Notice how the only issues that she faces beside her clunky gameplay is the unconsistant pyro application? That will be mauvika's role.... probably. I mean look at nahida back in 3.0, with the DMC and collei being the only dendro applicator back in the day, the only issue they faced is the range of sai application. Then Nahida comes and boom, not only she solves the range problem but also came with so much more to offer. Then, i rest my case.

I say potential because the options for off-field pyro units is quite slim at the moment. At the very least Mualani is not restricted to Xiangling. Dehya, Thoma, and even Xianyan could work as off-field pyro appliers. Hopefully Natlan provides more Pyro characters that aren't simply main DPS units, so Mualani can use them in her teams.

I was honestly having a blast noticing all the new mechanics in Natlan while watching this, particularly: - that you can "QTE" to the next Natlan character and have their skill immediately activate at the moment you switch to them - Nightsoul State and Burst mechanics - Overworld mobs (during the leyline farming section) now having more than 150k HP each as they can tank 1 of those 150k vape hits Mualani is dealing. Man, this is igniting my old excitement from the 1.x days 😂
I love how the new characters can change up the meta! 🤩 Can't wait to try building Mualani; her skills look super fun to use! Also, that Code for free stuff is a nice bonus! 🎉
Buff to Xiangling? Mualani is doing more dmg than her in any team variant with her around. If anything, Xiangling is easily replaceable in Mualani vape comps. Especially when Mavuika rolls around.

If there's anything we can learn from a unit "replacing" an older unit, it's just gonna be a substitute, or maybe even a good character to pair up with, take Xingqiu and Yelan for example

with the anniversary, the new 55/45 and how generous they are being + Mavuika coming in 5.3 theres plenty of resources and time to get yourself both a Mualani and a Mavuika. Im gonna do that + also farming and saving for Xilonen rerun somewhere in 5.7 she'll probably be a good support for mualani but she's coming right after her in 5.1
we might actually need an updated DPS showdown for all elements when World Level 9 comes live .. we have tougher world bosses and new dps characters too so, i bet its time
She was already my fav of the shown character sprites, but Nao Touyama gives her so much character AND she also seems to be the best char for exploration so now she is by far my fav

REMEMBER she's a single target, against multiple targets Neuvillette easily clears. Kinda like Yoimiya, while she deals good damage, it's single target, soooo an abyss with buffed mini bosses would be a nightmare

I really like Mualani's design and gameplay, I'm personally gonna run her with dehya, C2 Lynette (I don't have sucrose) and C2 mona. I'm at pity and I have her guaranteed so I hope I'm able to get her weapon with the 5.0 rewards

@@mohmedabdo4681no, she's not single target. That's a misconception from beta. Neuvillete will of course be better in AoE, but Mualani is still very very good in AoE and no where near as single target focused as yoimiya or even HuTao
