Thanks for checking out my video.
Today i did a demo on one of my favorite amps of all time, it is a Laney Supergroup Mk1 from 1969 with an output power at 100 watts.
Most of the things that i´m talking about for example "that this is the amp that started heavy metal" is my own opinions.
I hope that someone will have use of this video, please comment and subscribe.

Toni Iommi also used a modded Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster with his Laney Supergroup amp during his early years in Black Sabbath.
Yeah i used a Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster copy in this video so that i could get closer to the sound/tone🙂

That Hagstrom is gorgeous :D I think they don't sell them anymore :/ that amp sounds powerful! I am considering a Laney Lionheart, I can't decide between the 5 or 20w version... still... I will have to save a lot of money and it will take a lot of time. I am sure it will be worth it though. Cheers!

The best guitar amp ever made in my opinion..... (I own a usa lakland geezer butler bass... and some ashdown stuff...) I haven't made it too dream amp level tho.. thank you very much again

If you get IRs from those speakers you could make decent money on them. can´t really find those.

Pretty damn close! I am jealous, because I bought LA30BL and still struggling to sound like this with a loadbox... What rangemaster did you use? What mics did you use?
Okey so if you want to really replicate Tony’s guitar tone you’ll need a solid body guitar with P90 pickups, a 100w Laney supergroup from 1969, Laney supergroup cabinet from 1969 with either goodmans speakers or celestion greenback depending on the album tones you want to sound like, a dallas rangemaster treble booster and that is basically it!
I used a Doom booster (treble booster) that is a copy of a rangemaster but it has been modded to sound like Tony’s did. And for mics i used what i always use which is a Shure sm7b and a Shure sm57 and i blenden those until i thought that it sounded good.
What loadbox do you use?
Your bl30 stack... needs... a donner reverb square, and tomsline plexion, clean sound .. joyo actone.... pedal. All cheap.... rowin plexion is good ... I got both..
You need the ironman ii load box.... $750

In the early promotional clips of Black Sabbath (like Paranoid at the Beat Club) there are Orange amps clearly displayed. Did they really use those, or was it "product placement" or something?
They were used in those videos but not during the recording process. And i have heard in an interview with Tony Iommi that he “hated” the sound of Orange amplifiers. But here is the story about Orange and Beat Club which explains why there were Orange amps on almost every video that they made:
“After we set up Orange Hire in 1969 we supplied Orange equipment to a lot of English and American bands when they worked in Germany and the rest of Europe on tours organised by the major German promoters, Lippmann and Rau.
People working in the German music business soon began to notice these orange-coloured amplifiers on stage. Out of the blue, I got a phone-call from Mike Leckebusch who was the producer of the Beat-Club television show which was broadcast nationwide from Bremen. Mike asked me whether we would provide Orange backline equipment for his show, and I was only too pleased to oblige.
This was an important development for Orange because although bands who appeared on Beat-Club had the option in the studio of using their own equipment, fortunately for us most of them chose to use Orange and many of them then placed orders for equipment with us soon after.
Beat-Club gave Orange television exposure throughout Germany and orders began to flow in. As a result of this we decided to form a German subsidiary - Orange GMBH”

its not the amp its the cellestion g12h 30watt 75hz speaker that make the metal sound because of its harder ovdrive breackup

I wanted to share as much info i could in one video, mostly because there isn’t very much info on this amp/rig collected on one page. You almost have to search around on many pages (on the internet) to get every information about it etc
