Hi from Southwest Australia thanks for showing us about some historic native areas and cave paintings great to explore im in my 60s and remember my dad took our family of 7 bush walking and trailblazing camping on school holidays fun to see things first hand
Your back, big Cottonwood canyon is beautiful, if you had gone north about 15 minute to Millcreek canyon and gone to the top in the van you might have seen a moose. My sister and i saw a mommy and twin girls. Its nice to wander around with out big crowds. You can brimg your pups up Millcreek canyon on odd days and they can roam free. The use to not let people up by drawing because bad people would spray paint the. 😢
What fun watching you take the boys on some adventures. They could keep a journal of their adventures and tell their classmates about what they learned about the areas/state where you go. I’m 🇨🇦 and my kids did that on the way to Florida. Did you know vadalia onions are only grown in Georgia? Or there are some amazing caves that you can tour in Bowling Green Kentucky the Mammouth caves.Ruby Fall Chattanooga… If you want to try a really good hot dog try it with cheddar cheese, bacon and the wieners with green relish and mustard, ketchup and onions optional. Used to be sold at A&W a burger place I used to go when I was a kid. 66 now that’s how long we’ve been eating these. Another good easy one for pizza is Naan bread, pizza sauce, mozzarella & provolone cheese. We pre cook red pepper, mushrooms etc. put under broiler… in your case travelling use the frying pan, harden the one side by cooking it, then flip and put toppings cover with tin foil or lid till cheese melts. (Pull coals to the side and put pan over them a few inches higher. We used to always take a grill with us to cook on. Best wishes on your trip.

That one road reminds me of roads up in West Virginia. Up on one side and drops on the other. I hated those roads.
You generally don't find moose in the middle of the day. Usually dusk is the best time to find them.
