Just saw this, we live near Galax and ride the trail often. Love it! Yeah, it's pronounced "Freeze". I think the tunnel is creepy, but amazing at the same time. So glad to see someone enjoying it.
Just an FYI - when you encounter horseback riders in the trail, horses ALWAYS have the right of way and bicyclists should stop - not just blow past them. Some horses will spook at a bicyclist.
You found me. That’s okay, it got worse. Later on, there were turkeys running in front of me down the path and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what they were ( I was fairly exhausted at the point ). My eldest niece made sure to point out to me that they were turkeys. 🤷♂️ 😆
Just found your channel. We did a quick stop at the New River Trail in Dec 2022 on our way to the Outer Banks. We only road about 10 miles total since it was fairly cold and the trail pretty wet, but we plan to return maybe this summer for a longer ride. I like your narration and video quality, though I'm not nuts about the 'flicker-fade' between scenes. It is a bit distracting from the video itself!
Excellent! Appreciate your comment and critique. I mostly use that transition as an "artistic" choice, I suppose, but sometimes it's to cover a video clip that I extend for a better cut to the music but the shot movement is too erratic to leave unaltered. I'll keep it mind though. I may have gone a little overboard on this one :). I am uploading a new video on riding the Huckleberry Trail now and it's cut mostly without using that transition.
@@jaydogva - I have some catching up to do! Keep the videos coming. We'll be headed to Florida (from Ohio) at the end of the month and will be hitting several trails along the way as well as in Florida. In June we'll be doing the Greenbrier trail in WVa and hopefully the Creeper Trail later this year.
they're probably referring to over your voice. There should be an option, depdning on the program you're using, to "auto duck" the music which will decrease the volume when you speak. if not you can do it manually@@jaydogva

Never saw anyone who could confuse a wastewater treatment facility and a fish hatchery. 😂😂

The birds running in front of you look like more like Guineafowl than turkeys. The fact they ran into a yard is more evidence.
FYI for people watching, the spongy bridges were replaced in 2023
Awesome, glad to hear it. Thanks!
Did anybody else notice that the cute little border collie at 8:22 was a tripod?
Yes, good catch!
yeah bro!!
Hey!

Have you done the Virginia Creeper Trail? Do you know if there’s a grocery store in Galax?
could i do this with gravel tires on a road bike?
Your music is too loud.
Too loud over voice/talking or just too loud overall?

Music SUCKS and it's too loud. I feel like I'm on HOLD with an insurance company. WHY do all you You Tubers insist on doing this?
The music does not suck, you just need an attitude adjustment. But it may be a bit too loud.
