My ex wife was always frustrated by the fact that i wasn't in a hurry to buy expensive cars, trendy clothes or equip the house with expensive furniture or appliances. I could easily spend a day fly fishing on a windless day with a couple of cold beers in my creel, alone. Catching a fish is simply a bonus. Cleanses the brain thoroughly.
If the relationship was truly bad or toxic, then yes, guys will say that you "dodged a bullet", that you would of been worse off had you stuck together longer. But no one is perfect, there's always going to be some things you don't appreciate in someone else, and sometimes we focus on those to get over someone or even as with the fox and the grapes parable, judge someone to be sour that we can't get, or who it didn't work out with. I think it's important to be aware of that. Of course I feel lucky that I don't have to deal with the drama or negative things about them anymore, but miss the good. yeah that first week after the breakup when you are sleeping like a baby for the first time in a couple years is epic. Then you order a pizza and turn on the xbox without having to negociate anything. Finally you realize you put yourself through way too much just for some occassional bedroom fun.

While this world get's more crazy day by day my peace get's better, staying out of the shit give more time to get shit done, women are interesting as you can read them like a book, just pay attention it's not hard as there's always a pattern. I was struggling with a lot of the relationship issues that were mentioned in this , as far as not being able to communicate specifically how I would feel and being adamant about the decisions I make to my girlfriend whom I have one child with , my son . Why should i please someone that i like or dislike, i like my solitude and questioning about my goal and what i want to change. Well yes i use to be emotional in my teen and my 20s, that i need to master myself to get better. Okay i'm still 62 yrs old single man and i know exactly what i want in a woman as long she strong and confident and respectful with all best quality. Relationship should be base on respect and choices by working together, i was questioning since i was 14, so mutual respect is very important.
