    Welcome to another episode of Thai Cooking Basics. Today, we're going to be learning how to make a popular and refreshing dish: salad rolls.
    Salad rolls, or Gỏi cuốn in Vietnamese, are a type of spring roll that is filled with a variety of fresh, crunchy ingredients. They're a popular snack in Thailand and are often served as an appetizer or as a light meal.
    To make salad rolls, you'll need a few key ingredients: rice paper wrappers, lettuce, cucumber, carrot, and your choice of protein, such as shrimp, tofu, or chicken. You'll also need a dipping sauce, such as peanut sauce or hoisin sauce, to serve on the side.
    To assemble the salad rolls, start by soaking a rice paper wrapper in warm water for a few seconds until it becomes pliable. Lay the wrapper on a flat surface and add a small amount of each ingredient in the center of the wrapper, leaving some space around the edges.
    Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and roll it up tightly, like a burrito. Repeat the process until you have made as many salad rolls as you desire.
    Serve the salad rolls with a side of dipping sauce and enjoy them as a refreshing and light snack. They're a delicious and healthy option that is perfect for any occasion.
