Also, see the following comment from Ashton: "Set" is the term commonly used for the pledging sessions. So when a brother calls you during the day he will tell you to be at a certain spot for "set" at a certain time. After doing some research, "Set" was an Egyptian god, known to be the god of violence, chaos, and destruction who killed his brother. This spirit of violence, chaos, and destruction is exactly what a set/pledging session is filled with.

Oooh! La La, they use that term in gang terminology too. “What set you rep?”. It’s like the enemy is coming for you whether you’re trying to educate yourself or if you fall through the cracks and drop out.
On the surface you see Greek life and gangs very differently, but the enemy is in the details of both. That is very scary. Thank you so much for the message/life.

I denounced Phi Beta Sigma in around in 2019. I crossed at Jackson State University in Spring 96 with my biological brother. I was saved in college but backslid while there and wanted to pledge because I wanted the whole college experience. I got commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Army and moved to Fort Sill, OK. While there I was invited to a church basketball game by a former classmate at JSU and there was an alter call. It was then I rededicated my life back to God. I would wear my paraphernalia at church and my friend who invited me to the basketball game would tell me “How could still be in this organization and still be a Christian?” I wouldn’t stop wearing it because I saw nothing wrong with it. Until on day I head God say, “ Will you do this for me?” It touched my heart so much because I threw away everything and started speaking out about it. This is paganism and something God hates.
My boyfriend is in the same Fraternity and I try my best to open his eyes to things he considers himself a God fearing christian but See's nothing wrong. When ever I voice my opinion on it he gets mad and very defensive

Wow loving your channel. My mom told me to never join a sorority. She was never in it, but when she was in college, her roommate was the line leader and my mom witnessed her slap a freshman who was pledging all because she didn’t fold her laundry “correctly.” So much toxicity in these sororities. I never knew about how truly demonic it was until recently. Thank you and Ashton for speaking the truth!
AMENN what an amazing testimony, and thank you for sharing !! I went to an HBCU, and felt the PRESSURE/desire to pledge a sorority, my ex boyfriend in college is a Kappa, and I even helped him throughout his whole process. I didn't have the GPA for undergrad (thankfully lol) , so when I graduated I decided I was going to join a grad chapter. I got saved 1 year after I graduated college BTW....so one day I was going to do research on how to go about joining a grad chapter through youtube because I did not know anyone personally. The FIRST video The Lord put on my homepage was about a Christian women denouncing her sorority and why. I completely changed my mind from that day forward, and lost all desire to join a sorority . Thank the Lord Jesus!!

I am so glad that you are posting these videos and speaking out about Greek life of fraternities and sororities. When I was in college I wanted to pledge because i wanted to be a part of something that made me feel accepted and important, I knew nothing about fraternities and sororities. But as time went on and I saw pledges and what they had to go through and everything such a secret, if the organization was about service then why such a secret, it didn't add up. So one night I was at one of the fraternities party on campus and I was dancing and having a good time when suddenly out of no where I look up and see a light and I heard a voice say " Come out from among them". I left the party feeling perplexed but at the same time, I felt it was God speaking to me. I didn't know much back then but I had a strange feeling about pledging a sorority. I never pledged and I'm glad I didn't. After listening to your post and the different testimonies of those that have renounced and left the fraternity or sorority and the exposure of what they are really about, I see that God was protecting me and ordering my steps. I really appreciate all you do and your Chanel, continue to share and spread the gospel, May God bless you and I pray that these videos will open blinded eyes, set captives free, and deliver those that are bond by the enemy.

Thank you for this video. I found your channel last year as a suggestion from YT bc I'm always watching denouncement videos. I have seen soooo many denouncement videos. I absolutely love to watch them bc they educate me on something that has been an issue in my life since I can remember. My mother is a Delta and she was the first person in our very large family to go to college and to pledge. Now, so many of my family members have multiple degrees and are members of D9 while professing to be devout Christians. So, watching these denouncement videos has been really educational, helping me try to understand how Believers reconcile being "Greek" and walking with God. I have shared these videos with friends and family and they refuse to let these orgs go. In fact, it seems like they have ramped up their activities even more. I even have a friend who has a DST Bible cover wrapped around her Bible. It is red with the huge letters embroidered right on the front and she has her Bible encased in that. Whew. It is just so disturbing and I know it is bc I know the truth bc of videos like these.
But, this one was different in some way. I just love the way Ashton explained his journey and I particularly loved his refreshing tie-in to the Word. He shared Scripture that I don't usually hear in denouncement videos. I just don't see how anyone can have a true relationship with God and continue being in these orgs after watching this video. The delivery was so compelling. Thank you so much for this viewing experience.
Recently, I stopped following Erica Campbell of Mary Mary bc I was flabbergasted that as a Christian, a pastor's wife, a gospel artist that she took her almost 50 year old self and bowed down in a dark room and went into covenant with AKA. I was appalled and I still am. Fantasia had done it a few weeks prior with SGR and she too claims to love the Lord so much. How? How do they bow down and say these oaths and not feel how grieved Holy Spirit is? They are fully grown, not young adults in college. And there are very popular pastors who are preaching in the pulpit in paraphernalia. Last month was HBCU month at a lot of Baptist churches and I saw pastors repping their orgs at church. I saw one church whose pastor is an Alpha, dedicate a post on IG honoring the Alphas' Founders' Day on their page bc their pastor is one. My jaw dropped. Some churches have become so carnal now but it is no wonder bc so-called Christians are promoting "Greek" affiliation just as much as or more than (in many cases) they "promote" Christ.
Please keep spreading and declaring the truth. I pray that more and more followers of Christ will come out from among them.

Thank you for this and also mentioning the celebs that have joined the D9. I was hurt when I saw Erica Campbell and Fantasia join and the amount of so many celebs and pastors who are apart of these organizations is so disheartening which explains the falling away of many ministries. Many don't know and understanding the deep rooted ties that are up there with freemasonry and the boule. Late pastor Stephen Darby preached a sermon about Greek organizations and the Boule. Very powerful.

I remember as far back as 1998, there was a particular sorority that I wanted to be apart of so bad. It was all I talked about and everybody that knew me knew that it was what I wanted more than anything. I pursued it for 10 years and God continued to block it and I couldn't understand why. Of course, I was very frustrated and pissed off but it's not until years later that I understand why now because He was protecting me from the unknown demonic spirits that's attached to these organizations. I also remember back in 2010 that I was on line for another sorority but I was the only one that got dropped from the line and everybody crossed. But it was my mouth that got me dropped and now I know that it was the Lord that allowed it to happen. Praise the Lord! 😊😊😊😊😊

This is actually the third video I've watched over the last couple of days. I must say this video has left a heavy impression on me and in me. I crossed Phi Beta Sigma in 2015. Ashton has made an impression on me that I can't explain. His testimony is powerful. It appears I need to have a conversation with God. Praises to the Most High God! I thank God for giving you both the strength to denounce and and break those strongholds. We have been oppressed for so long, so much so that we think that these sororities and fraternities are a link to true brother and sisterhood. However, the enemy has once again found a tactic to kill, steal and destroy. We must all ask God for the ability to discern. These fake gods were created for evil and instead of learning the truth in whence this came, we embrace it as though this was created for us. Not true! Love this channel and that the Lord has brought me here for encouragement to remember there are more with us than against us. I denounced Zeta in 2016 but left some Door ways open and almost went back. Coming back to live in the Bible Belt i almost got pulled in since this idolatry is so rampant in the church. Praise the Lord for his faithfulness. I pray I’m able to share this testimony if you don’t already have a Zeta one lined up.

Amen! This is what God revealed to me about denouncing AKA…it’s primarily to help those who feel they missed out. God convicted me to share my testimony at a church afterwards, the female pastor told me i set that desire free in her. She secretly always wanted to join one but always felt uneasy about doing so. The details of my testimony helped set her free

I thank God that He is STILL speaking to His people to COME OUT from among these fraternities and sororities. In 1996, the Holy Spirit called me to come COMPLETELY OUT of the sorority I was affiliated with. It was just before my line's 10 year anniversary, around homecoming celebrations. Back then there was no social media, UA-cam and as a "new" Christian I did not fully understand why God was calling me out. There were many Christians even Pastors that I knew who were a part of these fraternities and sororities. I thought God was "picking on" me at first; nevertheless, I obeyed God and came out and "spiritual" understanding came later.
I praise God 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 that He is the SAME yesterday, today and forever more. Captives are being set FREE!!!

I’m currently in the process of denouncing. Ashton had me taking NOTES the whole time! God is truly calling his children to come out of agreement/covenant with any and everything that is not of Him. We HAVE to obey.

People, including myself, have spoken to both of these individuals about this matter. I remember going to “Step Shows” at UCLA and San Diego State and seeing the rivalry between the Sigmas and Kappas at the show. My friend commented, “they seem like a bunch of organized gang bangers to me” and that image stuck with me and this was back in the late 1980’s early 90’s.

Ashton is a Minister at my church First Cathedral. This needs to be preached! Nothing wrong being a part of an organization that serves the public. But I hear so many comments where they call out these organizations for giving them the ability to participate. The ability comes from God, not the organization. It's dangerous ground they're treading on. And there's so much more I've seen recently and it's concerning.

I’ve been hooked on this series. Ironically, I saw a license plate yesterday that said “ALOHA MEMBER FOR LIFE” and I thought they don’t even try to hide it. It’s explicitly telling you that you are signing your LIFE to an organization. Crazy.
I remember someone asking me if I was going to pledge in college and I couldn’t understand why people will allow others to treat them like slaves to join their gang. I absolutely hated when they came to the parties because I thought it was weird. My spirit never felt comfortable around them and I now know why. Plus the term Greeks was weird because they’re not. Plus I was born and raised in Africa so being black and being called a Greek was weird to me. I am glad people are speaking out against this. They’re out here stealing innocent and impressionable souls. God bless you for speaking out and denouncing them.

You’re wrong. It’s not a gang. Research the amount of community service that’s done. Research the amount of funds that goes to St.Jude. Research the amount of families we feed and kids we help provide life training too. I just was apart of a committee that taught kids CPR and Stop the Bleed (140 kids). One ☝🏽 day I bumped into many videos on denouncing sororities/fraternities. I've never been in a sorority, but I know many people who are. I even forwarded one video to a friend. I know for sure she does not consider me a friend because I once obeyed God by confronting her about her homosexual lifestyle a while back. Since then, that friendship was over. Here I was again sending a video about denouncing sorority! I knew that God wanted me to send it to her. God showed me how much she loves the Lord, but she is entangled. Please pray for her. And for me too as I'll continue to be her friend even from afar.

One year at my HBCU, on the first night of pledging, there were 17 SCROLLERS! The next morning? 2!

This is why I am so grateful that I didn’t pledge when I was in college back in the 90s. These organizations are supposed to be built on a Christian foundation and principles but the actions are satanic. Praise God for Ashton and his testimony.

Fraternities and sororities served a very important purpose when they were first established in 1906. My observation is that things have changed over the years. I compare that change to the game of telephone. It's hard for organizations to stay relevant and maintain their original purpose past 100 years. All of that, coupled with one's spiritual awakening, makes for an interesting mix of self-reflection and reconsideration.
The church was already established before the orgs.. so there was really no need.

I always thought about being apart of a sorority because I used to step and that's what attracted me to it. I have a cousin who is a Delta and I noticed that she became isolated from her family/friends and I didn't know why until I found out she was pledging. The only benefit I see from joining these organizations are the connections you make that can help you get a job or whatever you are trying to do. But I never really knew what people had to go through to get into it. Hazing still happens and it's definitely them breaking you down which I personally think it's degrading/demeaning and that's not of God period🎯🎯
Girl no one gave me a job. Lol 😂 The Lord was always my provider. That is the issue too. Relying on someone else to be your provision due to a network when God can walk you into your destiny.
It is also not of God having connections to get you jobs when others are more qualified.
I literally just denounced on July 4, 2023 so thank you for sharing your story and speaking the TRUTH.

This is the thing, if God and the Holy Spirit led you to denounce an organization, then why would someone get upset or become angry and hostile towards the one that once was apart of them; if this organization was really of God?
It makes, no sense at all.
