You're welcome! I'm so glad I could help you find this treasure again after all these years 😁 I hope you enjoy all of the other Spoken Arts stories on my channel... You will recognize the quality production and the actors!
My mom was a librarian. My mother had the adventure spoken arts vinyl box set. It had the time machine, 20,000 leagues under the sea, Kim, captains courageous, robinson crusoe, swiss family robinson, kidnapped, treasure island, the lost world, aroubd the world in 80 days. I would take these records home and listen to them for hours. Thank u for sharing this. I love spoken arts.
I loved listening to these from the library when I was growing up. The library was my second home, and I would check these out too. Great stuff, esp. "Around the World in 80 Days."
Oh, I'm glad I could be of help! Thank you for the kind words :-) I'll upload a new bonus spoken arts story later this week, and hopefully you will like that as well 👍
Check out the 2 BBC RADIO DRAMA ADAPTATIONS OF SAME NOVEL. Very well done, with more character voices, sound effects and music. You might like it. Thanks for posting this recording.
Background hiss and little recording flaws are part of old recording experience, and adds texture and a kind of aural patina. I'd personally prefer to hear the originals without a lot of clean-up.
Sir. You are doing a great service to mankind. I congratulate your endeavours.
Yes, I'm hoping that my uploads will bring about happiness and world peace :-)
We all really appreciate your work tracking these down and sharing them with us. Thank you.
Ah, it's my pleasure! I'm glad people are enjoying them so much :-)
I have been looking for this recording for FIFTEEN years. Thank you! I first heard it in 1981. This was my gateway to H.G. Wells.

Hurried and abridged to the extreme. I was disappointed.
