- We do miss the Stargazer already! It's such a refined 7 seater that's perfect for comfortably hauling people, or things. I wouldn't mind being in any of the seats in the car, even on long road trips!

for me, the best 7 seater right now in its segment. if only Pinoys can look past the usual Toyota or Mitsu badge mentality, this car is a very good buy for its price and spacious cargo. ive seen this personally and i'm a 6 footer, the third row is VERY VERY spacious and comfortable even for my height compared to the veloz, expander, brv and even the wanna be 7 seaters like the fort, monty or everest.
True, but unless after-sales support and parts supply is as extensive as Toyota, it's target market will always go for ease of ownership and maintenance over this obviously superior vehicle. Hyundais are dependable and sturdy as Japanese cars. Their engines are durable and smooth. Transmissions are excellent. Workmanship is topnotch, materials used are quality given its price.
It is when some drunkard mashes your headlight/tail light one fine evening, or when a tree branch smashes your windshield after a heavy rain, or when the ignition coils starts to falter 8 years after it was bought from the casa, or when the batteries decides to bow-out 3 years after driving out from the casa, or God forbid, a vehicular accident. It is all these mundane little things and accidents where you get the headaches. Most casas in the provinces don't have OEM parts & supplies readily available, nor do local auto supply stores. You can of course put out an order in the casa for the parts, but you'd be lucky to get it within 2 months. Unless Hyundai and other car brands starts to focus on these things, nothing will ever rival Japanese cars in this country in terms of sales. WHich is kinda sad.
Personally I don't mind that...at least I don't have that much of a tweeny (same car) on road makes me feel unique.
@@eg3360 I gladly exchange all the great things for the mediocrity. Also batteries are not a problem, plastic parts also. Main issue would be if the engine fails, or the IVT. Good that they didn't go with a turbo and also the quality of the engine external design and the hood makes it easier to repair. There would always be pros and cons, but this time the Stargazer pros outweighs the cons. There would always be people going with Toyota or Mitsubishi, but for some of us that has good taste and standards, we would rather go with quality, and also if you are quite maalaga / good maintainer, you can minimize the issues and problems. Anyway vs Xpander, BRV and Veloz, Stargazer is the better MPV.
@@razznote7586 I am happy to know that you have the resources (money) and that your area doesn't have any problem in Hyundai parts to make it possible to "alaga" a Stargazer. That means that in case a street kid or an accident smashes either your Stargazer window, side mirror assembly, rear wiper assembly, very unique headlight LED array, your LED DRL strip, your very unique front grills, or very unique rear LED brake and park strip, youwon't have to wait for 2-6 months or worse more than a year for a genuine part and for its repair. It may surprise you that for the rest of the provinces in the Philippines, this is not the case. This is not a matter of taste, this is a matter of necessity for many working class who are barely just above the poverty-line. People where almost 50% of their budget goes to car ownership because thy are forced by circumstance. As I have said, Hyundai cars outdo or is at par for evey other Japanes model in the country in its category. The reason they find it hard to compete in sales volume here is that they are CBU units meaning higher tax thus higher price. 2nd main reason is that parts and supplies availability. Like dude, here in Mindanao, we had to wait for more than 2 months for the genuine ignition coils to arrive and replace the stock part of our 8-year old Hyundai Accent. We are not even talking about engine or transmission problem. But by all means, get a Stargazer if you can afford it and the ease of ownership in your area is not a problem (PMS, parts replacement and engine repair, etc.). I hope this clears things up. :)

I love the way you review, just chill, straightforward and detailed. Not only this one though, I've watch as well the BRV. There were no much technical terms and no too much unnecessary commentaries on the side. Which is great. In short, hindi nakaka-stress panoorin at pakinggan yung review. Cheers to more! Keep it up!

Great design inside and out. I like the physical buttons and storage cubies. I don't really need a huge screen. I prefer using my phone and phones are going to advance a lot faster than car touch screens. I wish they had lighter color interiors so that the cubies and handles are easier to find. With 3rd row I wish they had sliding doors. Sitting in the back tailgate open looks very comfy. Good Job on the Star Trekkker🤩!

I have honestly been hooked at seeing how many alternatives of REALLY spacious MPVs I had remembered being there are available in emerging markets such as, in this case, the filipino one! It is also nice seeing how the brands that are mist popular are -obviously- the south korean and japanese ones! Are even far there in those markets known for their reliability? :o

YOU BUY STARGAZER BEFORE IMPROVEMENT ...... THE DASHBOARD PANEL LOOK SO BAD.... MANY REVIEWER GIVE NEGATIVE POINT....YOU CAN SEE STARGAZER IMPROVEMENT WITH NAME "STARGAZER ESSENSIAL"
U do know that the dashboard doesn't actually block your view, at the camera angles just make it look like u can't see anything but look it yourself and talk to me

the engine bay design seems okay except for the ignition coils sitting behind, so medyo mahirap siya tanggalin pag kaylangan.. otherwise okay naman.. easily one of the best in the competition today. good job hyundai..
