THAT is a funky song! DANG! I'm a Jazz and Funk man! Heard it on Original Kings of Comedy when the Great Bernie Mac came out to perform! I HAD to find it! Pure Funk In the key of E on the vibraphones by Mr. Roy Ayers! Beautiful! I want to play It on saxophone but it's very synchopated which means it comes across as more like a drum which translates to staccato (slow or rapid individual notes) on the sax, which usually requires more of a drawn out approach which means longer tones. but I think it could be done. gotta practice on it. If this song don't move ya, nothing will! He's rollin on those vibes! It don't get no smoother than this man. He's putting in a lot of work on this song!

Ever since Daddy Bug found out about that malletKAT, I know that he's gotta be sayin' thank You Jesus. To be sure the Deagan had served him faithfully all of the years. But one can only imagine by comparison what a cumbersome instrument it was to carry on the road. It was another good reason that prior to the malletKAT that Roy had spent that time cutting as many if not more vocal tracks compared to instrumentals. If you look all of his recent concert UA-cam vids you see that malletKAT.

You're quite right. It seems like many of Roy's recordings are rare. This one is no different. It was originally on the 1999 release, Smooth Jazz which is on a label that I've never heard of, AFI. The album is so rare that in some instances Stateside copies are more expensive than the imports!
