This is the first Bundle I've picked up in awhile. Yakuza: Like a Dragon was on my wish list and Hi-Fi Rush and Steelrising are also games I've wanted to try out. Thanks so much for your time in reviewing these games.

Hi-Fi Rush alone carry this bundle in my opinion.
I know lots of people praise this game, and as I've been burned by what people say many times, I'm always cautious, but that game is a pure gem, if any of you that will read me believe that you won't ever play Hi-Fi Rush, check the boss fight cutscenes against Roquefort, or Mimosa, and maybe you'll change your opinion completely, the OST is also great, I'm close to call that game a masterpiece. (Don't watch this if you wanna play the game as it is pretty late into the game)
As for the rest, I agree for the most part, except that I'd swap Bravery & Greed for Hi-Fi Rush!
I've played a bit of Steelrising but it's not my favorite game from Spiders, I'd even put it toward the end of the list.

Thanks for your thoughts, man! I think Hi-Fi Rush might get higher up if I had more time with it. Despite not really being great at many of these rhythm games I always seem to get better with a bit more playtime. I definitely will be giving it another go. The overall presentation really is what makes the game for me though. Pity about Tango Gameworks :(
I was curious about your thoughts on Steelrising just since you had covered so many Spiders games in the past. I'm a bit surprised it's near the end of your list for Spiders though. To me it seemed liked it might be more polished than some of their other ones? But I can only comment based off the videos I watched on your other channel.
@@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews Hi-Fi Rush is a really hard game to be good at and yes it become insanely good toward the end, in a few hours it is difficult to see why the game is that good.
Yeh I was sad to hear that they were closing after making probably the best Xbox game of the last 10 years, such a shame.
The Evil Within is also quite a good game, but I didn't think 2 was as good as the first one.
Yes it is more polished but I'm not a huge fan of Soulslikes.
I appreciate Dark Souls 1 a lot, it's one of the best game I've played I think, but I'm not into playing all games taking inspiration from it, because while I like the combat there is some things that I like in DS that I do not find anywhere else, the atmosphere to begin with, it's really something special.
Yes I think many people will prefer Steelrising over the older Spider games that have huge problems of balancing, or some really glaring issues such as Technomancer with the enemies respawning way too quickly, that kind of things can really make people stop to play the game.
But I also felt like the older games had more soul than Steelrising, I prefer their world, the gameplay is probably worse for many people and it was often broken for example Mars: War Logs & Bound By Flame that had two ways of playing that demolished the game, but I kinda liked that.
So to not make it too long, I believe most people will prefer Steelrising over the older games but if you're into Spiders' work you might simply not like it as much ?
If I had to rank Steelrising, I'd put it above Faery which is imo the worst game Spiders made, I prefer all the other games.
I already knew I was getting this but it was nice to hear about Bravery and Greed
Yeah, after being burnt out by rogue-lites (because of them always being offered in Choice), I was really happy with Bravery and Greed. The style of combat really did a lot for me.
@@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews I have no problem putting hours into roguelikes if they are turn based because I can play them while half doing something else. This is ironically why Like a dragon appealed, but I hope I can pause cutscenes.
@@PlayingItWrong I do the same with turn-based strategy games like Civ. Allows me to walk away at any time.
And as far as pausing during cutscenes...I feel like yes, that's a thing. But I can't really remember. It would definitely be a nice option though because sometimes you can get back to back cutscenes. Or at least that's how the beginning felt.

Ooooh The Yakuza Community will not let the indignity of being only a Strong Recommendation slide. (Though I will admit... it does have a very slow opening, and having played the entire game give it the nod (or trust in the series could). The opening 2 hours is a slow burn.)
Yeah Bravery and Glory on top surprises me though but that's why I love watching your videos.
Heh, I really need to get on playing Yakuza. Then I can look back on this and think, "What was I thinking???"
its a bit funny when looking at this bundle the 2 games i didnt care for was the VN (just not my type of game) and the king one. will 100% be getting this

I already got this one, but nice to hear your thoughts. Yakuza is what sold it for me, because it’s a game I always wanted to try but never got a chance to. Some of these games I know some friends who would be more into, so I’d probably gift them the games.

I did temporarily play this Yakuza game already through Xbox game pass, but I don’t have game pass anymore.
Nice bundle. Interested in playing most of these. Put some time into Yakuza and I'm enjoying it. A lot of cutscenes like you said. Thank you

No this is the first. It's just like your other viewer said slow in the beginning not a lot of action. I find the story interesting though.

Nice! Hope you enjoy! I hear ya with Yakuza. I've gotten all my Yakuza games from past Humbles. I own 1 - 4 and was thinking this was the next one in the franchise only to find that now I have gaps haha. So I guess I'll eventually need to pick those up on sale...you know, when I actually play them.

@@Raenaece Yeah, I know there's a Yakuza 0 that I don't own. And the fifth and sixth Yakuza games. Plus, the latest one that came out but that was too new to put in a Humble Choice anyway. But yeah, there's a few that slipped through our fingers.
Somehow Loddlenaut is the one I want to play the most. I don't have the heart to unsub from the Humble Choice, having stayed with them from the very beginning, Humble Monthly or what's it called. But the choices are sure getting a bit weird.
Loddlenaut is a good choice! Everyone can do with a little cozy game lol. Which of these games do you think were a weird choice? I mean, I guess I'd probably say Mediterranea Inferno and King of the Castle but I feel like Humble Choice always likes to throw in games like those at least once or twice a year so I think I've come to expect it. Even if I don't like it...

In terms of money, it's 100% always a good deal, then it's mostly a matter of the semi randomness of what you'll get.
Inferno, an easy skip, I hate psychedelic stuff, and the story seemed way too self centered for me to find something to enjoy as an external user.
Amanda I almost skipped because horror tends to be bland, but this one seems fun and puzzly!
Bravery and Greed, well, seems ok, kinda filler, gonna try it.
King of the castle, second skip. What am I supposed to do, I passed the age of playing all 5 players alone in card games...
Loddlenaut, I kinda made fun of it at first, but quickly saw it seemed pretty chill and fun, like slime rancher in subnautica!
Steel Rising, fairly standard souls like. Gonna give it a try.
Then... the big one, Hifi rush, what a tragedy, but the game is soooo good. No hesitation on picking it up.
Yakuza, well I just gotta have all of them, going to make it easier when I decide to do the yakuza franchise.
So yeah, a surprisingly solid month with 2 skips, and 2 wishlists, but wow there's some incredible bangers in there!
Haha, I hadn't thought about playing King of the Castle just by myself. Maybe I should have done that for footage lol.
