The fact that those clowns in the studio broadcasting the stages can talk for 4 hours everyday without once talking about suspicion of doping shows what a show we are watching
I watch the broadcast in italian and damn, they are the worst. As soon as some sus comment shows up they defend the riders like they were their brothers. "It's the new materials!" "It's the new nutrition!" "It's the marginal gains with altitude training and wind tunnel!" "They have mutations! Pogacar has superhuman glycolytic capacity while Jonas has the highest VO2 ever recorded, they are aliens!" "The riders are checked a thousand times each race, their bikes are torn apart for controls and they take blood samples every stage" it's tiring. This doesn't justify anything. These are impossible performances even considering doping.
I watch every stage in full and the pre show and post show. The things these commentators say is EVERYTHING BUT "doping". The words they use to describe these feats of strength, power and endurance is quite comical. You can clearly tell that they KNOW 100% that these are not the feats of "clean" athletes but they say the dumbest things to make people think it's all above board 🤘🏻🏴
The funniest part was Pogacar riding the bike with no hands on the handlebar to grab a bottle of water. Powermove by the Slovalien who seemed relaxed the whole way. He straightens his back, opens the bottle, pours the water over himself to cool down while climbing Plateau de Beille at record pace behind our favorite Anchovy who was pedalling the hardest he could.
I read Pogacar made an estimated 6.98W/kg for 39 minutes. His average speed on Strava was 23.8km/h and for the last 5k when he attacked Jonas, his average speed was 26.0km/h. A climb with 15.8k and a gradient of 7.9%. Bonkers. He not only beat Pantani's record, he also beat Bjarne Riis mutant performance in Hautacam. I've read Bjarne Riis is estimated to have sustained 6.8 W/kg up the Hautacam in 1996.

it's all sports, just some like cycling it's more obviously because of science. where as other sports it's likely more of scripting than performance enhancements.
But Pogi is nice. He's so nice to everyone. He's not like Lance. Lance was mean! That's why Lance was a bad guy. Pogi's a nice guy so he can't be doping 🤣🤣🤣
It's about time we address Pogacars remarkable rise since he joined UAE in 2019. His first season as a junior wasn't anything special, but we have to remember that he was born later in year (September) which is a disadvantage at that age. In his second season he definitely proved his talent by winning the Giro della Lunigiana. However, in the entire season he only won two stages and never put any distance on his competitors. His time trial abilities were less impressive. A 25th and 68th spot. His first season as a U23 rider wasn't too great either. He won a few youth jerseys, but didn't record a single stage win. His second season was definitely better, but still hit and miss. He won the Tour de l'Avenir, but didn't record a stage win. He also finished 7th at the WC road race. Promising, but not exceptional. Then he moved to UAE. Its CEO is Mauro Gianetti, possibly the dirtiest rider and sports director in history. Suddenly he started to win stage races (Algarve, California, and individual mountain stages in the Vuelta against the likes of Valverde and Roglic. He also became a much better time trialist beating Mohoric and Tratnik in the Slovenian championship. Give me a break.
I think L'Equipe are still being very diplomatic about this rolling pharmacy, compared with how damning they've been before. Also, can you imagine the times Pantani would have done on today's sauce?
too much emphasis on what the supposed talent like pantani did, when compared to a minor player such as emmanule sella in the 2008 grio. not only winning 2 long stages in breakaways but also destroying the field in an uphill tt. pantani never won consecutive tour stages.
The ONLY pro cycling channel worth watching! CO rebreathing and old-fashioned mico-dosing feast all round! P.s. I absolutely love the correct use of Rabobank and Saunier-Duval team names!
As a cyclist myself riding Zwift & local rides, it's truly demoralising to see those performances. For one, I appreciate their strength and cheer for them, but when I hear it's all doping, it Hurts!! I'm 😢 slow because I'm clean. The media and organizers are just putting a choreographed circus for us. It's not Cycling. It's something else.
This is amazing! All the doped climbing records from the past are being smashed by this new generation of clean riders. How do they do it? It's incredible and oh so inspiring and even uplifting... eh hmmm.
0:11 in... thats that... Comon, he put about 5 minutes into the old record holders... the 10th on the day was 5.57 back. In pre Wineguard-Pogocar days, the 10 th was back by max 3 mins, in the 3rd week, on the hardest stage (all other mountain stages; the 10th was back max 1 min)... Its as unreal as it ever was. But I admit, in a strange way, I love F1-moto-cycling nowadays (before I was pixxed off by guys like Vroom Vroom). Its a farce, until every rider rides the same bikes, fully x-rayed pre and after stages, inclusive the replacement bikes. Those times cant be done with "normal" doping (EPO, blood transfusions, gene altering, painkillers like Tramadol, and what the heck else) only. Geez, even Bolt´s 9.58 looks more realistic now. Motors are used in pro cycling of nowadays, no tiny doubt about it.
This is like watching old World Wrestling Federation. Eventually, L'Quipe is going to have to investigate and save the Le Tour, because people are going to start staying home because they are so disillusioned with cycling's credibility. The highest ranked Frenchman is almost 40 minutes back.
Unfort, I don't think this will be the case. Both the fans and commentators love this a lot, cycling is getting more famous "thanks" to these mutants. That's why nothing has been done yet. They are clearly not clean but they bring in the money, so it's in no one's interests to make everything crumble. I would try to, if I was another rider. Getting humiliated like this while doing human's possible best must be incredibly annoying.
Come on..something is wrong...first Pogacar quite easily wins the Giro Italia without overexerting himself. Then the Tour De Fance starts and in the first 14 days Pogacar smashes everyone with a drive close to or beyond 7 Watts per kilo.... Next, a suspicious person appears, who in the media shows pictures of Pogacar's changed training methods, which should be the reason for Pogacar's crazy performance. Where Pogacar in the slip stream of the mention of his training methods explains that he would like to know who this person is who has followed him in his efforts to become so much better than all other cyclists. What nonsense and nonsense gibberish. Has Pogacar himself staged the whole explanation of why he has raised his level so emphatically in the course of 12 months, and then wants to know the suspicious person who "knows" and has "followed" him in the process? Why does Pogacar finish after the last solo start of the 21st stage without a drop of sweat on his forehead and looking as fresh as if he had just taken a trip to the Sunday bakery, where every other cyclist in the Tour De France seems to be close to death after completing the same stage? Is there really no one else asking these questions? However, how foolish can the doctors at the Tour De France doping control be when they accept this supernatural performance without asking any more questions?
Not as though it wasn't before, but cycling has become the ultimate clown show of endurance sports. While today's top riders may be marginally better than those in Lance, Pantani and Ulrich's day, there's no way you can convince me they are such superior shape minus drugs to be smashing climbing records on heavier bikes. Not buying it. Whatever "cocktail" and or programme Pogi, Vignegaard and others are on makes the EPO and blood transfusion era look tame in coparison.
Lance's 99 climbing bike weighed 6.9 kg. There are plenty of bikes in the peleton that weigh this now. The difference is they are aero while the bikes back then were not. The riders are doped just as they were back then. The bikes, nutrition, fueling, and training are all much more advanced today, however. You know nothing.
@@roadcyclist1 nothing aerodynamic about those fat useless monstrosity bikes. They just have huge down tubes & bottom brackets to hide batteries and motors in 🙄
The doped to the eyeballs cycling of the 90s was the most exciting to watch by far. Ethically clean cycling takes the moral prize, but a 100% clean rider would get obliterated by doped sprinters on the mountain stages. The plateau de'beille stage was a complete blast.........dope away guys and keep it up
There are over 150 other riders in this event and we are discussing the three firsts as if this was a video game strategy. Let’s let go of those clowns and have a look at the faces of the other stage finishers. They don’t all look to be on e-bikes and juice.
No mention of Pogis bathtub ? Its the icecold baths that keeps him 100% fresher than the ever so fresh anchovy. Plus somebody needs to mention the pull of Jorgenson, how long did he pull, and how much did they gain on Pantani on that part ?
Don't forget the unbelievabale ride by the Mummy of Man to finish inside the time limit. A presenter on a main european cycling channel was quoted as saying "He must have absolutely motored up that final climb" LOL.. They even use the quote it in their thumb nail video..Hilarious!!!
Whats suprising me is no one is asking them any questions about this? its crazy how can you inprove this much in 1 year and they always in prove every year next year we will see this climb be climbing at 7,5 instead...
Pogacar is somehow growing. If he still grows and peaks at 28 like many riders we will probably see a climb where he attacks and just never sits again. Endless attack to the end. A full climb sprint. We are getting close to that.
There's more money in this sport than ever before and all the publicity these lads are giving the sport is making new markets in new countries. There's way too much money at stake for them to uncover this sh1t!! They will do their best to keep it covered up!! 🤘🏻🏴

One thing i also wonder is are there no one trying to get these riders caught like in the old days with david walsh? are there any journalist like that now a daýs?

It’s more than amazing. It’s unbelievable, like literally, I can’t, I won’t, believe it. Just doping differently. But it’s just riders responding to the demands placed; also totally unrealistic. The expectation that a company only has profits year after year is ridiculous. That riders can do more, in less time and without aid, utterly absurd. So who’s to blame????
Your whole channel and this excellent queenstage video is dedicated to just one point, there is no real athletic competition. It's a game between "doctors", finding suitable mules and seeing how far they can go drug them on the track, like greyhounds or worse. With deference of course to those financing the whole affair, who are only interested in the return on investment. Of course "Arab petrol dollars" are the top rung of this ladder now, and they will be replaced eventually. Being a rather simple guy, I still love to dream of what it could be like to see these guys compete "paniagua", and what would happen on a stage like this.
I have to stop drinking coffee whilst watching these videos.....it messes up my screen ....And although this is the most cynical channel on the tube it has to be the funniest also. Tiny Tim was a new one 😂 and goggles Gaudu....
All the equipment, nutrition and training improvements must have happened all at once in the last couple years, cause in the 20 years or so before no one touched that doped times. Shouldnt it have happened gradually, times getting closer and closer? Light and/or aero bikes, deep wheels, easily digestible carbs, ketones, etc, have all been around for a long time, but there has been a marked jump in average speeds and power/weight in the last few years
Pogi doing Pogi things, smashing doping records by minutes, yep, all very legit and nothing to see. Let's see what this freak show throws up in the Alps next week.
I always thought Armstrong and Pantani would be the Florence Griffith Joyner of cycling, when the EPO monsters totally destroyed climbing records. Think again!.
Pantani had so much drugs in his body, that Pablo Escobar wanted to hire him. And STILL doped to the gills Italian loses his ascent record to 920% clean Slovalien! Marvel! Miracle! He's an absolute gift to the world!

The only time it wasn't followed during a race I was in, a team leader dropped his chain, the rest of us decided to wait, and while we were waiting one of his teammates attacked the entire group and sped up the hill. whoever thought little fishy boi from denmark had a chance after crashing in spring is delusional. you dont miss like 2 months of preparation and are able to win the tour. no one can do that.
Upps, he is about to do that. Only a crash or another meltown away from Pog. Not that unlikely. So indeed, I think he is able to win this TdF. Before it started I projected him to finish 17th (with a 50+% chance to finish as "also ran"). Thus, he isnt extra-terrestial like Indurain was, no he is out of this and all other universes.
A few years ago my haematocrit was 49 and I'm not an elite athlete or anything remotely similar. Pantani's that fateful day, tested when he was still dehydrated, was 51. He muttered "why me?"
There is neither smartness nor courage in claiming they are doped. If it comes out they are, you are the one that knew it before. If it doesn't come out you there won't be any proof tgat they actually weren't. You can still brag about having a deeper understanding and you are not easily being fooled. A sure win! No matter the result: There is negativity both ways following you. So much about the smartness..... I'd rather go with hope and faith. If I am wrong there will be a short disappointment easy to overcome. Some malice maybe. May their souls find peace. If I am not proven wrong it will fuel positivity. So I am proud to say: They are clean!
I can't understand it actually. If you look at them physically and structurally, Ullrich, Armstrong, riders of the old are physical more gifted than these guys. It's either highly advanced stacks, or min-maxing every element like their small prepubescent bodies, watts per kilo blah blah...but i still can't explain the crazy tt times they can put out. For example if they have a Pantani's build they would never be able pull these TT times.
so they got something new that cant be detected yet. let`s see in a few years if the Armstrong era repeats itself , ones again. or are you going to tell me a 26y old doped record got shattered by a clean rider ?
I honestly don't think the UCI cares if the sport is clean. Sure, they'll pay lip service to clean cycling by telling the public how much more in and out of competition testing they're doing than at anytime previous, but at the end of the day they want the sponsorship money coming in and dare not chase them away from the sport by suspending or even banning the top riders or "actors", in this case. After all, it's the actors who bring drama to the sport and make it the exciting pursuit it is.
it is clear, no aero socks, no combo carbon bars, no aero jerseys, no "gut training" come on, the proof is there...lol Go look at the Move and watch the clowns try and explain what is happening. I think Lance is relieved along with bankrupt barry, as the spot light shits from them with the new records.
Wouldn't surprise me if Pogacar could win the Vuelta this year too - he looks way too fresh/strong after doing the Giro. I'm sure if Jonas was at his usual level after almost getting killed a few months back, the race would be a lot closer....and perhaps a different result. However, even after all the hard attacks, Pogi doesn't seem to be tiring like he has in years past, just getting stronger.

It is all theatre - theatre of the absurd, in fact.
it's all sports, just some like cycling it's more obviously because of science. where as other sports it's likely more of scripting than performance enhancements.
Men's marath8n lowered by 8 seconds over 40 years. Enough said.
8 minutes
People are so ignorant, if they think that these numbers are clean
The TdF is won by doctors and big corporate sponsors like UAE love it. It's essentially a mafia game.
But Pogi is nice. He's so nice to everyone. He's not like Lance. Lance was mean! That's why Lance was a bad guy. Pogi's a nice guy so he can't be doping 🤣🤣🤣
Like Indurain!
Brilliant script, brilliant oration. Double entendre and nicknames are brilliant.
We are being sold a pup with fleas by the ASO.

0:11 in... thats that...
Whoever tries to tell us, that riders nowadays are clean must be absolutely oblivious
even remco did a better time than pantani
Average speeds are going up again and fastest speeds for stages are being broken.. This is not a good sign.
There are a LOT of marketing/PR accounts stalking the comments on social media, trying to convince people this farce is real.
There is a saying "Never accuse an opponent of motives that are meaner than your own". Think about how your remark reflects on you.
Does it matter? If I cared I would've stopped watching decades ago.
This is like watching old World Wrestling Federation. Eventually, L'Quipe is going to have to investigate and save the Le Tour, because people are going to start staying home because they are so disillusioned with cycling's credibility. The highest ranked Frenchman is almost 40 minutes back.
@@englishteacherdon this year is just super embarrassing
Unfort, I don't think this will be the case. Both the fans and commentators love this a lot, cycling is getting more famous "thanks" to these mutants. That's why nothing has been done yet. They are clearly not clean but they bring in the money, so it's in no one's interests to make everything crumble. I would try to, if I was another rider.
However, how foolish can the doctors at the Tour De France doping control be when they accept this supernatural performance without asking any more questions?
friend of the snow lmao

If it comes out they are, you are the one that knew it before.
If it doesn't come out you there won't be any proof tgat they actually weren't. You can still brag about having a deeper understanding and you are not easily being fooled. A sure win!
