Cool video. Usually traders try to reduce brokerage costs. The thing with "top brokers" is that, the fees. Many "pro traders" don't care about that at all, yeah, people should be more worried about their strategies and knowledge than other things

tradezero: intraday short
don't blindly borrow stocks before action happens: can lead to fomo and overtrading
track every 6months-1year to see how much fee is getting taken from your net profit. don't have comission exceed 30% of net profit.

E*trade doesn't have explicit stop loss orders; you have to use contingent orders! Left for IBKR and technical setup much better.
Hi Steven....can you answer this question for me please because you are really smart with your calculationm method...now what's the maximum amount of money that can be traded in a penny stock that is up on the day over 700% percent that has a market cap of $50M and a float of 5M, and base on the supply and demand the supply cannot support the demand....so for a stock with such a limited supply that's up almost 800 percent at what time will it crack , ?....thanks for your help

I’ve been using IBKR for 3 months (my first and only broker), both for options and stocks, and I’ve hardly noticed any considerable charges in terms of commissions/fees. The losses/ red P&Ls are mostly if not all due to bad decisions± bad luck lol, which make the commissions “unnoticeable” so to speak 😅
how is ibkr for you? i opened an account up a while ago but never used it. i opened up a T212 account as well and ended up using CFD account within that platform. would you say IBKR us really well suited to day trading?

Hey Steven....we will all love a recent video especially how in the past 30 days...the market been so wacky up and downs but more downs in my opinion. Please give us a trading video!
What's the best broker for locates? E*TRADE couldn't locate its ass from the ground... Fees not a huge concern right now, but when I see my perfect setup, there's ALWAYS no shares to short, so i miss it 90% of the time. minimum requirements to open aren't an issue, just locates!
shorting overnight shouldn't be a concern for most traders especially starting out, because you shouldn't be shorting shares overnight, until you have some serious experience. Main thing for short sellers looking for brokers is ability to get locates and their cost, that will probably be your biggest hurdle as a short seller. Second would be the commission for trade, but if you are a disciplined trader and wait for trades to come to you that shouldn't be an issue. Place limit orders and route your orders so that you will get a rebate since you are adding liquidity and your overall commission should be minimal and even zero. Gotta be a pattern day trader though

Hi Steven, Do you suggest any broker for Canadian residents as Guardian doesn't support Canadians. I struggle because of excessive margin requirements on the low float by IB and it restricts appropriate share sizing and also IB does not have short inventory
There’s only IB right now bcoz of our government regulations. Very unfair!
Are you sure they don't support Canada? their FAQs say they do, if they don't then Tradezero is the only other option if you are not in Ontario, unfortunately most brokers pulled out of Canada in the last few years I'm not sure why.
Also by short inventory you mean locates? cuz IB does have shorts but they are on a first come basis which kinda suck for low float stocks.

Hedge funds have different contract with brokerage firms. Their fee structure is different to retail traders. Their position size is usually huge as each trade is in millions so brokers want to keep the hedge fund on their platform. Basically they compete with other brokers on that front. I dont think they pay overnight fee, just one off.

I'm not Dux, but I'll give my 2 cents. I don't think it will squeeze given the short interest and the amount of shares outstanding, but that doesn't mean it won't trade higher. It's a possibility it trades up because of people FOMOing. The fundamentals for the company are bad so I wouldn't hold it too long. Don't be greedy. Take profits.
What do your non-us citizens students use as a broker? Because Interactive brokers require a minimum deposit of $25,000. Any other recommendations besides IB please?

Guardian has no plans for less than 25000 shares
I’ve been day trading on a paper account for 2 months and I’ve turned $3k into $20k. I’m planning to switch over to real money but my issue is that I’m under PDT. I’m desperate to get my account over $25k in order to day trade freely. I’m even willing to borrow money, that’s how confident I am. What should I do? Do u know of any prop firms that do stock trading?
