11 years ago there was a sedan which offered all 4 disc brakes, 205-55-16 alloys with full size spare, 125bhp & 207nm of power, fantastic hydraulic steering, Blaupunkt stereo. That car was the Linea T-Jet. Watching this video I'm thinking how Fiat was ahead of it's time by almost a decade!
Linea is great, but rear space wasn't the best at that time. Also Diesels were sold mostly at 2010

Dont try to justify the "mileage seeking indian mindset" that killed great performance cars by highlighting irrelevant flaws.
my neighbor bought it in 2015 and sold it within 2 weeks to get a Punto...it was a great car but not economical

Kudos to VW and Škoda for bringing such amazing sedans to Indian despite the sedan market dying in India. Great to see these two companies not shifting to making only SUVs like other car makers. Am happy they are giving importance to sedans and also to those who love driving em. I too personally prefer sedans over SUVs. As always, the review was extremely amazing!

I bought the Vw Virtus on 23rd july 2022, completed 1700 kms till 2nd august and reported a problem to service centre when i went in for swagat check up that the car is pulling to the left. They tried to solve the problem by exchanging front tyres, got back the car, problem was not solved, reported it back on 6th august. They confessed that the car is new and they don’t have any data for wheel alignment. I was called back on 11th august, i dropped my car and back to back 3 wheel alignments were done with trials, problem was not solved i tried showing the car 3rd party wheel alignment centres and they did not have the data for the car too, until now i had completed 3400 kms, now i had a indistrial vist to ahmedabad, mumbai, pune for which i travelled 2400 kms in my car and i face severe left shoulder pain in my trip for those 10 days, now i dropped my car again and 2 wheel alignments have been done again but the problem has not been solved as i went for the trial, service centre has opened up the disk of the car( which is a technical term of vw service centre to solve the issue via company ) service centre has acknowledged the issue now, but none of have the solution for this. Now as a part of doubt i went and took a test drive of both manual and automatic 1.0 demo cars and both of them were pulling to the left, which was shocking. As a part of doubt now i went to check skoda slavia and noticed that the car has same problem, till now i drove 4 cars and reported the same problem. See i have experience of around 2 lakh kms of driving in last 10 years in which i have driven 80kms on my VW Polo, so i have not faced an issue like this before. One suggestion came in as the road bankings are made on the left side so the car pulls on the left side but them someone suggest to drive the car wrong side on the same road and if car is pulling towards the divider, opposite to the banking, then the issue is serious, i did it. This is a serious issue and i have a tremendous shoulder pain. Writing this to big car channel, so that Vw should recognise this issue. Thank you🙏🏼

Volkswagen virtus a.k.a the junior jetta is a sportier cousin to the škoda slavia a.k.a the junior Octavia .Both of them impressed us very well and that MQB A0-IN Platform fits to our Indian roads. Loved the NA engine of the City; it really does feel at home, maybe a little too much of home even. The novelty and fun factor is a lad lesser with city IMO. As an over all package MQB AO cars tip the scale over

I test drove Virtus and it's very smooth and feels refined. The steering is however very much lighter that is better only for sedate driving. There is not much lag but definitely 1.5 is Enthusiasts choice
I am wondering that if virtus come with rear wheel drive , all the companies should be focus on affordable rear wheel drive sedans btw I m not talking about nano 😅

2 things were wrongly identified.
1st. The car revs and it does have launch control there must be something wrong with the particular model Faisal is driving
2nd. The horn will be changed on delivery its complementary with other things as well

Even after the entry of amazing sedans like Slavia and Virtus, there is something about the City which anyone considering a sedan just can't ignore. With amazing balance of comfort and performance, reliability of Honda and the finesse associated with its name, it will still be difficult to ignore the City. Also I feel the City is to become the most VFM one among these three (Verna just can't be put amongst the City and VAG siblings). In around 14.5 lakh OTR Delhi City offers sunroof, keyless entry/ push button start, 6 airbags et al while Slavia costs around 16L+ for comparable features (which is due to rise with time).

But the city is a piece of shit nowadays
It's driving dynamics is no where near the 3rd gen the interior quality is complete garbage compared to the one in the VW twins or even the third gen city
And that beautiful engine while amazing is quite outdated now it's way past it's prime and honda really needs to wake up
It's sad seeing the state of honda but i will always love my city
Also not to mention the touchscreen which is vital these days in the city is a complete and utter mess

I drove City and a rapid. City's dynamics and acceleration doesn't even come closer to a rapid. I am not sure how people compare to salvia and virtus. City is value for money, overall yes.

Low back camera quality , no adaptive lines ,no Branded sound system , no front Parking sensors , no 4 rear parking sensors and no motorised seating adjustments. This product should be priced under 14 lakhs. If someone is spending 21 lakhs , vw should include above features as optional.
