The backs are good, but the plastic is too flexible for the font, that's what causes the pins to come out, if you have got them in the front just keep an eye on them, didn't just happen to me but everyone i know that had them
Yes that brought them out around the time i did this video, you do still need to buy the over sized bearing with the Traxxas hubs though as they dont come with them
Newer X-Maxx owners can upgrade their trucks just by adding the 7832 caster & 7836 steering blocks and reusing their existing bearings. Owners with older X-Maxxes can purchase the 7836X upgrade kit that includes both the steering & caster blocks and larger bearings.
I bet it is cold in Canada, get some paddle tires on and have fun in the snow 😂 just get the traxxas upgraded hub and the larger bearings, far better than the RPM ones that don’t even fit, you have to mod them to fit
They best hub upgrade so far for me is the newest Xmaxx 8s upgraded hub. Part #7737X with the bigger inner bearings like the rear RPM hubs. That's what I did! Great bash as usual!
I would check your front hubs, everyone i know that had the RPM ones has had this same issue when bashing hard, Rear RPM are fi e and still use them, Traxxas have the upgraded new Hubs that now take the bigger bearing and have more beef around the whole hub, nit broken one yet
Indeed, Traxxas now ship all the new Xmaxx with the upgraded front and rear hubs with the bigger bearing, the hubs are also beefier than the old ones, if you do break one make sure the part you order has the X on the end

Xmaxx is just a great all round RC, it doesnt handle as well as a K8 or O8 round the track, but boy can it take a beating at jumping and general bashing
Is just helps with all the load from this big car, the stock bearings lose the shields real quick, normally on the very first run of a new Xmaxx, and as the bearings are small they break down real quick and you need to keep replacing.
Rears are fine, its the front ones - go have a check on yours, if you bashing to any hard amount then this will very likely be happening as its happened to everyone I know that had them
Like with anything in life, if it's beyond your skillset, you're gonna break it. Nothing 1:1 can even get close to how durable our cars are, so I guess.. the parts only really break when they're stressed beyond reason
This is very true, its amazing what an RC car can do these days, sadly though the RPM hubs failed due to the soft material they are made from, they didnt actually break in the sense of being bashed hardm they just flex to much so the pin then works itself loose, not to mention they didnt actually fit and had to be dremmeled to fit, the area dremmeled had no effect on the pins working loose. Love RPM parts but these were a big fail
Don’t worry Rpm will refund you or send new parts. Rpm is all I use and all I’ll ever use. Never broke anything rpm. They will fix that hub or sell nut and bolt kits for it.
I live in the UK, shipping will cost a bucket load, they don't do free shipping on warranty stuff, so outside the USA the warranty is worthless as cheaper to buy a new part than the cost of the shipping. Don't think nut and bolts kits will work, the issue is the plastic just flexes too much for this application. Not knocking RPM as they do make some fantastic products, love the bumpers and the arms etc, its just this one doesnt work.
@@HardcoreRC I’m sorry to hear that, that sucks and very unfortunate. I know traxxas stuff isn’t too bad, especially the HD parts I believe they are called. I think they are special for Xmaxx. No body is copying anyone, so we cant say Boom every now and then ?? music on pretty much most UA-cam channels all comes for the same places Epidemic Sounds so that it doesn't get hit with copyright infringements. i have heard Kev use a track we used to use a lot and he never used before, does that mean he has copied us ? no of course it doesnt. We know Kev fairly well and meet up a hell of a lot, sadly with the number of youtube channels out there no one is unique and if you look everyone will have similar bits.
I am flabbergasted that RPM still has not addressed this issue. It has been going on for far too long for them not to pay attention to what people are saying about it. It makes absolutely no sense that they keep selling Shardae products for any amount of money it doesn’t make sense you guys are your large company get back to the drawing board please!
They also dont fit when you buy then. you have to shave them down to make them fit or your servo would burn out trying to turn the wheels. Really dont think there is anything that RPM can do about the issue though, its all due to how flexible the plastic is that RPM use, it flexes to much and as such the pin then pops out, it then tries to go back in but likely misses and starts to break down the plastic round the hole until it looks like it does on our video, know a number of people this has happened to. The good news is that Traxxas have finally released upgraded front and rear hubs

Sorry I'm not sure what you are saying, i did try to translate but even that wasn't clear - sorry
You mean the 'Worlds BEST RC Car' needs upgrades?
Apparently so 😂😂
They all do
@@tenncutt Indeed they do, i don't know one that doesn't need an upgrade of some sort
I bash my xmaxx hard and my car only got broken bearings but it still runs. Thats a Pretty nice weakpoint haha

Yep, its really hard not to like an Xmaxx 👍

Back to normal 👍👍
It's funny how everyone is copying Kevin Talbot. You say boom like he does, kind of the same music, and same delivery as Kevin.
Love the XMAXX it's definitely a BEAST
8:40 Crack kills 😁😂🤣
Nice bashing vid love it 🔥👍✌️
Love the Xmaxx for its ability to just be abused 😂😂 poor Alex, i couldn't help it when i saw the crack 😂😂
@@HardcoreRC That was hilarious 😁😂🤣
Are you hungry? 😂😂😂😂😂
Had to be done 😂😂
These rpm hubs suck in the front don’t buy them 👍👍
They do suck, shame as i love the RPM products as a whole, but this just plain dont work, im just glad Traxxas finally brought these new ones out
@@HardcoreRC can’t u do me a favor and send me the Traxxas part number cause I can’t find them ?? Thank u
@@justincase948 The part number is in the description, link to where you can get from if in the UK is also in description and the part number is shown in the video - but here you go its part 7737X
Nice ugger dugger hahaha 🤪
Thanks, although not really an udder dugger as its not an impact, just a cordless screwdriver / drill, it is good though 👍
