I also think that it's symbolism. She's in between a really fast animal and a really slow animal. It shows how her happiness level is in the grey area. She's not entirely happy like Todd and Mr Peanut Butter or entirely miserable like Bojack and Diane.
It’s also so beautiful how she doesn’t even look at the sloth, who is not noticing her either beside peripherally, and knowing that because comparison steals joy the sloth is the most mentally stable out of the three, despite being the least physically fit. Which is all the more reason I fucking love this show

Yeah, I think like most advice, or things in life, it is all dependant on the circumstances and individual. Some people need to be like this to function mentally. Even a tiny bit of introspection or emotional recognition is gonna make them fall apart and they have too many important bigger responsibilities or mental health things to focus on fixing before letting Love or Grief tear them apart. Having work and goals and the personal motivation to only focus on the now and material gains is sometimes a healthier way to exist if they otherwise will slip into misrrable aimless depression or hear the siren call of substance abuse if given a chance to debate on it/fixate even a minute on their woes. -Then on the other side of the coin, you could get other people who become a bitter repressed and abusive authoritative selfish monster when they don't ever release their honest emotions or express themselves. Some people might become too fixated on work or their self gains, and tune out the needs of others as consequence, which is something PC actually on occasion does by mistake. Some people who focus too much on the Now spend so much time running away that when their sorrow or mistakes catches up to them because of all their avoidance their issues hits them like a train. This probably was what happened to Secretariat and arguably also Sarah Lynn, who had plenty chances to seek therapy and help but still felt too broken inside by the point it was too late for her. I guess what we really usually need is some kind of awareness of ourself and how to arrange the proper balance.
