Quite more than you think : - The 3D level similar to wolfeinstein 3D - The "cinematic" that goes over the 64 colors limitation - The title screen and credits that sound nothing than a Megadrive/Genesis can produce. Basically, it's a software recreation of MOD player (music format used in Amiga machines and relies on samples).
I remembered enjoying this game a lot of a kid, but watching this now makes me realize how far ahead of its time this game was. It had a LOT going on given it was on the Sega Genesis.
Check a console called 3do that was released in 90s before ps1 even though it didn't have a lot of good games but was advanced like wireless controllers, u can save for some games no memory card needed, and some games uses real people and backgrounds
For being released in 1995, this audio quality with the opening and the credits is fucking crazy. It has some of the greatest musical quality on the genesis. It gave me goosebumps just listening to it.
@@theskullemoji That's the SNES for you, it just has way better sound chips. The genesis managed to pull off amiga level music with a much less powerful chip

Some game devs made games really hard because they didn't want people to rent the game and beat it in a weekend. I'm fairly certain this was one of them; I remember hearing that the RC Car level was intentionally made really difficult so that people would get stuck on it for a while. Same with the Lion King game on SNES/Genesis, how the level with the monkey-throwing segment was made really difficult to act as a roadblock to people who rented the game.
@@Gotmilk0112 oh ive never heard that before, i just assumed that it was because the games were limited by space so they made it harder as to not be very quick to finish, but itd make sense especially since rentals were booming back then
This version does do slightly better than the SNES version. It includes "You've Got A Friend In Me" on the cutscenes, while it goes unused on the SNES. Idk why, maybe some licensing issues between the devs and Disney (or whichever record label company owned the rights to it)
Programming error. The Super NES version was by the other programmers, they've accidentally made a programming error that prevented the song from playing in cutscenes or credits.
Fun fact : The Doom part was first supposed to be used for the game "Mickey Mania 2" as some kind of bonus level. For the prototype, the UI from DOOM was used and mickey use a Gatling gun. Since the game got cancelled, the code were reused for this Toy Story level.
Whoever's Playing This Version Of Toy Story The Video Game Is Playing These Levels Way Too Fast And Losing Life Points Before Finishing Accept For The Mini Games.
How many damn desks and bookshelves does one kid need
Traveler's Tales really pulled off a technical feat with this game.

It might be the best looking game on the sega genesis for real

Just listen to the SNES version, sounds way better, and handles voice samples way better

@@gorfelbt Impressive but i couldn't help laugh at "CODE RED- MOV- MOV-!"
This game has an awesome soundtrack!
MondBoyColor thats true
Andy’s house is so gigantic it’s like the Dennis The Menace game on SNES.
You nailed that RC car level like it was nothing
You do realize TAS Speedruns are being played by bots right?

The way Scott the dog is animated, wow, downright MAGIC. They pushed the limits of the Genesis' hardware and pulled it off!
"No, no that's Scud you-"
This game is a technical feat and is THE best Disney game on the ol’ Mega Drive imo
Just a game of course, but funny how we are shown Andy’s room to have 75 windows hahha!
My headcanon is that they're running around in circles
3:00 "Oh Yeah?"

When I was a kid I always used to lose big time on the claw getting buzz level. It was so stressful.
These graphics are PS5 worthy think this was 60FPS one of the best looking SEGA Genisis games
Besides the DOOM part yeah solid enough frame rate think 60
this is way too hard for a toy story game lol
benny boy never got past level 2 as a kid

very good
Sega genesis soundbyte sounds better
There is a serpent residing within my footwear.
_9:50__ This Went From Regular Toy Story Gameplay Into Doom_

Hmm, this fact makes Toy Story slight a reskin of Mickey Mania 2.
How in the hell were they that smooth at Roller Bob with 1 hit point, that's wild
good job man!
I'm confused by Roller Bob's hitbox. I thought as long as Woody didn't get touched, you're okay, but it seems to be even smaller than that
doom story 3D
Hjörtur Einarsson Yes rainbow chubbies
this game is hard as fuck i could neva get pass certain stages
cool toys story
the second level is impossible you cant do that in the time
Is possible, its just that you are too slow
9:00 Smart move
Hello
Aaaah
Yes loan again, naturally
Snes and the sega both look amazing but i think music:snes
And the game:sega
Well for me, I'd go with the SNES version with the PC port music, through the power of MSU-1.
