Hey! You at the back, stop laughing! Poor Miriam is out of a job and the Brewer thingy has one less Tory MuPpet she can invite on her show to spout their divisive venom.
She also said the Rwanda legislation wasn't strong enough because it didn't opt out of the ECHR. So, tories not being tory enough because they failed to take away people's human rights. And she wonders why she's seen as a crank.
and apparently she is a devout Christian , but one of those hardline right wing ones that talks about abortion and ' family values' ( fair enough ) but ignores the parts about the poor and looking out for others .
She was my local MP and turned up a couple of days before the election canvassing. My neighbour who voted reform and myself who voted labour were in in perfect accord that she should do one. What a waste of space.
One day someone is going ask this question "If everything was so right and things were so rosy why did you (Tories) suffer your biggest defeat of modern times?" It's very simple no one likes being lied to all of the time and told "it's want the British people want".....yeah right!!
I mean, they’re far less popular than they were under Corbyn. The Conservatives mostly lost because Reform split the right wing vote, and of those who did vote for Labour, the biggest reason people gave when polled on why they voted Labour was getting the Tories out, only a small minority expressed any actual excitement for Labour policy. So yes, Labour are more popular than the Tories, but right now bubonic plague is more popular than the Tories so that’s hardly strong praise.
@DissociatedWomenIncorporated strangely lots of people I know voted Labour because Corbyn isn't in charge. If he had been, I suspect the best would have been a hung parliament. And I am not into Corbyn, it's just the right wing media would have had a field day promoting him as extreme left wing, those nutters think the tory party lost because it was too left wing. But I agree reform spilt the vote somewhat, but starmer still got a higher percentage of the vote and on a similar turn out would have got more votes.
@@DissociatedWomenIncorporated I agree . I am going to savour the tories defeat and am glad Labour are in power . There are some seats where they won quite big , but there are so many seats where it is obvious they won because tory voters stayed at home or voted Reform and split the vote . Tactical voting among anti tories also helped . I really worry that if Labour cant turn things around enough before the next GE a resurgent Tory Party or even one that has merged with Reform or an electoral pact between those two parties could defeat Labour . Labour have alot to put right and have some difficult decisions to make and are already becoming unpopular .
@@scooby1992 I can see why you’d have optimism, I have none. To me it appears that the Tories weren’t defeated at all, they merely started calling themselves “Labour”. I’d absolutely love for Starmer to prove me wrong, but right now he seems more interested in taking away elderly people’s heating.
*Miriam Cates is one of those who believes that The Universe is just 6000 years old, and that humans walked the Earth alongside dinosaurs. I think she'd be better off moving to Mississippi or Alabama* 👍😎🇺🇸✝🦖🦕

I cant remember her name but it is the one with long blonde hair who looks a bit like a hippy chick , unlike Miriam Cates . Sadly her partner in crime Danny Kruger won his new boundary safe seat in Wiltshire .
They put their offshore tax havens first, not this country! oligarch funding of the Brexit campaign stepped up when the EU announced plans to examine tax affairs within member states.
Cates spoke out in favour of the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill, which fortunately wasn't pushed through in time for the change of government. IMO, that she got voted out is a wonderful thing.
I hope so but dont write them off . I suspect any moderate One Nation tories or at least most of them have already left the party or realised they need to move to the right ( Tugenhat and even the old old version of Jenrick for instance ) to ingratiate themselves with the nutters who make up a majority of the Tory party membership . Watch them merge with Reform or just move further right to get their voters back from Reform . Reform doesnt exist to win power , they are just a vehicle that has been and will continue to be a vehicle that drives the tories further to the right and they are good at providing people with ' simple ' answers to complicated questions . There are genuinely people who think the NHS's problems will be solved by stopping all immigration , but for whatever you do dont mention the staff crisis that would ensue .
Commiserating with a loser. It’s her seat she lost not a member of her family. So Hartley Brewer get a grip. I know you find it hard to hide your allegiance to the Conservative Party but at least try to make an effort of impartiality, I promise it won’t hurt and you’ll feel no pain.
No humility never listens never learns. Two of most unpleasant and deluded women on the political scene. 412 labour MPs tells you all you need to know.
Why would anyone vote for that thing?
Because unlike you, they have brains. Labour are going the fuck this country even more than the Tories did.
Out of power and still talking rubbish .
Tory cheerleader JHB looked more devastated than Cates.
I just love that phrase’’the FORMER conservative MP’’
410 seats says it all
So after the voters rejected her and her party she thinks she knows what the voters want
Thus epitomising the Tory disconnect with both reality & the ordinary citizen.
It is not sad at all. Let’s rebuild the country
GB News - say no more!
Wrong
Yes another one going to the Beano
GB News - an oxymoron - GB Lies-r-Us would be accurate.

"Former, sadly, former Conservative MP..." And people say Laura Kuenssberg is biased!
GB NEWS impartial?!?

The problem for the Tories is that people now see what they actually are. A change of leader doesn't change what they are.
