its about character heights, for midsize its frameperfect which is why its so hard (just passing by doing research) Also this is way harder on some other ground, you should notice in Abyss its muuuch harder also didnt know you can do this wih loli chars, nice

I unfortunately have no idea if it's going to be patched, and I also quite recently learned about the Dragon Strike, which seems like a FAR superior and actually usable tech in comparison.

Thank you, even after 2 year this bug still work. But if you have 100+ms on your ping, its very hard to perform this attack. I notice you have 36ms only so it looks easier and can repeat it constantly, but mine sometimes doesnt work due to high ping (120ms to be precise)
Nope not fixed! Genshin is so technical with specific hitboxes and actually putting effort into making heights matter. Edit: It works on flat ground, but it's hard to see sometimes.

You can't perform a plunging attack from simply jumping in the same spot normally, but jumping from a drawn weapon stance used to give you the extra height needed to perform it in place. But it doesn't really matter now as this trick has been patched out seemingly.

Also works with chongyun but you have to wait a little longer and it’s often hard to do

the patch notes mention "after not hitting an enemy in standy weapon pose" or something like that so its probably not dragonstrike
just in case you haven't tried it yet, i already tried dragon strike in patch 1.4 and it still working

I can do this in phone with beidou too but not continues, i keep touching the jump button plus the attack but its not always happens
