politicians.

Uk govt have "inflicted" nothing on this hapless woman's scheme. She didn't work as a devolved administration should work, and ignored the UK govt's various requests necessary to approve this catastrophic scheme. The Scottish DRS was NOT included in the "Competence" according to the Scottish Government in 2022 BUT that they were "confident" that it would be approved. The Scottish Government had NOT APPLIED for any exemption, NEEDED by LAW, until a few weeks ago. The Scottish Government pushed through a programme that Industry DID NOT WANT and that the ONLY people to gain were "Circularity Scotland" and "BIFFA". That is the responsibility of Lorna Slater, the Greens , SNP and the Scottish Government. Therefore ALL costs, claims and redundancies are the responsibility of the Minister, Lorna Slater and the previous and Current First Ministers. Useless & Crook.

Please support the CRS, Canadian Return Scheme, so that we can send Lorna Turner back to Canada where we will get approximately 12p back for her return. The deposit is irrelevant it is the SAVINGS of having her removed that is worth £Millions.

Why couldn't Holyrood have waited for the UK scheme?
Could it be that as with covid restrictions they had to be seen to be doing something different to Westminster. This, so as to cause division and thus further the separatist cause.

I must be getting something wrong here - reading between the lines Westminster had a date by which they had to give Holyrood a decision on the DRS - Holyrood decided to press on regardless - Westminster then decided that Holyrood could not proceed as they had planned - if this is right then the fault for the mess clearly sits with Holyrood and to suggest otherwise is totally ridiculous - the SNP has been reckless and trying to blame others for the actions they have taken without having the powers to take those actions sums up why nobody should trust them - this will happen again and again if Holyrood remains committed to continually acting outside the range of their devolved powers - all the SNP is actually achieving is to make it more likely that Westminster will exercise more control in the future rather than less and their arrogance backfires on them all the time and for obvious reasons - personally I think it’s time to give rUK a vote on whether we want Scotland to stay in the UK because I don’t know anybody down here who thinks we are “better together” any more
