I’ll give you The Office reference. But I counted 3, or 4 Love carries, where I thought he just hesitated way too long and I hit the hole. I was actually surprised to hear Tyler say what he said. Not that when Love DOES put his turning the ground and blast through, he does hit it hard… but it certainly wasn’t every carry. Obviously as a true freshman, I am in no way calling him out. You can tell he’s going to be very special.
Angeli will only get better the more he plays,he needs to stay at least this year get his degree and with the way Leonard plays and injury issues he is only on snap away from being the starter and depending on how leonard plays might be for the rest of the season
Angeli has done nothing but win. He won the last blue/gold game. He dominated every time he got a chance to play during the season. He then dominated as a starter in the bowl game while throwing with incredible accuracy, and while only making a few minor mistakes expected in one’s first start. Angeli has earned the starting spot going into Spring practice, and the position should be his to lose. I suspect if that is not the case he can play almost anywhere he wants after the Sun Bowl, but I hope he sticks around and leads ND to the playoffs and championship. Leonard will be a great option to have if Angeli goes down, but nothing in Leonard’s resume suggests to me that he is better than Angeli. Let’s see how this plays out.
@guildguitars6349 I totally agree the only thing Leonard has on him is size, angeli throws a better ball and can run when needed,he has put in his dues at ND and he should get the first look, unfortunately They paid Leonard a lot of money to come to ND and I think that is where there is a problem with NIL,they shouldn't get paid until they win the starting job,it will weed out kids that really don't want to compete, just seems if they get paid they are defacto starters, and that shouldn't be the case.
@@Outbound1219It’s unfortunate that a guy like Angeli, who was recruited to play at ND, and who really wants to play for ND, will likely have to make a choice between being a backup the rest of his time there, or transferring out and playing somewhere else. Especially when he has done nothing but succeed whenever given a chance. The system is broken, and the kids are the ones who suffer. Look at this season as a perfect example. They bring in Hartman to compete for a championship, and they don’t compete. I like Hartman a lot, and in no way do I fault him. I also give Hartman a huge amount of credit for opting out of the Sun Bowl in part to give Angeli a chance to shine, which he did. But Angeli beat Hartman head to head in the blue/gold game, and likely with a less talented team. There is no way to ever know, but in my humble opinion, Angeli could have won at least 9 games during the regular season, just as Hartman did. It’s a moot point now, but I really hope Angeli gets a fair shot next season. Your assessment of that likelihood is probably spot on.
I feel that Angeli should be the starting QB as he has shown coming into the game during regular season to have control of the offense and able to make plays and again in the Sun Bowl. Angeli looked like he has more command of the Offense than Sam Hartman whom Notre Dame paid to play at ND. Now Tyler is using the same excuse as B&G is using "EXPERIENCE OUTWEIGHS TALENT". Tyler has already made the comment that Leonard is not an accurate passer but has an arm. Well, Angeli has proven to have both with a missing roster during the Sun Bowl. As you can see all the credit is going to defense and no credit to Angeli as they are taking credit away with Oregon State not having all their team for the game. REALLY!!!!! Let's start developing these players as ND has a top 10 recruiting class for 2024 and a #1 recruiting class for 2025. Transfer portal is great if you are missing pieces. Stop bringing in QB's when you have recruited great talent like Angeli, Minchey, Carr and the list goes on because at some point you will be a team that has to go to the transfer portal for all players as they will go to teams that will play them. What do I know I am just a fan hoping to see ND playing for a Championship.
Hey Tyler just a note on production. The sound on your show has a bit of echo and seems a bit sensitive(picking up really quiet sounds from your mouth and breathing). Not sure if that's the room you're in or not mixing/mastering the sound but could be good to talk to someone in production. My only thoughts are add a plug in for a floor/ceiling and adjust the floor up until you cant hear those sensitive sounds/echo, or maybe a sound dampener to kind of flatten everything out. Hope this feedback does you well. You're my favorite irish media outlet on YT. Good luck man and GO IRISH!
Hey Tyler! Want to hear your thoughts on FSU possibly and USC going to B1G. I would think both will struggle in the midwest in late November. Is there something im missing? Thanks
I don't recall any ND penalties like illegal procedure or off sides which shows great mental preparedness for the entire team. Relatively mistake free game. BTW, enjoy the professional quality of your podcast.
Watts/Cross playing along with a majority of the defense shows how tight that group is. The pro/transfer portal exit of most of the offense shows the lack of leadership and brotherhood on that side of the ball. New OC will figure that out but to me it was very clear to see. Not the season hoped for but hey, way better than my father in law Gamecocks team!
Hey Tyler want to know your thoughts on USC joining the B1G and FSU rumored to go there? I have hardly heard anyone speak of both teams having to come to the Midwest in November. IMO both programs will struggle. Kind of great if you're a ND fan. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks
You are the best!

Twice!! 10 men twice!! Pray noting like that ever happens again.

@@Outbound1219he doesn’t have a better arm than Leonard and screw paying dues, Leonard gives them the best chance to win, that’s what matters
@@guildguitars6349book is the winningest QB in ND history and he wasn’t good enough. Angeli is the same thing.
Yeah, I'm sure Angeli's leap got him a good stern talking-to by Gino.

Would it be fun playing LSU in SB next year in the playoffs?
LSU isn't making the CFP in 24' IMHO.
