This is not the Sonic 3 Beta. The 0408 beta is from over 2 months after Sonic 3's release. You can tell by the level select for one if you don't believe me. Flying Battery is not between Carnival Night and Ice Cap and Mushroom Hill is not called Mushroom Valley. Some S&K stuff is different but this was released between S3 and S&K making it a S&K beta.

Sonic 1's Scrap Brain zone was a late addition, and because they didn't have a use for "W" anywhere else in the font sprite, it didn't exist. Thus you got "Clock Ork Zone". That's all it was.
The reason flying battery was the same is because it was a completed sonic 3 stage when splitting the game sega chose to add it in the knuckles portion of the game as they felt it would be too short with just mushroom valley, sandopolis, lava reef and death egg

do any of you wonder why the seesaw in hill top was in emerald hill? Here's why. Sonic team knew they where going to reuse it so they left it in the zone slot it was originally in, the 5th one. Later when hill top was in that spot, they added the seesaw in.
Remember when somebody say you can use a game Genie need to fix the collision in Greenhill well actually you need to put 13 of them. when I did it the game just keep crashing

When I where goggles, I just use the extra air inside them to breathe underwater...until I run out of air or I accidentally create a vacuum (low air pressure) inside my goggles which results in my face hurting.

In sonic 1 the blue you see in game compared to the beta remake shown In the actual sonic 1 sonic has a less saturated color, making him appear to have more of a grayish tone of blue. He got a more saturated color in sonic 2, but it was also a darker color of blue
