Even though God knew Pharoah would resist his will God still offered him the chance to do the right thing. Lord, you're so loving and merciful to us. May your name be glorified now and forever.
God never wanted to favor the Pharaoh in any way. The pharaoh tricked, hated, and looked down on the people of God. So God returned the favor: hardened his heart, killed his firstborn, made him look like a fool in front of his power and God treated pharaoh like a weak peasant. All to show the people of Israel that God aint nothing to **** with. There is now a new mockery waiting to happen. Daca and immigrants escaping from their own lands which the usa has all affected one way or another. Will God treat the USA like pharaoh or like the King who was given mercy? "Do unto other as they have done to you" or "when a man strikes you on the cheek, turn the other cheek so that he may also strike it"
I just got through genesis with your bible plan and I'm getting more out of the bible than I have before. It's only the first book, but the stories just popped out to me and came to life. I could see some of these in my mind. At times, I would be in shock. At other times, I would laugh because of something I found amusing. Some parts, I didn't completely enjoy or understand, but as a whole, I got a lot more out of Genesis than before. It's my first time reading through Genesis completely and I'm glad that I made it through. I didn't read everyday, but I caught up the next day by reading (or listening because I use audio too) both days passages. I'm actually excited to go to Exodus. Your videos help me understand what's going on and they help bring the bible to life. Thank you for all your hard work and keep it up. I hope to finish the bible with this plan by the end of the year. God bless.
this comment made me smile :) I remember the first time I read through the whole genesis I felt the same way. It really is better to read it the whole way through like that, because you get so much out of it!! I've read through the first five books of the bible, but after that I'm so, so lost because I don't know any of the history. I'm so excited for these guys to help me understand that part! :)
David William A. You should dig even deeper. Each story there is a picture or type of Christ. For example: Abraham sent his servant to find a bride for his son Isaac to inherit all things. God sent the holy spirit to find a bride to Jesus to inherit all things. Joseph’s whole life is a type of Christ. For example while he was in jail the two men had a dream about bread and wine and Joseph said to them “Remember me.” Hmm
If the Bible Project had comic books, I'd buy them. I learn in pictures and audio/sound. Their videos make my bible study so easy! My mind can't stand too much text but their videos help me a lot. May God impart more of His teaching and creative spirit to you! ♥
What a phenomenal series. I have been a christian for almost 15 years and I have NEVER seen such an intricate, yet simple explanation of the Books of the Bible. I wish I had these videos when I first became a christian. Learning to read, understand, and disecct the Scriptures is daunting as a new christian. I had good men and women of faith that assisted me throughout my journey but if I had no-one, this series would have been an immense blessing. Thank you for the hard work in putting this series together. I look forward to finishing this series and adding it to my Devotions collection!
I am a History teacher and Bible is a great resource for me to learn more about The Ancient World. My interest grew even more after I started watching Bible project. Thank you BP team. May God bless you with more and more topics and creativity.. Amen
I'm understanding the bible way better thank you guys! This is a brilliant idea to get people to comprehend the stories. God knew what he was doing when he made y'all! My blessings to the whole team!!!
I am so grateful for these overview explanations. Thank YOU! I live in China and there are no Bible study groups here. I am sad to inform that my true walk with God is new in my old age. I have always loved God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. I'm reading the entire Bible for the first time, I have so many questions. Your overviews have been a true blessing!
I don't know who produces this series, but this has got to be the most succinct, well thought out, abbreviated telling of the Scriptures. If someone is willing to watch this, God will touch their hearts and gently push them towards the Scriptures, and hopefully salvation in Jesus Christ. Praise God for what you are doing!
Just finished reading Exodus completely, for the first time, and thought I'd watch this to solidify what I read. While watching this, when it got to the Passover part, I was reminded of the sequence of events that took place before Christ's crucifixion (probably because I'm also reading Matthew right now) during Passover. And how Christ was the spotless Lamb just like the spotless lamb in Egypt and how the blood protected them. Just like Christ's blood was shed for our sins and His righteousness imputed on us. Sorry if this is confusing... But I just now made that parallel thanks to the Holy Spirit. Even though I've heard about the story of the Israelites in Egypt countless times, this is the first time I've truly made the parallel of the Passover then (Old Testament) and the lamb to the one in Matthew right before Christ's death. God Bless and thank you for your videos!!
If Christ's righteousness is being or can be inputted into us, can I say sin can also be inputted into someone according to Psalm 32? So then why do we always blame Judas who played his roles in the process of saving mankind? ( Well, just thinking aloud.)
mia bobby Yes but the problem is that Human Sacrifice is Unbiblical in Judaism because No man can die for the sins of others. In Exodus 32: Moses tries to offer himself as an atonement for the sins of the People, by being written 'out of Thy book which Thou has written.' To be written out of God’s book means to be written out of the Book of Life; therefore Moses is asking to die for the sins of the Israelites for worshipping the golden calf. God’s response No because each man dies for his own sin: “...And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Lord; perhaps I shall make an atonement for your sin. And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin...and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the Lord God said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them. And the Lord God plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.” Exodus 32:30-35 The point is clearly made in Deuteronomy 24:16, where it explicitly says that no one can die for the sins of another: “...The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the father. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” Deuteronomy 24:16 The whole of Chapter 18 of the Book of Ezekiel clarifies this principle. Furthermore, the chapter teaches that all we have to do to gain Gods forgiveness to stop doing the Bad and start doing the Good. Nowhere does it say that we must have a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. In Deuteronomy 12 God calls human sacrifice something that He hates; an abomination. “....Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God : for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.”Deuteronomy 12:30-31 In Jeremiah 19, God says that Human sacrifice is So horrible that it did not even come into Gods will. “...Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents; They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spoke it, neither came it into my mind: Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but The Valley of Slaughter.” Jeremiah 19:4-6
elkellenhabla The Gd-man relationship was never limited to animal sacrifices, nor was it ever the only means by which a human being obtained forgiveness from Gd for wrongdoing. The reason is that the Bible makes it explicitly clear that Gd had given us other means for obtaining forgiveness. Its abstaining from eating or drinking the blood of a sacrifice, commanded from Gd in order to maintain the distinction between the Jewish people and the pagans. Most pagans ate the blood of their sacrifices as a means of incorporating their gods into their bodies and into their lives. Perhaps this is the source of the Christian rite of communion. But the holiness of the People of Israel requires them to abhor the pagan ways and not to hold the same beliefs as their pagan neighbors. In Leviticus 17 is clearly says that “Any Israelite or any alien living among them who eats any blood -- I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people. For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life. Therefore I say to the Israelites, `None of you may eat blood, nor may an alien living among you eat blood. Any Israelite or any alien living among you who hunts any animal or bird that may be eaten must drain out the blood and cover it with earth, because the life of every creature is its blood.' That is why I have said to the Israelites, `You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood; anyone who eats it must be cut off.” There are many examples in the Hebrew scriptures where other things besides blood can atone for sins. If you are poor and unable to afford a blood sacrifice, Gd allows you to use flour, which is not from an animal and therefore has no blood. If the poor were not able to offer a sacrifice of flour, forgiveness would only be for the wealthy -- but Gd would never exclude humans from obtaining forgiveness on the basis of wealth: Leviticus 5:11-13 So here, in the middle of the commandments concerning the sacrifices for sin, the Bible tells us we do not need any blood sacrifice. This is clear, unambiguous proof; any claim to the contrary is unbiblical and some would say antibiblical. In book of Jonah. He tried to escape from doing Gd's will regarding the people of the city of Niniveh. After the incident of the great fish, he goes to Niniveh, says five words to the people, and what do they do? They fast: “Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything. Let them not feed or drink water”Jonah 3:7 just as Jews do on Yom Kippur. In addition to fasting, the inhabitants of the city also prayed: ‘Let them cry mightily to Gd’ Jonah 3:8 just as Jews do on Yom Kippur. And, finally, the people of the city stopped doing Evil and began doing Good: “Let everyone turn from his evil ways and from the violence which is in his hands.” Jonah 3:8
Rob K ok nothing you said rules out God wipe away our sins thanks to the shed blood of the Lamb of God. Isaiah 53:5 NLT [5] But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
elkellenhabla In Isaiah 53:5, the text is Mistranslated as 'But he was wounded FOR our transgressions, he was bruised FOR our iniquities.' The mistake is that the prefix to the words meaning 'our transgressions' and 'our iniquities' is the Hebrew letter מ (Mem). This is a prepositional prefix meaning 'from' and not 'for.' A more accurate translation would be, 'But he was wounded FROM our transgressions, he was bruised FROM our iniquities.' This means that Isaiah 53 is not talking about a man who died 'for our sins,' but rather it is about a man who died 'BECAUSE of our sins,' or 'AS A RESULT of our sins.' In other words, they(Assyrians/Babylonians) died because we sinned against them by murdering them because the sins committed against the Jews by the nations of the earth resulted in the death of countless innocent Jews.
when I read it the first time I was confused about God hardening Pharaoh's heart. I thought why would God want Pharaoh to resist and be so cruel? Looking at it closely does show that Pharaoh's heart was already hardened, it's that God wanted the Israelites to see His glory and grow many others faith. I'm sure He even touched a few Egyptians.
Good point! God hardening Pharaoh's heart is tough for some to swallow, but I believe God in His knowledge allows for the foolishness of humans to work in His Will and/or His Will includes the evil done (from our free will) to bring the divine results that He meant to come at a designated time and location. Thank you for the comment.
If god is already all-knowing, he has no purpose in hardening the pharoah's heart. He's doing something that not only is akin to torture, but is also pointless. Thus your point is moot.
As is your point about 'free will'. If god is taking the free will from somebody to twist your arm and force you into a biased on unqualified position, that's not free will. If I ask you and your friend a yes-no question with a designed answer, your friend answers wrong, I pull out a gun and shoot him and ask you for your answer, you no longer have 'free will' which is to say you no longer have the will to act as you would normally because I'm removing a choice entirely.
Thanks for your video it helped me get the First prize in the Book of Exodus Quiz Competition in our church. Thanks to God for guiding me to watch this ... Praise the Lord 😇
I am very amazed at God forgiveness levels to us as human people and of his likeness. I praise you father in the name of Jesus for your love and kindness. Amen❤
I love the Bible Project. The synopsis of portions of scripture are presented clearly and help give insight to God's word. I do have one criticism of the opening to the Exodus tale. The Evil of Pharaoh was not only the killing of the Israelite baby boys, but also the oppression via slavery of a group of people solely out of a feeling that he was entitled to oppress them. Slavery whether to sin, our current lot because of the fall, or practiced as an oppressive act is evidence of evil.
Man this is amazing, you've done a brilliant job covering these books. I could literally go on for days connecting all the dots to the New Testament, and I think if people were just willing listen they'd see it as clear as day how real it is. It's just far too intricate with every part of our reality to be conceived by human minds. I really hope I can somehow teach others just how profound this is as well. Thank you Lord for opening my heart to this beautiful story we're all part of. Amen.
My joy is refreshing my knowledge of knowing the God of Abraham. Thank you so much for putting the Old Testament together so well. God is good all the time.
So I am watching this and it’s helping because I have been feeling like it’s hard for me to connect with god lately. I remember the spiritual feeling I had as a kid I remember when I was saved. I remember the feeling I use to get when I connected with The Lord. I have tried to approach him through prayer not asking for anything but just the connection I felt I once had. I pray every day now. I’m 24 and I feel like from ages 16-21 I stopped working on my relationship with Christ and now I deeply regret it because it’s hard to get back to where I was spiritually and I have a family now. I obviously believe in God. I have faith in his plan for me. I pray to him for things I need and just to give thanks for the blessings I do have. Please pray for me if you feel you may have some helpful words please share.
You guys are amazing. You really help me understand the Bible a lot better. I think a lot of young people will be encouraged to explore Gods word because of you guys' videos. It makes it so much easier to read when you understand a bit of background. Thanks!!!

@@Honeybear1815 it has nothing to do with politics. Murder is murder. Life starts at conception. That is when God creates your soul. Taking that life due to the sheer inconvenience to ones self is an abomination. Don’t let the gospel be twisted with your political correctness of wicked men.
Bible Project Creators . I'm a 55 year old man recently converted to Christianity. These videos really help me to read thru my ESV bible as it's difficult to find a bible study for older people. THANKS 🙏
As a kid, its hard for me to imagine things when its on texts but its easy for me to understand it. This helped me to imagine and bring life to my thoughts when reading the bible, thank you!
This is so helpful to understand it all. It's been 2 weeks approximately that I'm reading the Bible (for real this time) and I couldn't have done it without people like you that take their time to make sure us, lost lambs, understand the word of God. Thank you! ❤️
God bless you. All praises to Elohim for the clarity in your videos. There was little emphasis, but Christ's role as the Passover lamb was made clear. Amen. Thank Jesus for sparing all those little lambs and us.
I asked for prayer as well, I am a recovering alcoholic! Sober /clean for 18 weeks I have come to know Christ as my Lord and Savior and I believe the more prayers you have the more things happen. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this Jesus loves you and so do I 🙏❤️💯 Things i do: 12 step ministrie Read the bible Pray in the morning Pray through out the day Pray in the day, afternoon, night God is good
The Bible Project I just read Exodus, and I got one the most misterious questions from this book. The question is..Why did God try to kill moses??? 4;24-26
@@JavyM Dear Javier M. That's a very interestig question. I think the text for me is also not tó clear. This little piece of text looks very simillar to another previous story of the Bible. I'am sure you have read the story when Jacob was fighting with God. After the fight his name became Israel. Jacob had a lot of fear on that night because his brother. But after this battle he got a blessing from the Lord. So we read Moses also had a lot of fear. But meanwhile he forgott to make the sign of the Covenant on his son. How can he be a good leader for Israel if in his family doesn't have any signs of good relationship with God? And this little failure (the "vorskin problem") could causes a bad reputation for Moses among the people of Israel. This is my opinion. But i also hope it can help you.! Respectfully yours
Javier M Because Moses was reluctant to convey Gods message to the the Israelites that the Lord Elohim is their God and Not the Pagan hods of Egypt. Read the Chapter from verse 1
ISAIAH 2 - EXODUS “Their land is also full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.” (Isaiah 2:8) Words By: Father "Exodus means a mass departure. But a departure of what? For the Israelites it was a departure from Egypt to the promised land. But is it really a departure if the soul carries the Egypt heart? You can remove the people out of Egypt but it’s different moving Egypt out of the heart of man which is why the Israelites encountered the many troubles. The golden calf was just a fruit of their idolatry and an expression of their idol worship. The Church still carries this same attitude. It is the heart of idolatry by serving two masters - Me and the gods that please themselves. Cares of the world, deceitfulness of riches and lust of other things has become the modern day golden image and indeed many have given their hearts over to these idols and end up doing what Aaron did. Now it wasn’t that Aaron didn’t love Me, however complacency was in his heart and he ended up doing what all complacent people do - denying Me for the temporary. I have called you out of the world and into My kingdom; but not to bring the world into My kingdom. I am not saying that you cannot desire things. But if the desire owns your heart and you cannot seem to live without it because you feel compelled to have it, then you must consider what it is that you are worshipping. These are desires you must let go of if you want to reach the promise land. You should never look back and think, “The world is also full of silver and gold and there is no end to their treasures.” If I have shown you the path, given you the miracles and offered you a kingdom, then what in Egypt could you possibly want? Cast your cares at My feet, remain faithful to My voice and I will be faithful to meet your every need."
God bless you .This is my second attempt at the Old Testament.Watching this before I read the Bible, helps me to have a better understanding.God bless you and thank you .🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🇦🇺
Just a bit of wisdom to everyone: the videos are great and on point with the bible. However, don't just use the videos as your primary source, the Bible should be everyone's sources. (As the people in Bible Project using the Bible for their videos.) If you receive a message whether from a person, a video, or even from documents about the passages in the Bible, always check the Bible itself for yourself. Example would be the mention of Pharaoh's hardened heart. I never realized that it was both Pharaoh and God doing this. I thought God hardened Pharaoh's heart throughout the plagues. So I decided to look through the bible myself, and indeed I was corrected. Double checking for yourself not only give you insight, but also conformation. Not only conformation about your own faith and beliefs, but conforming what the secondary source presented.
Sorry for the misread on "Hardened Heart", I realized that could be misinterpreted. But I'm referring during the plagues. I was merely using it as an example about looking up stuff for ourselves if we hear something we are unsure about.
We have to be careful when trying to interpret the scriptures, sometimes there's a tendency for us to try and not make God look bad. But the truth is that, He is sovereign, He can do as He pleases, take the bible the way it is and don't try to humanize it or try to reason it out. In Exodus 4:21, Moses has not even come in contact with Pharaoh before God told Moses I will harden Pharaoh's heart so that he doesn't let my people go. In Exodus 9:16 we can see the original plan of God, His main intent of hardening Pharaoh's heart was because He wanted to make His power known to all the world. Romans 9:22 says, What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath-prepared for destruction? Pharaoh was an object of God's wrath, Yes, the same way He has objects of mercy, He also has objects of wrath, He is God, He is allowed to. In conclusion, Romans 9:18 confirms, that God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy on and hardens whom He wants to harden. And that again is because He is sovereign, He can do as He pleases.
Ndifreke Etoedia i get what you’re saying, and i highly agree with you. I was referring to not just believe in the words of 1 person. Gather information from other places, but most importantly the bible because that should be everyone’s primary source. If someone is given a passage, always double check that the passage being presented is used correctly.
Ndifreke Etoedia in addition, im highly aware of those particular scriptures as well. Especially when some of my close friends did a bible discussion on this. And i totally agree with you. God is Sovereign, and we have no say in any matter on what He is doing. We are after all his creations, and the creator has every right to use us for His purpose and glory.
☕I want to thank you guys and the team for these videos. I actually started watching three to four years ago and I have been enjoying the Bible more and keeping the Sabbath more than ever. Great job on the series and the updated version! Stay blessed my brothers and sisters in Christ ❤️
My goal this year is to grow close tyo God as I noticed I was drifting away from God.. I just finished reading genesis using the bible project and i must say it has had a great impact already on my life.. the bible project is of massive help.
Love the explanation you guys gave for the hardness of pharaoh’s heart. That always gave me issues when reading this account. I figured it had to do with God using Pharaoh to bring about redemption and salvation for His people! So good!
Anytime i watch the video of the bible projects i felt that i am already in the bible school. i have learned so many things and very understandable.. i read the scriptures before since i become a born again but i don’t understand the meaning and the word of God 🙏 the Holy Spirit is guiding me to find this video God Bless you more and more 🙏🙏🙏
Blessed are the hands that create such beautiful art and the message is like I can see what's in the word of God...probably because I'm highly visual. LOL. But I do appreciate everyone's hard work and dedication. Amen!🙏🏽👏🏽💖
I just started and The Bible Project has been an awesome companion. You will find yourself getting excited to read the Bible then watch their videos to see how it all comes together.
Hebrew is a language based on concepts so sometimes translations can be off. a better translation is that God made Pharoh's heart heavy. In Egyptian mythology when you died your heart would be weighed and if it was lighter than a bird's feather you would be allowed into the afterlife. If your heart was heavier than the feather your heart and soul would be devoured by hell hounds. This makes sense since the Pharoh's heart was only affected after his son died. (I learned this in a lesson from Light of Menorah Ministries.)
Thank you! Yes, I completely agree. I do not believe that God would ever harden anyone's heart. That is not in His character. I think this is a mistranslation, or a trick of the language. But it's contradictory to say at first he gave Pharoah a chance to then later make Pharaoh more evil.
This doesn't make sense. God is Sovereign and has planned all that comes to pass, including Pharaoh's rebellion. Also, since when do we interpret scripture with mythology?
@@blackjay5338 Exodus 4:21 says that God would harden Pharaoh's heart. Romans 9:17 explains why: "For the Scripture tells Pharaoh, I raised you up for this reason so that I may display my power in you and that my name may be proclaimed in the whole earth."
@@neurodivergentdad thanks for the reference. I start with a fundamental principle that all humans are children of God with free agency, or the power to choose and make decisions for themselves. This includes Pharoah. None of us are pre-destined to exaltation or damnation. And we're not tools of God's by nature - only we can make ourselves a tool through humble submission. Pharoah may have made choices in his life which hardened his heart by the course of natural and spiritual laws - laws created by God. I can't read these verses literally because they contradict what I hold to be a fundamental truth about human nature. I think if you take every scripture literally you'll run into lot of contradictions. Peace.
@@blackjay5338 I appreciate your comment. 😀 Lots of different issues come up, especially with the idea of human agency and free will. I don’t suspect we’ll agree because my starting point and fundamental principles are different than yours. But however it works, praise God for His Grace that overcomes our sin 🙌🏼
The artists, explainers, narrator, all of you have helped me so much. I understand more and the art keeps you interested, the narration explains in helpful ways, all of it helps. Thank you guys, glory to God, and thank you!
I watch these videos after I finish one of the books of the Bible and it is a fantastic way to get a refresher or maybe some things I misinterpreted and it seamlessly sums things up. Very good videos I am impressed and the visual effects really give you the picture. Thank you for the videos and god bless!
3:02 It’s actually Moses / AARON & Pharaoh! Everyone forgets that Moses was accompanied by Aaron who did most of the talking because Moses was a bad public speaker
Pharoh's hard heart was God's tool for future reference for the consequences of stubbornness. We complain about those in power, but they may simply be playing the part of Pharoh. Remain faithful to God and please pray for the nations of the world.
Pharaoh’s rage literally led him to his death, along with his Egyptian followers. “Wrath is cruel and anger is outrageous, but who is able to stand before envy?” Proverbs 27:4. Speaks volumes to me
These videos are getting me through high school religion! Thank you so much for sparking some sort of faith in me, these videos get me so interested in the stories of the bible.
I love your videos and I was wondering if you all would ever consider doing a informative video about the geography in the bible as well as the division of ethnic groups after the flood. I find the genealogy in the bible really interesting and how a lot of it is getting closer towards Jesus. I also have a passion about the study of ethnicities, genetics and race(social construct) for example how Kemet (Egypt) are descendants of Ham on of the sons of Noah and just north of Upper Egypt (imagine the African continent upside down this is how Egypt and many african countries viewed themselves) were the Nubian people. I was also wondering about the different characters in the bible who were not Isralites such as Ruth.
+T.uYI -KANA the real question is, if Joseph, Moses and Paul were all mistaken for Ancient Egyptians (Black African Hamites) then that also means the Israelites were Black people (Afro-Asiatic)
James 8220 I never considered that. I knew most biblical characters were mixed blood, but I did not know the question you proposed. It would be interesting what scripture says.
T.uYI -KANA Deuteronomy 28 says the real tribe of Judah would go into slavery by ships into a spiritual Egypt, (400 years bondage) this is the trans-atlantic slave trade to America Zephaniah 3:10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering (Beyond Ethiopia is Central and West Africa) also notice how Paul was mistaken for a black African Acts 21:38 "Then you are not the Egyptian who some time ago stirred up a revolt and led the four thousand men of the Assassins out into the wilderness?" 39But Paul said, "I am a Jew of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city; and I beg you, allow me to speak to the people." the real fact of the matter is the children of the trans-atlantic and trans-saharan slave trade were the Israelites, Josephus writes about this and also the book "From Babylon to TImbuktu" and "Hebrewisms of West Africa" Shalom
+James 8220 Paul was mistaken for an Egyptian. Well, after the fall of Alexander the Great, his four generals took over the conquered world. The Ptolemies took Egypt. That could just as easy mean that he was mistaken for a Greek.
Thank you so much for this amazing explanation, I love to read the Bible and then come watch your videos so that I can make sure I understood what I read . This truly helps me because I am more of a visual learner . God bless you and this amazing channel 💕
Consuming the main points of the Bible in a succinct and visualized form is so potent! It allows me to build connections and experience emotions in a way that would be impossible without these videos. I'm so stoked to start studying my Bible again! Thank you! Praise God! :-)
I love the contrast between the Pharaoh of Joseph's time and the Pharaoh of Mose's time: One a pretty swell, welcoming dude who appreciates having such a wise advisor like Joseph; the other a stubborn, prideful man who ignores the Prophet's warnings...
This is one of my absolute favourite parts of the OT, it just feels so much more connected to me as a Christian than say Genesis, Leviticus or the prophets, I'm not sure why, I have lost count the amount of times I have read it in numerous translations and it gets better every single time 👍🏻❤✝️
Hi, Please create a video for bible character. Like for Example: MOSES. • Who is Moses? • Things that we need to know about Moses. •What are we going to learn from the life of Moses? and etc. hehehe,
Just read through genesis and with the help of the last two videos, I understood a lot better. I feel like i achieved something usefull by doing so and your videos make it fun! i think you could have talked a bit a about moses and how God ends up using such sad thing for a purpose. pharaoh kills babies - moses mother sends him away on a floating chest down the river - hes adopted by the princess - gets educated in math, science and stuff (he wouldnt if he grew up in his home) - God uses his egyptian knowledge mixed with his humble hebrew roots to cook up a leader. amazing. God is amazing.
I love the bible project. Just an interesting note: According to the Greek Septuagint, there was 75 that came to Egypt (not 70) - And the Israelites spend 215 in canaan, then 215 in egypt, total 430 before the exodus.
I loved the prince of Egypt when I was little. I'm agnostic but I started reading the Old Testament, all these stories are coming back to me from having grown up in a Catholic household.

"Do unto other as they have done to you" or "when a man strikes you on the cheek, turn the other cheek so that he may also strike it"
God hardened Pharaoh's heart from the getgo tho.

Thank you for the hard work in putting this series together. I look forward to finishing this series and adding it to my Devotions collection!

Amen!
So basicly Jesus the lamb of God was crucified on passover, the same night as a lamb got sacrificed for the sake of the people salvation #mindblown
mia bobby Yes but the problem is that Human Sacrifice is Unbiblical in Judaism because No man can die for the sins of others.
God’s response No because each man dies for his own sin:
“...And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Lord; perhaps I shall make an atonement for your sin. And the Lord God plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.” Exodus 32:30-35
The point is clearly made in Deuteronomy 24:16, where it explicitly says that no one can die for the sins of another:
“...The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the father. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”
Deuteronomy 24:16
The whole of Chapter 18 of the Book of Ezekiel clarifies this principle.
Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God : for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.”Deuteronomy 12:30-31
In Jeremiah 19, God says that Human sacrifice is So horrible that it did not even come into Gods will.
@@sirob1193 wait so God would passover with lambs blood but not with the blood of the lamb slain before the foundation of the world?
elkellenhabla The Gd-man relationship was never limited to animal sacrifices, nor was it ever the only means by which a human being obtained forgiveness from Gd for wrongdoing.
In Leviticus 17 is clearly says that
“Any Israelite or any alien living among them who eats any blood -- I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people. For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life. Therefore I say to the Israelites, `None of you may eat blood, nor may an alien living among you eat blood. Any Israelite or any alien living among you who hunts any animal or bird that may be eaten must drain out the blood and cover it with earth, because the life of every creature is its blood.' That is why I have said to the Israelites, `You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood; anyone who eats it must be cut off.”
There are many examples in the Hebrew scriptures where other things besides blood can atone for sins. If you are poor and unable to afford a blood sacrifice, Gd allows you to use flour, which is not from an animal and therefore has no blood. If the poor were not able to offer a sacrifice of flour, forgiveness would only be for the wealthy -- but Gd would never exclude humans from obtaining forgiveness on the basis of wealth:
Leviticus 5:11-13
So here, in the middle of the commandments concerning the sacrifices for sin, the Bible tells us we do not need any blood sacrifice.
They fast:
“Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything. Let them not feed or drink water”Jonah 3:7
just as Jews do on Yom Kippur. In addition to fasting, the inhabitants of the city also prayed:
‘Let them cry mightily to Gd’
Jonah 3:8
just as Jews do on Yom Kippur. And, finally, the people of the city stopped doing Evil and began doing Good:
“Let everyone turn from his evil ways and from the violence which is in his hands.” Jonah 3:8
Rob K ok nothing you said rules out God wipe away our sins thanks to the shed blood of the Lamb of God. Isaiah 53:5 NLT
[5] But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins.
I'm currently learning the bibles stories through your videos to get closer to Christianity, and the lord, thank ou for making these videos ❤
when I read it the first time I was confused about God hardening Pharaoh's heart.
Jerome Danner Since god is omnipotent, that renders your argument moot.
I pointed to God being all-knowing, so how is my "argument" moot?

Amen.

hi

ISAIAH 2 - EXODUS
“Their land is also full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.” (Isaiah 2:8)
Words By: Father
"Exodus means a mass departure.
The Bible Project is good

Jesse Rae Johnson Agreed, Romans 9 (specifically verse 17) talks about it as well.
This is so rewarding to see the bible come to life in these videos. Blessings to the bible project.

I never knew the Bible was so interesting! I’m hooked!
Finished the book of Exodus in december 1 2024 (this video helped me a bit)
This is absolutely incredible. The drawings are absolutely amazing! God bless you guys.
Glenn Beck sent me here! This is wonderful! Really helps me understand my Bible more!
3:02 It’s actually Moses / AARON & Pharaoh! Everyone forgets that Moses was accompanied by Aaron who did most of the talking because Moses was a bad public speaker
Thanks for the goodness & mercy of the Lord 🙏🙏❤️💕❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌹💐🌷🌼🌺🌸🌿🥀🌱🌾🌻🙏🙏🎋🙏🙏
Amen
I have read Genesis before and didn't get the full understanding of it. I'm grateful for this study.
Just an awesome way to tell the stories! So glad I'm a small part. :)
I love this style of teaching! If I had this stuff for all of my classes years ago I would have been a straight A student!
+T.uYI -KANA cool idea.
T.uYI -KANA Deuteronomy 28 says the real tribe of Judah would go into slavery by ships into a spiritual Egypt, (400 years bondage)
this is the trans-atlantic slave trade to America
Zephaniah 3:10
From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering
(Beyond Ethiopia is Central and West Africa)
also notice how Paul was mistaken for a black African
Acts 21:38
"Then you are not the Egyptian who some time ago stirred up a revolt and led the four thousand men of the Assassins out into the wilderness?" 39But Paul said, "I am a Jew of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city; and I beg you, allow me to speak to the people."
the real fact of the matter is the children of the trans-atlantic and trans-saharan slave trade were the Israelites, Josephus writes about this and also the book "From Babylon to TImbuktu" and "Hebrewisms of West Africa"
Shalom
Thank you! Praise God! :-)
Слава Богу, все доступно и понятно рассказано. Сердечное спасибо
may God of israel, abraham moses david bless all the workers of this channel this is the work of the holy spirit hallelujah

You guys are a true blessing. Thank you.
Fantastic way of biblical storytelling. Its a great way of learning for young and old alike. 👍
To God be the Glory! Amen ✡🇮🇱✝
Thank you for this you really helped me understand something I didn’t understand God bless you!!!
I’m a visual person so these videos are super helpful! Thank you❤️
I love the contrast between the Pharaoh of Joseph's time and the Pharaoh of Mose's time:
One a pretty swell, welcoming dude who appreciates having such a wise advisor like Joseph; the other a stubborn, prideful man who ignores the Prophet's warnings...
thank You Lord for rescuing us from the slavery of sin and for dealing with the evil and injustice in our lives!
Excellent, thank you!
This is one of my absolute favourite parts of the OT, it just feels so much more connected to me as a Christian than say Genesis, Leviticus or the prophets, I'm not sure why, I have lost count the amount of times I have read it in numerous translations and it gets better every single time 👍🏻❤✝️
thanks a lot this helped me understand more about the bible and god
Thanks for this great explanation, human be has been so corrupt, arrogant and evil🫤while God is showing them His Almighty mercy
Hi,
Please create a video for bible character.
Like for Example: MOSES.
• Who is Moses?
• Things that we need to know about Moses.
•What are we going to learn from the life of Moses?
and etc.
hehehe,
Jonathan Ballesteros I’m surprised they haven’t done character studies.
They didi
Love watching these before I read my Bible! i appreciate the visual as well!
These are brilliant with the Bible plan you have going. Thanks for all your hard work.
I believe this the Greek Septuagint in this one.
God is so amazing . He’s so loving and forgiving.
These are so creative
This Bible project videos really make the Bible alive. Fabulous art as well.
"pharaoh is the worst character in the bible so far"
Me: "🤔 what about the snake?"
Actually what about god ?

muito bom. Adorei. Obrigada a todos os envolvidos por espalhar as palavras maravilhosas de Deus. Deus os abençoe. 😊
I loved the prince of Egypt when I was little. I'm agnostic but I started reading the Old Testament, all these stories are coming back to me from having grown up in a Catholic household.
God knows better than we do.
thank you so much for your videos :)
man this thing brings everything you read together... yet I still think about the details that are significantly present to me, from experience. I now know that the Bible to me is reaching to levels iv never attained.
Greeting in the name of Jesus
This video is a not simple, really great team job, because of very clear explanation, and Animated art .. I think u have a lot of time to be prepared this video.

Thank you for loving us and devoting your talents to the spreading the good news!
Hey one thing many people struggle for is, how can i know God is real when I cant see him? There are many ways to explain it. You should do a video about that, just a sugestion.
PillowCrush hi, so scripture says
- man cannot see God, or we will perish
- draw near to Him and He will draw near to you
