Ahsante rafiki kwa kutazama yangu video. Congrats Bol Pasquale. You are doing great. It's not easy learning a new language. However, with close friends from Kenya or Tanzania, you will progress faster. I loved your last sentence but as an ardent Swahili teacher, I felt obliged to correct it. Remember in Swahili and all Bantu languages, we place the adjective after the noun. Therefore we say; Video yangu. Now your sentence - Ahsante rafiki kwa kutazama video yangu. Then there was a mistake in translating Day Two. We don't say Mchana Mbili. Yes, mchana means day time and usiku means night. However Day Two would be translated as Siku ya Pili. Kudos bro, keep it up. Personally, I teach Swahili, French, English and Persian. I love languages.
Beautiful language. I’m partly Japanese, partly Chinese, partly Indonesian, But funnily i can’t speak any of those languages 🤣 I’ve been learning Spanish and Turkish from Duolingo for a couple of years. Contemplating on starting Swahili 😬
Extraordinary progress and proud of you for letting the younger people around your age group know to learn a new language, we spend too much time wasted on videogames, social media, TV, etc. no problem with a little entertainment however with balance and consistency we can apply the same time we waste to learn something new....I'm 28 and definitely studying how to speak Swahili, Twi, and possibly Somali
Big up bro ! You rock ! I'm learning Swahili too since 2 months... (I learn 4 languages at the same time, with Duolingo + UA-cam). I'm 41, I love speaking and learning languages :)
Amazing video, i'm a language lover from Angola(Africa), and i will start my journey to learn swahili today, if somebody here know this wonderful language, answer this comment please, and maybe we can do a language exchange , i speak english, spanish and portuguese.
Habari yako? Ninafurahi. I moved to Tanzania from Canada five months ago. I have been trying to learn swahili since. Honestly, I am not happy with my progress. I get frustrated with my lack of progress. I am happy I came across your video. I will put your pointers into practice. Hopefully, I will improve. Asante Sana
if you're in Tanzania, all the better. especially if you get out of Dar and Arusha. i suggest "Simplified Swahili" by Peter Wilson. it's at most of the bookshops in Dar and Arusha.
It took me 6 weeks for a basic level and 6 months to learn all the deep stuff, which seem rarely used in everyday conversations, like aspect in relation to time. The first time I returned to Kenya, I felt disheartened as could not understand what was being spoken. Then it dawned on me, everyone around me was speaking Gigikuyu, duh!
Im learning Kisw for my Kenyan girlfriend in secret. What's more challenging to me is the lack of content for kids (ideal for beginners for me), I rely on Ubongo Kids which is really funny and cute but a bit too complex for me. I learned the numbers and the senses spontaneously tho and I don't feel the sound of the language as too fast or foreign anymore so Im making progress.
Helo. Am inspired by your video. Am also on the same path to mastering Swahili. Could you recommend me some channels or websites or necessary resources that can enable me learn easily and quickly. Thx
so, do you speak another Bantu language already? That would make it easier. Which similarities do you see between the Bantu language/s you speak and kiSwahili?
yeah. im also learning... but its not that fast. i got over 100 day on duolingo...im on a basic level my kenyan friend is kinda helping. Its not yhat simple like this guy is saying.
You can't learn Kiswahili in one month. It takes years to master noun class agreement alone. What you can do in that time is learn one month's worth of Kiswahili.
Don’t lie, Swahili came from the Arab Swahili traders that settled in Zanzibar the rest of us speak a dialect of Swahili, Congolese Swahili has more french words as opposed to Arabic
Swahili is mainly African Bantu, Arabic plus few words from various parts of the world like Spanish, Portuguese, German, English, Hindi. Etc. Counting 1-5 is Bantu while 6-9 is Arabic But 10s going to 1000 is mainly Arabic and Bantu ..Mia, Elfu is Arabic
Here's a challenge for you, bro! Swahili is widely spoken in Oman, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar. Under Omani leadership, Swahili took root and prospered. Much of Swahili is Arabic and has Islamic origins. So, will you accept Islam, bro? Embrace Islam now and you will be honouring this beautiful language. Let me know so I can help you in your testimony of faith. It will take less than five minutes.
@@tinam.3521 Islam is a beautiful and wholesome religion. It appeals to your heart, body and soul.
