    Please include that darker shades are normal and not just "pink" for our African American patients and other people of color. Thank you for these videos. Just a friendly reminder of how diversity and inclusion is always important. Thanks again!!

    Hi Dr. Ryan thank you so much for your video, I do have questions regarding 9:04 where you state that asymptomatic teeth with apical periodontitis can be delayed, but isn't they are also considered to be questionable teeth or infected teeth? why can they be delayed?

    Hello Brian: please don’t say that dentists play a major role. I have worked for many dentists so far, none of whom have bothered to look beyond cavity (some even not that). Patients have been going to their dentist for a very long time and yet it was I, a Dental Hygienist, who saw the patient for the first time, noticed change, or abnormality on the tongue, gingiva, and face. Referred patient who was not going to admit, and turned out cancer: unfortunately, in very advance stage! One patient of mine immediately took my advice and needed only 2 appointment to remove a skin cancer. So, please give credit to hygienists like me as well. Thank you.

    why asymptomatic teeth with periapical involvement can be delayed?

  • @Helyballa
    @Helyballa 2 роки тому

    hi Dr. Ryan. Thank you for your amazing videos. I have a question. Why are you recommending deferral of treatment of ASYMPTOMATIC teeth with peri-apical involvement in cases where a patient is about to start chemo/radiation. From my point of view, a tooth with peri-apical involvement, even if asymptomatic, is a very questionable tooth, and one that may start to become symptomatic any time...its like a ticking B!

    Hi Dr, based on your explanation to provide routine dental care for pt under chemotherapy we better wait 17-22 days after the last cycle of therapy they has . Now I need to know how long after the last session of chemotherapy we can perform some major dental procedures for them? do we have to wait more than 3 months? there are several different answers online and I need to know the best acceptable by board exam.

    Hi Dr. Ryan, I'm trying to get the powerpoints for your videos for my INDBE prep. If I send $15 via paypal, does that include the INDBE vidoes as well as Part I/II videos? How about for the videos that haven't been made yet?
    I'm also signing up for INDBE bootcamp--not sure if the powerpoint will be included with that subscription. Thanks!

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  2 роки тому

      The $15 will get you the INBDE slides which include the New Perio Classification, full Head & Neck Anatomy series, Oral Medicine series, and future series that I do for the INBDE specifically. It does not include Part II videos which is a separate $30 donation. And a Bootcamp subscription does not include the slides.
