My dear sister passed away and left me many of her lovely antiques.
I knew she loved Oriental rugs, but I couldn't find one I had seen in her library on a previous visit in looking around.
Finally, I found the beautiful rug, but I was very puzzled about where it was stored. She had folded it up and moved it to the corner of her garage.
Nevertheless, I was thrilled to take possession of what I remembered was a valuable, beautiful rug.
As I drove home from California to Arizona with the heavy folded rug in my SUV, I noticed a putrid smell filling the car.
I realized why my sister had banished the rug to the garage. Her dogs have urinated on the carpet, and the smell has become intolerable for my sister.
I then decided I would not take it home without cleaning it, so I drove directly to Coit rug cleaners in Phoenix and dropped it off.
It was expensive to clean, but I thought I would have my sisters a fabulous rug in my home soon.
The smell was much better, and I put it on the floor of my own library to enjoy and remember my dear sister.
After a few months, my housekeeper mentioned she was vacuuming the rug and noticed it had an odor.
I hadn't noticed anything in particular, so I dismissed the idea.
A few months passed, and I traveled for three weeks on business. When I returned and walked into my home, it "hit" me. The smell was definitely coming from my sister's rug.
I now know that I had become used to the smell of living with the rug. I was shocked that I hadn't noticed that terrible stench.
Houseguests and visitors must have noticed it for some time, and I was unaware.
What failed with the cleaning I had done in Phoenix? How disappointing.
So, this morning I scoured the internet and looked at advertising videos and UA-cam demonstrations by companies all over the Country.
Arizona has several companies that claim to remove pet odors. After watching and comparing all the videos, I was not convinced they would do a good job removing the pee smell and guaranteeing their work.
When I saw and listened to Meir Martin and his company Pet Pee Pee, I knew he would give my rug the best cleaning and care.
I was glued to his presentations as he used unique, organic minerals from The Dead Sea, and I watched how the minerals washed through the rug fibers and vacuumed them out the back. His patterned vacuum technique was the only method that ran the used solution THROUGH the rug and then into the tubing until the water was clear, indicating the carpet was free of all the pee and odor.
Wow!!! This looked like the odor and dirty pee accumulating from years of dog traffic (and worse) would be cleaned.
And guess what? Pet Pee Pee guarantees it.
They are nationwide with UPS pick-up.
I texted Mr. Martin a photo, and he texted me back in ten minutes. He gave me a price, told me the weight, and told me something about my rug.
I followed Mr. Martin's video on folding and bagging for shipping. That same day UPS came to the door, and off it went 3,000 miles to Florida.
My home is already smelling better.

This guy is awesome! I texted him about a rug I had, he responded immediately asking for pics of the rug. I sent pics and he called me. CALLED me! Got some more info from me about the rug and realized it probably wasn’t worth spending the money to send it to him for cleaning. He then walked me through step by step how I could clean it at home using easily found solutions. He could easily have said ‘send it right away! I’ll clean it for you!’ But instead he was honest and wasn’t looking to rip me off. If you have a valuable oriental rug that needs some seriously cleaning...I recommend calling or texting him.

If you have Oriental rug at home and you have a big dog you will notice a brown stain start to resurfacing on the rug but the dog never pee on it this is because the dog lick himself in the saliva are cost a brown stains.

What am I doing with my life learning how to clean rugs...
I've never been on such an emotional roller coaster. From the first moment I was hooked with the mystery of the smell. It brought out my inner Sherlock Holmes with it's many twists and turns. I questioned every moment until the final housekeeper reveal. I'm still not fully convinced that it wasn't in fact the house keeper peeing on the carpet to cover up the stench of blood.
The tension built to a magnificent peak with the cleaners story arch and backstory. There were subtle hints as to his origin with references to the "Dead Sea". But his knowledge and expertise really shined in the resolution of the main plot.
The finale with the musical number penetrated to the depths of my soul. You can really feel her thankfulness for having a clean carpet again.
The only place I could offer criticism is the ending. At 1:30, it drones on a little long with its extended cast. Overall, I think this is a must watch family or party video.

Someone failed at school.
Organic minerals are found in food. They are minerals bonded in some way to organic components (biological tissues) Inorganic minerals are those found in rock (e.g. sulfates, oxides and carbonates).
It's just salt. Salt and vinegar for urine smells is a rather old method.
