Bought a similar TRU Ball release last Summer, but never started using it regularly in part because it just seemed like twisting the D loop could torque the string/arrow. Seeing the close up of one in action 1:18 it appears the twisting of the D loop is more minimal than I expected (it is with that archer at least).
D loop twist/torque has little to no effect on accuracy. I’m sure you could make a tiny tiny tiny d loop to MAKE it have an effect but for 99.9 percent of the people on earth that won’t be the case. I’m not sure you could even make a d loop small enough
Also, if the GOAT was the Greatest of ALL TIME, then any other release they make is superfluous!!!! ROFL (called 'puffering' in legal circles - like the "best coffee in the world- See The movie ELF! lol)
@@nightbowhunter54 why exactly would you need/want a safety in the thumb activation mode? Taking your thumb off the barrel IS your safety. When u take your thumb off the barrel it will reset then and there
@@jwild5360 because, i bowhunt 50% in the night in late season ! Sometimes i have 2beanies, one headcover! And it has happened to me, sometimes, that in the dark when i draw, and make my anchorage! The clothes push my finger , and push accidentaly the trigger , and it was a dissaster! If i had a safety mechanism like that, i draw unworried! I know , that my finger is the safety , but, in the dark.. sometimes things happend!!
The hbx was the best release i ever owned. So what do They do.... quit making it. Trying to make more money by selling new and not better stuff is what they do
More mechanics so more things can go wrong. Target shooters prefer a simple hinge and hunters prefer the trigger one. The rest is just designed to attract novice shooters with $ or intermediate archers that usually tend to buy whatever looks cool.

Your weekend warriors are not even attempting to shoot a tension style release. These have been around since the hinge and TONS of guys on the circuit shoot one regularly to train. With your “more mechanics statement” I can only assume that you shoot a long bow with wooden arrows and fingers? No way your using a trigger activated release or a compound bow !!! Those crazy things have so much in them that could go wrong! Lol 🥱🥱 This tension style release has no more moving parts than any other trigger activated release.

No....You don't need a scale. I set one for use for this video with no scale. Just be sure you are always holding on target when you try it out. If it's set light, what will happen is the release will fire as soon as you squeeze the trigger, so if you treat it like it is a thumb trigger then you should be on target anyway. If you set it super heavy, then when you squeeze the trigger and start pulling, it just won't go off, and so you can hit the safety reset, let down and back out the adjustment screw to lighten the pressure.
Looks like stan element just more complicated functions thst im sure is easy but it really ugly no offense an it not about looks it's about performance buy my fulkrum flex is. Kool an my ultraview hinge is great an my ht it's the new need release. Lol

I like just how much adjustability this has. Lots of options. I need to try a tension release soon.

So this is a true pull through back tension release if you set it up that way and there's no need to move the wrist like you would with a hinge?

Not when you engage the trigger…..you feel it when you start pulling
Is The safety button work only for the tension mode? Or id also works for trigger mode??
