I took the oath in my youth. I am 60. This has been an internal battle for me. The oaths are very serious and cover you as a member whether or not you know what you were doing because these are principalities we are playing with. I denounce the Oath because who can say that to swear one's life to anything but God the Highest is right? if only the Orgs would come out and into the light and repent to God for what we have done. It is extremely painful but you must DIE to sin (idols). Sin is always shrouded by the image of do-gooding and fraternity...now so-called "elite" status over others. We need this pastor and others to help bring it to light. It is so deep. The Illuminati (global elite) depend upon the educated masses of Blacks to remain under control - the simulation of the skull and crossbones.... For it's not my sins that condemns me to hell. It's the rejection of the provision, Jesus Christ, that condemns me. He is the only acceptable solution to all my sins. And because God loves me He gives me the free will to choose. Not be a robot. But He tells me how to avoid Hell. And He sends people through out my life with His message on how to avoid hell.
Why is this being critical but when non pastors denounce/ renounce and give his or her reasons they are praises for it… make it make sense. In nutshell we should have no other gods before us, we can’t serve 2 masters. That’s why we should constantly stay uplifted in prayer and listen to the Holy Spirit.

Wow it's just so ridiculous all the inferences that really only support why he should not be in a fraternity or sorority since he believes this is what those things represent today. Perhaps he needs to watch less of these kinds of movies. They seem to be over-emphasized in his life. John 12:32 says, "If I be lifted up from the earth: I'll draw." Not impose interpretations on what other people are doing and call it idolatry. Almost anything in our lives can become an idol. Some people have joined organizations for the wrong reason and have it placed in the wrong hierarchy in their lives. Some people not everyone. If denouncing that puts them closer to the father, I'm for it, but that doesn't mean it's true for everyone. God will tell you if something is out of line. Money can be an idol. Degrees can be an idol. Your woman or man or child or mother can be an idol. Stay prayed up in the word and put the Father first and you will be just fine.

Absolutely! I prayed before joining the organization and God released me to proceed. I was already in the middle of my spiritual journey and didn't want any distractions or to get out of God's will. Since I joined, I have had to sit out on engaging in alot, as I am still in my spiritual process & preparation for the call on my life. I know that God was in the creation of the organization I am part of. As someone who became a member later in life, I have also seen a lot of the ugly, idolatrous, demeaning, and negative behavior. I didn't have that experience entering. I see a lot of messages about denouncing and even leaders saying someone is not saved if they're in a sorority or fraternity. I think these individuals are in error & need to tread lightly when they don't have a heaven or hell to throw people in or out of. The Holy Spirit is powerful and for those who truly seek, hear and adhere to both the voice & Word of God, they can hear instruction from on high about all matters of their life, including whether it's in God's will for them to be a member of Greek letter organizations. Do I believe God would call a person to denounce and leave their organization? ABSOLUTELY! Do I believe God is telling ever Christian to denounce their membership? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Some people may need to denounce because their identity is in their organization and not in who they are in Christ. But, there are countless other entities that we within the Body of Christ find our identity in including church roles, careers, degrees, parenting roles, spousal roles, etc. God may also require you to denounce your membership if you elevate the organization in the place where only God should be. Does it come before your prayer & devotional life, obeying God & doing His will? Then, He may tell you it has to GO! But, this can also apply to other things we elevate to the position where ONLY God should be. I want to caution some of you who are denouncing and God did NOT lead you to do this. You just might be abandoning your post where God wants to use you to enact change, realignment or correction within the organization, chapter or regional entity! Imagine if Daniel left his Babylonian assignment because everyone was not holy or aligned with his Kingdom lifestyle. He would have abandoned his post & the impact he had on the King and that region after they witnessed what the God of Daniel did on his behalf. Continue to seek truth. And, most importantly follow God's lead on what to do. As we know, Jesus himself found himself in settings and walking with comrades that were deemed unacceptable by the Pharises, Sadducees & religious community. But, God had a bigger plan that actually required what others deemed unholy, unacceptable & abhorrent.

I didn't grow up in church, but when I got saved in my 20's I always wondered how in the world "saved folk" could be in fraternities & sororities?!! It literally baffled me.....especially seeing how their rituals mock the Lord. I was never dumb enough to fall for anyone telling me i had to join their group to do good things in this world. The devil is a liar!!! Everything on this planet (save the things of God), are steeped in Satanism, even the emblems on our cars. I pray our people stop being so foolish & serve Christ in Spirit AND TRUTH.
We were invited to edge a sorority ar a well-known wealthy traditionally white school. Our pledging primarily involved some volunteer work, fun activities, and making a modestly-priced gift for our respective big sister. When I attended a HBCU, I was appalled at the slave-like condutions entailed in their pledging rituals. I wondered how could the descendants of slave and they themselves the victims of systemic racism could force slave-like condtions on their pledges??? Add to that the fact that colorism is still practiced in some chapters. Specifically, the last step pledges must undergo is to pass the paperbag test. I never wanted to be a part of such filth.
Because... If you can receive eternal life the moment that you get saved, but then there is something that can happen to it later on down the line (in the future), then that what you got at first was not eternal in the first place.

So as a member of a fraternity I reject most of what is being presented as facts in this thread… I do however agree that a fraternity association could become idolized and replace the devotion that is reserved for God alone… as would fandom, and musical choices, cultural influences, heck even a child or pet… and the big one in these United States; money, power, attention have all become distractions and havens for idol worship… so while I wholeheartedly disagree with the premise that a Fraternal organization is idolizing a group over God, I can see how the behavior and actions of some support this view… be blessed!
You are right. All of those things can definitely take the place of God and be idols. But you can't neglect to mention that these organizations literally have "Gods" that they say oaths to. That is idolatry period.

Just because a 2-hour sermon was devoted to misinformation doesn't justify the content. He connected so much from the old testament but failed to discuss the forms of idolatry in the church. My grandfather was a mason and my grandmother was an eastern star. My father told me that they tried to get him to join but when he felt it was demonic so he never did it. He became a Christian and I learned a lot from him. GOD was in my life since I was a small child. He came to me when I was around 3 years old. I thank GOD for saving me and my dad and my lineage from spiritual wickedness.

Back in college, I wanted to in a fraternity so bad! But that door never opened for me. There was always something that got in the way. What’s interesting though is, almost all of my family members are part of Greek organizations, mostly AKAs and Alphas. They’re all very successful people, and they’re also Christians. My mom and sister are both AKAs. My dad wasn’t in a Greek organization, but he was a Mason. I find myself wondering why God chose me to keep me from all that stuff. Why does God allow so many of my family members to join these organizations and also do well in life, meanwhile, I’m over here struggling to find my way through life???🤔🤷🏽♂️ Don’t get me wrong, with the information I have now, I’m actually glad I never joined these Greek organizations, just wondering why God closes that door for some of us.
That’s a natural response that many of us deal with. For me, I deal with this by reasoning that maybe our Father truly knows our hearts… and unless some of us aren’t kept in a humble state, we will not make it. Our period when we are successful won’t be here on this earth but with Him through eternity. Pray this helps but that depends on what is more important to you.

It’s always amuses me how many in the church likes to talk about fraternities and sororities. The trinity comes from Osiris, Isis and Horus and the church likes to deny it. The faith itself comes from the sacred writings of the Egyptians. There is idolatry in the church: The dove, the cross, the lamb, the Christian Flag and pictures. If you study the holidays of the church all of them come from what is considered pagan origins. The helmets are not pointing to the east. The pastor is ignorant in his knowledge. What about the oaths of the military , CIA and FBI. Let talk about that as well. Question: Are the people following Christianity or Christendom?

God never said that the Sabbath was on a Saturday! He just simply said you may work 6 days then rest on day 7. The original Hebrew calendar did not have any such things as days of the week. God's commandment was independent of the calendar. He never said that "you shall start your work week on Sunday and therefore your day of rest shall be on Saturday! "😮. The Babylonians developed the 7 day calendar week and eventually the days of the week. The Hebrews later adopted it as it worked well with God's Sabbath day commandment and Saturday just happen to be the 7th day based on how the Babylonians designed their calendar and named the days of their week. Sunday became the first day of the week because they ordered them according to how fast the planets appeared to move in the sky. The Sun was the fastest so it became the first day. Had they decided to start with the slowest planet (Saturn) then Saturday would have been the 1st day and Sunday the 7th day. However, Christians are not "under" the Old Testament Law; which includes the Law of the Sabbath. As Christians when we accept Jesus Christ we enter into his rest as he is our eternal rest/Sabbath! We cease from our own personal pursuits and rest in the will of God; so "everyday" for a true Christian is a Sabbath day. Jesus is Lord over the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made "for man" and not "man for the Sabbath". Therefore, from a human standpoint you should not be working 7 days a week! You actually physically need a day of rest! But since we are not "under" the Sabbath law, other work schedules are not a sin but they won't be "the best" schedule for your body! Believe me I worked "swing shift" at a power plant and I didn't know if I were coming or going and whether it was night or day! 😊😂 Be Blessed! Amen!

I’m a member of Alpha Phi Alpha and a lot of the stuff he said about our crest was not correct.. Pledging Alpha were never worship any false God’s and we actually prayed a lot while going through our process.. We were taught what everything means on our crest and due to him not pledging he doesn’t know what the crest mean to our fraternity.

I took the oath in my youth. I am 60. This has been an internal battle for me. The oaths are very serious and cover you as a member whether or not you know what you were doing because these are principalities we are playing with. I denounce the Oath because who can say that to swear one's life to anything but God the Highest is right? if only the Orgs would come out and into the light and repent to God for what we have done. Jesus is the fulfillment of the Sabbath. Therefore we take our “rest” from works as we place our faith in Him. However, there’s nothing inherently wrong with observing a sabbath for rest and rejuvenation. But, it’s not a “legal requirement”.

Absolutely! I prayed before joining the organization and God released me to proceed. I was already in the middle of my spiritual journey and didn't want any distractions or to get out of God's will. Since I joined, I have had to sit out on engaging in alot, as I am still in my spiritual process & preparation for the call on my life. I know that God was in the creation of the organization I am part of. As someone who became a member later in life, I have also seen a lot of the ugly, idolatrous, demeaning, and negative behavior. I didn't have that experience entering. I see a lot of messages about denouncing and even leaders saying someone is not saved if they're in a sorority or fraternity. I think these individuals are in error & need to tread lightly when they don't have a heaven or hell to throw people in or out of. The Holy Spirit is powerful and for those who truly seek, hear and adhere to both the voice & Word of God, they can hear instruction from on high about all matters of their life, including whether it's in God's will for them to be a member of Greek letter organizations. Do I believe God would call a person to denounce and leave their organization? ABSOLUTELY! Do I believe God is telling ever Christian to denounce their membership? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Some people may need to denounce because their identity is in their organization and not in who they are in Christ. But, there are countless other entities that we within the Body of Christ find our identity in including church roles, careers, degrees, parenting roles, spousal roles, etc. God may also require you to denounce your membership if you elevate the organization in the place where only God should be. Does it come before your prayer & devotional life, obeying God & doing His will? Then, He may tell you it has to GO! But, this can also apply to other things we elevate to the position where ONLY God should be. I want to caution some of you who are denouncing and God did NOT lead you to do this. You just might be abandoning your post where God wants to use you to enact change, realignment or correction within the organization, chapter or regional entity! Imagine if Daniel left his Babylonian assignment because everyone was not holy or aligned with his Kingdom lifestyle. He would have abandoned his post & the impact he had on the King and that region after they witnessed what the God of Daniel did on his behalf. Continue to seek truth. And, most importantly follow God's lead on what to do. As we know, Jesus himself found himself in settings and walking with comrades that were deemed unacceptable by the Pharises, Sadducees & religious community. But, God had a bigger plan that actually required what others deemed unholy, unacceptable & abhorrent.

Our pledging primarily involved some volunteer work, fun activities, and making a modestly-priced gift for our respective big sister. When I attended a HBCU, I was appalled at the slave-like condutions entailed in their pledging rituals. I wondered how could the descendants of slave and they themselves the victims of systemic racism could force slave-like condtions on their pledges??? Add to that the fact that colorism is still practiced in some chapters. Specifically, the last step pledges must undergo is to pass the paperbag test. I never wanted to be a part of such filth.

So as a member of a fraternity I reject most of what is being presented as facts in this thread… I do however agree that a fraternity association could become idolized and replace the devotion that is reserved for God alone… as would fandom, and musical choices, cultural influences, heck even a child or pet… and the big one in these United States; money, power, attention have all become distractions and havens for idol worship… so while I wholeheartedly disagree with the premise that a Fraternal organization is idolizing a group over God, I can see how the behavior and actions of some support this view… be blessed!
You are right. All of those things can definitely take the place of God and be idols. But you can't neglect to mention that these organizations literally have "Gods" that they say oaths to. That is idolatry period.

He became a Christian and I learned a lot from him. GOD was in my life since I was a small child. He came to me when I was around 3 years old. Back in college, I wanted to in a fraternity so bad! But that door never opened for me. There was always something that got in the way. What’s interesting though is, almost all of my family members are part of Greek organizations, mostly AKAs and Alphas. They’re all very successful people, and they’re also Christians. My mom and sister are both AKAs. My dad wasn’t in a Greek organization, but he was a Mason.
I find myself wondering why God chose me to keep me from all that stuff. Why does God allow so many of my family members to join these organizations and also do well in life, meanwhile, I’m over here struggling to find my way through life???🤔🤷🏽♂️
Don’t get me wrong, with the information I have now, I’m actually glad I never joined these Greek organizations, just wondering why God closes that door for some of us.
That’s a natural response that many of us deal with. For me, I deal with this by reasoning that maybe our Father truly knows our hearts… and unless some of us aren’t kept in a humble state, we will not make it. Our period when we are successful won’t be here on this earth but with Him through eternity. Pray this helps but that depends on what is more important to you.

It’s always amuses me how many in the church likes to talk about fraternities and sororities. The trinity comes from Osiris, Isis and Horus and the church likes to deny it. The faith itself comes from the sacred writings of the Egyptians. There is idolatry in the church: The dove, the cross, the lamb, the Christian Flag and pictures. If you study the holidays of the church all of them come from what is considered pagan origins. The helmets are not pointing to the east. The pastor is ignorant in his knowledge.

I awoke this morning hearing this scripture. I do not follow this church..but today this shows up in my feed. Though I have not taken this oath..I have loved ones who have. I'm very thankful to God for leading me here today. God bless Pastor Fred Price Jr for his faithfulness to God and the word of God.❤❤❤

This was an excellent teaching! The popularity of all of these entities would try to make it seem that there was nothing wrong with them. The last time I heard extensive teaching like this was in the 90s when our overseer, apostle,, Dr. Clifford E Turner taught this at my church.

People often forget that the Fraternities and Sororities are not the church nor do they have a heaven or hell to put someone in. In other words nothing Supercedes God Almighty. This is explained before joining the Organizations

A lot of people follow these pastors who are in organizations. I was once blinded by this but now, I’d never follow sometime who is in these organizations because how you gone lead Gods people’s and you don’t realize you’re lost?

Deuteronomy 13:6-11
[6]If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
[7]Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
[8]Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
[9]But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
[10]And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

God never said that the Sabbath was on a Saturday! He just simply said you may work 6 days then rest on day 7. The original Hebrew calendar did not have any such things as days of the week. God's commandment was independent of the calendar. He never said that "you shall start your work week on Sunday and therefore your day of rest shall be on Saturday! "😮. The Babylonians developed the 7 day calendar week and eventually the days of the week. The Hebrews later adopted it as it worked well with God's Sabbath day commandment and Saturday just happen to be the 7th day based on how the Babylonians designed their calendar and named the days of their week. Sunday became the first day of the week because they ordered them according to how fast the planets appeared to move in the sky. The Sun was the fastest so it became the first day. Had they decided to start with the slowest planet (Saturn) then Saturday would have been the 1st day and Sunday the 7th day. However, Christians are not "under" the Old Testament Law; which includes the Law of the Sabbath. As Christians when we accept Jesus Christ we enter into his rest as he is our eternal rest/Sabbath! We cease from our own personal pursuits and rest in the will of God; so "everyday" for a true Christian is a Sabbath day. Jesus is Lord over the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made "for man" and not "man for the Sabbath". Therefore, from a human standpoint you should not be working 7 days a week! You actually physically need a day of rest! But since we are not "under" the Sabbath law, other work schedules are not a sin but they won't be "the best" schedule for your body! Believe me I worked "swing shift" at a power plant and I didn't know if I were coming or going and whether it was night or day! 😊😂 Be Blessed! Amen!

I got saved my sophomore year in college and I immediately discerned that fraternities and sororities are not godly because they are about exclusion when God is about love and inclusion
I’m a member of Alpha Phi Alpha and a lot of the stuff he said about our crest was not correct.. Pledging Alpha were never worship any false God’s and we actually prayed a lot while going through our process.. We were taught what everything means on our crest and due to him not pledging he doesn’t know what the crest mean to our fraternity.

This is religion indoctrination and foolishness. If God wanted everyone to denounce our Fraternities and sororities he would tell us himself. Many church folk are so weak minded depending on this Religion to tell them everything since slavery.
