My VCI VHS of "Dark Star" doesn't have this, but it should've. Don't know why they'd cut out a cheesy logo like this with all of its cool synth sounds.
Never seen that one with the name before. It freaked out after watching the opening to "Movie For A Sunday Afternoon" on WCBS-TV (channel 2) back in 1988.
When I saw "Dark Star" in the description, I immediately thought WCBS too, it was on all the time on Channel 2. I would have probably remembered a logo as scary as this following the already creepy "Picture For A Sunday Afternoon" intro.
the beginning of the video sounds like the sound from *VHS_11-10-17_REC* that ivang made. the sound happens when we see the man in the kitchen in phase 1.
"But by the time the Texans sued Bryanston in May 1976, the company was apparently broke. Instead of forcing Bryanston into bankruptcy, the Texans settled for an out of court payment in February 1977 of $400,000 for their share of profits to that point, and to relinquish control of the movie." - The Shocking Truth: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre documentary when this logo showed.
this is false. The company was sued into oblivion and they had to shut down. Not to mention the fact that the founder was part of the mafia and most likely went to jail
The logo is scarier if you know the history of the company
What happened? All I know is that they were run by the mafia or ran by criminals or something like that.
@@DragonHeartHisMajestyX They indeed had high ranks as criminals, being president, Vice President and Secretary.
@@catslegacy11 Fuck.
@@DragonHeartHisMajestyX I had no idea you were gonna respond like that, but don’t worry, they were sued into oblivion in 1975-6.
@@catslegacy11 Yeah, I think I read about that before.
Never seen it un-cropped before!

This the company that first distributed the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 1974. They had ties to the mafia.
Trippy...
the beginning of the video sounds like the sound from *VHS_11-10-17_REC* that ivang made. the sound happens when we see the man in the kitchen in phase 1.
You Know i Did Not See This Before
Are there any prints of the original _Texas Chain Saw Massacre_ that still retain this logo?
Not sure.
BP. I think there's a movie about 2010 oil spill disaster.
The oil spill started years before this logo was made

This logo doesn't seem scary to me.
This logo is sassy as hell
Did they make any movies as good as this?
They distributed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The reason why you kept it "p" is because of paramount blocking your video
Did they make some martial arts flicks?
No
