I saw this last week and I can honestly say it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. With the addition of ball culture and the stakes for survival so high, Cats finally has a center of gravity. All of the songs mean something now.
I’m a musical theater performer and apart of the ballroom culture so I didn’t understand how it was gonna work. It is one of the best shows in town and everyone agrees, it’s so smart and I commend them for thinking outside the box. It’s pretty brilliant!!!
Is it just me or does anybody else think they should have left this to the original staging with the actors dressed as cats. I certainly wouldn’t want to see this
I don't get it . Granted I've only seen small scenes like this but I don't get it . Why sing the song if it has nothing to do with what is happening onstage
