Yeah It’s because of bullsh*t “green”EPA standards apparently. Which is the same reason they’re using smaller engines with turbos. I Just bought a new Honda and that’s what the dealer told me. The really messed up thing is that they don’t even make a spare kit for new Hondas! Luckily the screw threads are the the same as the old 7t-9th generation Hondas, so if you go to a junkyard, you can find them cheap with the mounting bracket screw etc..
When I needed the spare, it got a flat also. From now on, I'll always check and maintain air for the spare also.

I guess with newer cars you’d just be left to buy a full size spare and hope it fits in the compartment
Does it have to be 60 psi? Does spare tire affect the psi light?
It should say on the tire or in your owners manual. And it shouldn’t affect it. It could be another normal tire or faulty system
