I worked for Charlie LePage in the summer of 1975 at the Limerick School. Your Dad helped me build some wood shelves for our garage at his workshop.I joined the USAF in 1976, sadly only returning in '78 and '79 for funerals. The pictures brought back some nice memories. Charlie was the salt of the earth, you couldn't find a better boss.
I love your Limerick excursions!! Shows the small village life. I remember saving my pennies and after school I walked uptown to the 5 and dime? Bought a Gene Autry cap gun, lady gave me a box of caps. Walked all the way home to your house, my mom said where were you? I told her I had to go buy a gun! She just laughed knowing I was safe walking home with protection. But did tell me that next time to wait for Dad. 🤭😳
Wow! Thank you for another great history lesson. So nice to see that all history is not forgotten!! I really liked the flag and the stone remembering the Vets. Thank you again!
My family, my sister in particular, was instrumental in giving the park a facelift. The townsfolk are very proud of their veterans and first res. Thank You for watching. 😊
Mr. Tom i just cant tell you how much i appreciate you sharing these videos. Im from the south, but ive always loved the Northeast. And Limerick is one of the prettiest towns ive seen. I love all the old pictures and the history. Thanjs for sharing buddy👍👍
LOVE watching/listening about Limerick's history, as I spent my formative years on a 90-acre farm off Rt 160 on the Cornish line. One of my best friends was a Provencher (Paul), as the two prominent families in Limerick at the time (mid-to-late 70s) were the Provencher and the Carroll families. Absolutely loved Limerick, and one of the worst days in my life was the family having to abruptly move away from Limerick to Boston for economic reasons. Good stuff, and thanks for the in-depth historical accounts of the town.
@@tommys_trucks_trains_tractors Paul P. as in used to live at the top of Washington St when he was a teen? If so, same Paul I knew. Last I heard he had moved to Jax, Florida area with his adopted brother (redhead, forget his name). Paul and I were tight.
I grew up/lived in that house/restaurant run by my parents in the early 2000s. What was known as the Lakeside Grill back in the day. So many great memories living in Limerick. I am now 27 years old and do not live in Maine anymore but I do miss the early days
You did a beautiful job on the video ! You got a really cool town that you live in . You was playing my favorite artist from home state John Mellencamp . Thank you so much for sharing !
